Mga Salmo 48
1 Gamhanan si Jehova, ug dalayegon gayud sa pag-ayo, Sa ciudad sa atong Dios, sa iyang bukid nga balaan.
Yahweh is great, and he deserves to be greatly praised in the city where he [lives], [which is built on Zion], his sacred hill.
2 Matahum sa gitas-on, ang kalipay sa tibook nga yuta. Mao ang bukid sa Sion, sa mga dapit sa amihanan. Ang ciudad sa gamhanang Hari.
That city, on a high [hill], is beautiful; it is the city where the true [God], the great king, [lives], and it causes people all over the world to rejoice [when they see it].
3 Ang Dios nagpaila sa iyang kaugalingon sa mga palacio niini nga maoy dalangpanan.
God is in the strong towers there, and he shows that he protects the people in that city.
4 Kay, ania karon, ang mga hari manag-alirong sa ilang kaugalingon, (Sila) ming-agi sa tingub.
Many kings gathered [with their armies] to attack [that city],
5 Nakakita (sila) niini, unya (sila) nanghibulong; Nangalisang (sila) nangalagiw (sila) sa pagdali.
but when they saw it, they were amazed; they became terrified, and ran away.
6 Ang panagkurog didto mingdakup kanila, Kasakit, ingon sa usa ka babaye nga nagaanak.
Because they were very afraid, they trembled like a woman who is about to give birth to a child;
7 Uban sa hangin sa timogan. Ginaguba mo ang mga sakayan sa Tarsis.
they shook [like] ships sailing from Tarshish are shaken by a strong wind.
8 Ingon sa among nadungog mao man ang among nakita Sa ciudad ni Jehova sa mga panon, sa ciudad sa atong Dios: Ang Dios magapahamutang niini sa walay katapusan. (Selah)
We had heard [that this city is glorious], and now we have seen that it is. It is the city in which Yahweh, the almighty one, [lives]. It is the city which God will preserve/protect forever.
9 Nagapalandong kami sa imong mahigugmaong-kalolot, Oh Dios, Diha sa kinataliwad-an sa imong templo.
God, [here] in your temple we think about how you faithfully love us.
10 Ingon sa imong ngalan; Oh Dios, Mao usab ang imong pagdayeg ngadto sa mga kinatumyan sa yuta: Ang imong toong kamot napuno sa pagkamatarung.
You [MTY] are famous and (are praised/people praise you) all over the earth, because you rule powerfully [MTY] and justly.
11 Palipaya ang bukid sa Sion, Pamayaa ang mga anak nga babaye sa Juda, Tungod sa imong mga paghukom.
The people who live near Zion Hill should be happy! The people in [all] the cities [MTY] in Judah should rejoice because you judge people fairly.
12 Manlakaw kamo sa paglibut sa Sion, ug libuton ninyo siya; Isipa ninyo ang iyang mga torre;
[You Israeli people should] walk around Zion [Hill] and count the towers there;
13 Larawa pag-ayo ang iyang mga kuta; Sud-onga ang iyang mga palacio: Aron ikasugilon ninyo sa kaliwatan nga umalabut.
notice the walls there and examine the forts in order that you can tell about them to your children.
14 Kay kining Dios mao ang atong Dios sa mga katuigan nga walay katapusan: Siya mao ang atong magmamando bisan hangtud sa kamatayon.
[Say to them], “This is [the city that belongs to] our God, [the one who lives] forever; he will guide us all of our lives.”
