Mga Salmo 118
1 Oh paghatag kamo ug mga pasalamat kang Jehova; kay siya maayo man; Kay ang iyang mahigugmaong-kalolot nagapadayon sa walay katapusan.
Tell Yahweh that you thank him very much for the good [things that he has done for you] He faithfully loves [us, his people], forever.
2 Ipaingon sa Israel karon, Nga ang iyang mahigugmaong-kalolot nagapadayon sa walay katapusan.
You Israeli [people] should [repeatedly] shout, “He faithfully loves [us, his people], forever!”
3 Karon ipaingon sa panimalay ni Aaron, Nga ang iyang mahigugmaong-kalolot nagapadayon sa walay katapusan.
You [priests] who are descendants of Aaron should repeatedly shout, “He faithfully loves us, his people, forever!”
4 Ipaingon karon kanila nga nangahadlok kang Jehova, Nga ang iyang mahigugmaong-kalolot nagapadayon sa walay kapusan.
All you who revere him should repeatedly shout, “He faithfully loves [us, his people], forever!”
5 Gikan sa akong kalisdanan misangpit ako kang Jehova: Mitubag si Jehova kanako ug iyang gibutang ako sa dapit nga halapad.
When I was distressed, I called out to Yahweh, and he answered me and set me free [from my worries/troubles].
6 Si Jehova kadapig nako; dili ako mahadlok: Unsay arang mabuhat sa tawo kanako?
Yahweh is (on my side/helping me), so I will not be afraid [of anything]. No one [RHQ] can do anything that will [prevent God from blessing] me forever.
7 Si Jehova kadapig nako sa taliwala sa mga nagatabang kanako: Busa makita ko ang akong tinguha diha sa ibabaw kanila nga nanagdumot kanako.
[Yes], Yahweh is (on my side/helping me), [so] I will look triumphantly at my enemies [while he defeats them].
8 Labing maayo ang pagdangup kang Jehova Kay sa pagsalig diha sa tawo.
It is better to trust in Yahweh than to (depend on/trust in) people.
9 Labing maayo ang pagdangup kang Jehova Kay sa pagbutang sa atong pagsalig diha sa mga principe.
It is better to trust Yahweh to protect [us] than to trust [that influential/important] people [will protect us].
10 Ang tanang mga nasud nanaglibut kanako: Sa ngalan ni Jehova akong pagaputlon (sila)
Armies of [MTY] many nations surrounded me, [but] Yahweh enabled me to defeat them by his power [MTY].
11 Nanaglikos (sila) kanako; oo, ilang gilibutan ako: Sa ngalan ni Jehova akong pagawagtangon (sila)
They completely surrounded me, [but] I defeated them all by the power of Yahweh.
12 Nanaglikos (sila) kanako sama sa mga putyokan; (sila) gipalong ingon sa kalayo sa mga tunok: Sa ngalan ni Jehova akong pagaputlon (sila)
They swarmed around me like [angry] bees; they were like a fire that blazes strongly, but only briefly, in a thornbush, [but] I defeated them by the power [MTY] that Yahweh gave me.
13 Sa kalit imong gitukmod ako aron nga ako mapukan; Apan si Jehova mitabang kanako.
[My enemies] attacked me fiercely and almost defeated me, but Yahweh helped me.
14 Si Jehova mao ang akong kalig-on ug ang akong alawiton; Ug siya mao ang akong kaluwasan.
Yahweh is the one who makes me strong, and he is the one about whom I [always] sing; he has saved me [from my enemies].
15 Ang tingog sa kalipay ug sa kaluwasan anaa sa mga balong-balong sa mga matarung: Ang toong kamot ni Jehova nagabuhat nga maisugon.
Listen to the joyful songs of victory being sung in the tents of godly/righteous people! They sing, “Yahweh has defeated our enemies by his mighty power [MTY];
16 Ang toong kamot ni Jehova nabayaw: Ang toong kamot ni Jehova nagabuhat nga maisugon.
he has raised his strong right arm [to show he has defeated his enemies]. Yahweh has completely defeated them!”
17 Dili ako mamatay, kondili mabuhi ako. Ug igapahayag ko ang mga buhat ni Jehova.
I will not be killed [in battle]; I will live to proclaim the great things that Yahweh has done.
18 Gicastigo ako ni Jehova sa masakit gayud; Apan ako wala niya itugyan ngadto sa kamatayon.
Yahweh has punished me severely, but he has not allowed (me to die/[my enemies] to kill me).
19 Buksi kanako ang mga ganghaan sa pagkamatarung: Mosulod ako kanila, magapasalamat ako kang Jehova.
[You gatekeepers], open for me the gates of the temple in order that I may enter and thank Yahweh.
20 Mao kini ang ganghaan ni Jehova; Niini mosulod ang mga matarung.
Those are the gates [through which we enter the temple to worship] Yahweh; godly/righteous people enter those gates.
21 Pagapasalamatan ko ikaw; kay gipatalinghugan mo ako, Ug ikaw nahimong akong kaluwasan.
[Yahweh], I thank you that you answered my prayer, and you saved me [from my enemies].
22 Ang bato nga gisalikway sa mga magtutukod Nahimo nga pangulo sa pamag-ang.
[Yahweh’s promised/chosen king is like] [MET] the stone which the builders rejected [when they were building a house], [but that stone] became the (cornerstone/most important stone in the building).
23 Mao kini ang buhat ni Jehova; Kini maoy katingalahan sa among mga mata.
(This was done by Yahweh/Yahweh has done this), and it is a wonderful thing for us to see.
24 Kini mao ang adlaw nga gibuhat ni Jehova; Niini managmaya ug managkalipay kita.
This is the day in which [we remember that] Yahweh acted [powerfully to defeat our enemies]; we will rejoice and be glad/happy today.
25 Luwasa karon, kanimo nangamuyo kami, Oh Jehova: Oh Jehova, kanimo nangamuyo kami, ipadala ang kauswagan karon.
Yahweh, we plead with you to [keep] rescuing us [from our enemies]. Yahweh, please help us (accomplish/do well) [what we want to do].
26 Bulahan siya nga moanhi sa ngalan ni Jehova: Gikan sa balay ni Jehova kami nanagdayeg kanimo.
Yahweh, bless the one who will come with your authority [MTY]. And from the temple we (bless/[ask Yahweh to] bless) all of you.
27 Si Jehova mao ang Dios, ug siya naghatag kanato ug kahayag: Bangana ang halad sa mga linubid, bisan ngadto sa mga sungay sa halaran.
Yahweh is God, and he has caused his light to shine on us. Come, carrying [palm] branches, and join the people [who are starting] the festival as they go to the altar.
28 Ikaw mao ang akong Dios, ug kanimo magapasalamat ako: Ikaw mao ang akong Dios, igapahitaas ko ikaw.
[Yahweh], you are the God whom I [worship], and I will praise you! You are my God, and I will tell [everyone] that you are great!
29 Oh managpasalamat kamo kang Jehova; kay siya maayo man; Kay ang iyang mahigugmaong-kalolot nagapadayon sa walay katapusan.
Thank Yahweh, because he does good things [for us] He will faithfully love [us] forever.
