Mga Salmo 21

1 Magakalipay ang hari diha sa imong kusog, Oh Jehova; Ug diha sa imong kaluwasan daw unsa ka daku gayud ang iyang kalipay!

“To the chief musician, a psalm of David.” O Lord, because of thy strength will the king rejoice; and through thy salvation how greatly will he be glad!

2 Ikaw nagahatag kaniya sa tinguha sa iyang kasingkasing, Ug wala mo pagdumilii sa gipangayo sa iyang mga ngabil. (Selah)

The longing of his heart hast thou given him, and the request of his lips hast thou not withholden. (Selah)

3 Kay migula ka sa pagsugat kaniya uban ang mga panalangin sa kaayohan: Nagabutang ka ug purongpurong sa lunsay nga bulawan sa ibabaw sa iyang ulo.

For thou meetest him unasked with the blessings of happiness: thou settest on his head a crown of pure gold.

4 Kinabuhi gipangayo niya kanimo ug gihatagan mo siya, Bisan sa pahalugway sa mga adlaw sa mga katuigan nga walay katapusan.

Life hath he asked of thee, thou gavest it to him, length of days for ever and ever.

5 Ang iyang himaya daku sa imong kaluwasan: Dungog ug pagkahalangdon ginabutang mo sa ibabaw niya.

Great is his honor through thy help: glory and majesty thou layest upon him.

6 Kay gihimo mo siya nga labing bulahan nga walay katapusan: Sa imong presencia gipuno mo siya sa kalipay.

For thou appointest him to be a blessing for ever: thou makest him glad with joy from thy presence.

7 Kay ang hari nagasalig kang Jehova; Ug pinaagi sa mahigugmaong-kalolot sa Hataas Uyamut, dili siya matarug.

For the king trusteth in the Lord; and through the kindness of the Most High shall he not be moved.

8 Hipalgan sa imong kamot ang tanan nimong mga kaaway; Hipalgan sa imong toong kamot kadtong mga nanagdumot kanimo.

Thy hand will reach all thy enemies: thy right hand will reach those that hate thee.

9 Pagabuhaton mo (sila) ingon sa hasohasan sa kalayo sa panahon sa imong kaligutgut: Si Jehova magatulon kanila sa iyang kapungot, Ug ang kalayo magalamoy kanila.

Thou wilt render them as a fiery oven at the time of thy anger: the Lord in his wrath will destroy them, and a fire will devour them.

10 Ang ilang bunga pagalaglagon mo gikan sa yuta, Ug ang ilang kaliwat gikan sa mga anak sa mga tawo.

Their fruit wilt thou cause to perish from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

11 Kay gitinguha nila ang dautan batok kanimo; Nanaghunahuna (sila) ug usa ka lalang nga dili (sila) makahimo sa pagbuhat.

For they directed against thee evil: they devised a mischievous purpose, which they were not able to perform.

12 Kay ikaw magapatalikod kanila; Magaandam ka uban sa imong mga pisi sa pana batok sa ilang nawong.

For thou wilt make them turn their back; upon thy bow-strings thou wilt make ready [thy arrows] against their face.

13 Pagabayawon ka, Oh Jehova, diha sa imong kusog: Sa ingon niini kami magaawit ug magadayeg sa imong gahum.

Exalt thyself, O Lord, in thy strength; [and] we will sing and praise thy power.
