Lucas 4
1 Ug si Jesus, nga puno sa Espiritu Santo, mipauli gikan sa Jordan, ug siya gimandoan sa Espiritu
And Jesus, full of the Holy Ghost, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, tempted by the devil forty days.
2 didto sa mga awaaw sulod sa kap-atan ka adlaw, ug gitintal sa yawa. Ug siya walay nakaon sulod niadtong mga adlawa; ug sa pagkatapus niini, siya mibatig kagutom.
And He ate nothing during those days; and they having been completed, He afterward hungered.
3 Ug ang yawa miingon kaniya, "Kay ikaw Anak man sa Dios, sugoa kining bato nga mahimong tinapay."
And the devil said to Him, If thou art the Son of God, speak to this stone, in order that it may become bread.
4 Si Jesus mitubag kaniya, "Nahisulat na, `Ang tawo mabuhi dili sa tinapay lamang.'"
And Jesus responded to him, saying; It has been written, That man shall not live upon bread alone, but upon every word of God.
5 Ug sa itaas gidala siya sa yawa ug gipakitaan, sa usa ka paglantaw, sa tanang gingharian sa kalibutan,
And the devil leading Him up, he showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 ug giingnan siya, "Kanimo ihatag ko kining tanang kagamhanan ug ang ilang kahimayaan, kay kini gikatugyan man kanako ug igahatag ko kini kang bisan kinsa nga akong kagustohan.
And the devil said to Him, I will give all the authority and glories of these to thee: because it has been given unto me: and I give it to whom I may wish;
7 "Busa kon ikaw mosimba kanako, maimo na kining tanan."
then if thou mayest worship before me all shall belong to thee.
8 Ug si Jesus mitubog kaniya, Nahisulat na: `Maoy simbaha ang Ginoo nga imong Dios, ug siya lamang mao ang alagara.'"
And Jesus responding said to him; It has been written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him only shalt thou serve.
9 Ug iyang gidala siya sa Jerusalem ug gitongtong sa kinahitas-an sa templo; ug giingnan siya, "Kay ikaw Anak man sa Dios, umambak ikaw gikan dinhi ngadto sa ubos;
And he led Him into Jerusalem, and placed Him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, If thou art the Son of God cast thyself down from thence;
10 kay nahisulat man kini: `Siya magahatag ug sugo ngadto sa iyang mga manolunda mahitungod kanimo, aron sa pagbantay kanimo,'
for it has been written, That He will give His angels charge concerning thee, in order to guard thee,
11 ug `Sa ilang mga kamot pagasapnayon ikaw nila, aron ang imong tiil dili mahipangdol sa bato.'"
and they will bear thee upon their hands, lest at any time thou mayest dash thy foot against a stone.
12 Ug si Jesus mitubag kaniya, "Ginaingon na, `Ayaw pagtintala ang Ginoo nga imong Dios.'"
And Jesus responding said to him; That it has been said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
13 Ug sa natapus na sa yawa ang tanang mga pagtintal kaniya, siya mipahawa usa kaniya hangtud sa laing higayon.
And the devil having perfected every temptation, departed from Him for a season.
14 Ug diha sa gahum sa Espiritu, si Jesus mibalik sa Galilea, ug ang balita mahitungod kaniya nasangyaw sa tibuok kayutaan nga kasikbit.
And Jesus returned in the power of the spirit into Galilee. And the fame concerning Him went throughout the whole country.
15 Ug siya nanudlo sulod sa ilang mga sinagoga, ug gidalayeg siya sa tanan.
And He was teaching in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
16 Ug siya miabut sa Nazaret, diin didto siya magtubo; ug sumala sa iyang nabatasan, siya misulod sa sinagoga sa adlaw nga igpapahulay. Ug siya mitindog aron sa pagbasa;
And He came into Nazareth, where He was brought up: and according to the custom to Him, He came into the synagogue on the Sabbath-day, and stood up to read.
17 ug dihay gihatag kaniya nga basahon sa profeta nga si Isaias; ug sa pagbuklad niya niini, nakita niya ang bahin diin nahisulat kini nga nagaingon:
And the Book of Isaiah the prophet was given to Him; and having opened the book, He found the place where it was written,
18 "Ang Espiritu sa Ginoo ania kanako, kay iya man akong gidihugan aron sa pagwali sa maayong balita ngadto sa mga kabus. Gipadala niya ako aron sa pagpahibalo sa kagawasan ngadto sa mga binilanggo ug sa kahiuli sa igtatan-aw ngadto sa mga buta, sa paghatag sa kagawasan ngadto sa mga dinaugdaug,
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor: hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and sight to the blind, and to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 sa pagpahibalo sa tuig sa kahimuot sa Ginoo."
to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 Ug iyang gilukot ang basahon ug giuli kini ngadto sa tig-alagad, ug milingkod siya. Ug ang mga mata sa tanan nga diha sa sinagoga gitutok ngadto kaniya.
And having closed the book, and giving it back to the officer, He sat down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on Him.
21 Ug kanila misugod siya sa pagsulti nga nag-ingon, "Niining adlawa karon, kining bahina sa kasulatan natuman diha sa inyong pagpatalinghug niini."
And He began to say to them; This day has this Scripture been fulfilled in your ears.
22 Ug ang tanan nanagsultig maayo mahitungod kaniya, ug ilang gikahibudngan ang madanihong mga pulong nga nanggula gikan sa iyang baba. Ug sila nanag-ingon, "Dili ba kini siya ang anak man ni Jose?"
And they all continued to witness to Him, and wonder at the words of grace proceeding out from His mouth: and say, Is not this the son of Joseph?
23 Ug siya miingon kanila, "Sa walay duhaduha inyong igaingon kanako kining maong pasumbingay, `Doctor, ayoha ang imong kaugalingon! Ang among nadungog nga imong gipamuhat didto sa Capernaum, buhata usab dinhi sa imong kaugalingong lungsod.'"
And He said to them, You truly speak to me this parable, Physician, heal thyself: so many things as we heard having been done in Capernaum, do also here in thy own country.
24 "Ug siya miingon, " Sa pagkatinuod sultihan ko kamo, nga walay profeta nga kahimut-an sa iyang kaugalingon lungsod.
And He said, Truly I say unto you, that no prophet is acceptable in his own country.
25 Apan sa pagkatinuod suginlan ko kamo, nga dihay kapid-an ka mga babayeng balo sa Israel sa mga adlaw ni Elias, sa diha nga gitakpan ang kalangitan sulod sa tulo ka tuig ug unom ka bulan, ug miabut ang dakung gutom sa tibuok yuta;
And in truth I say unto you, There were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah. When the heaven was shut up three years and six months, how the famine was great over all the land;
26 apan wala kanilay gipaadtoan kang Elias gawas lamang sa Sarepta, sa yuta sa Sidon, ngadto sa usa ka babayeng balo.
and Elijah was sent to none of them, except to a widow woman in Sarepta of Sidon.
27 Ug sa panahon ni Eliseo nga profeta, dihay kapid-an ka mga sanlahon sa Israel; apan wala kanilay nahinloan gawas lamang kang Naaman nga Siryanhon."
And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha; and none of them were cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.
28 Ug sa pagkadungod nila niini, silang tanan nga diha sa sulod sa sinagoga nangasuko sa hilabihan gayud.
And all in the synagogue, hearing these things, were filled with wrath.
29 Ug sila nanindog ug ilang giabog siya paingon sa gawas sa lungsod ug gitaral ngadto sa kilid sa bungtod diin didto mahitukod ang ilang lungsod, aron ilang ihulog siya sa pangpang.
And rising up, they cast Him out of the city, and were leading Him to the brink of the mountain on which their city was built, to hurl Him down;
30 Apan siya miagi sa ilang taliwala ug mipahawa.
and He having passed through the midst of them went away.
31 Ug siya milugsong ngadto sa Capernaum, usa ka lungsod sa Galilea. Ug sa adlaw nga igpapahulay iyang gipanudloan sila;
And He came down into Capernaum, a city of Galilee, And He was teaching them on the Sabbath.
32 ug nahibulong sila sa iyang pagpanudlo kay ang iyang pagpamulong inubanan man sa kagahum.
And they were astonished at His teaching; because His word was with authority.
33 Ug sa sulod sa sinagoga didtoy tawo nga may espiritu sa usa ka mahugawng yawa; ug kini misinggit sa makusog nga tingog nga nag-ingon,
And in the synagogue there was a man having a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried with a great voice,
34 "Oy! Unsay imong labut kanamo, Jesus nga Nazaretnon? Mianhi ba ikaw aron sa paglaglag kanamo? Nakaila baya ako kon kinsa ikaw, ang Balaan sa Dios."
saying, Let me alone; what is there to us and to thee, O Jesus the Nazarene? Hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
35 Apan gibadlong siya ni Jesus nga nag-ingon, "Hilum diha, ug gumula ka kaniya!" Ug ang yawa, sa gikalamba niya ang tawo diha sa ilang taliwala, migula gikan kaniya nga wala makahimo kaniyag kadaut.
Jesus rebuked him, saying, Be silent and come out from him; and the demon having thrown him down in the midst came out from him, not having injured him.
36 Ug silang tanan nahibulong ug nanag-ingon ang usa sa usa, "Unsa ba kining pulonga? Kay uban sa pagbulot-an ug sa kagahum siya mosugo sa mga mahugawng espiritu, ug sila manggula."
And fear came upon them all, and they were talking together to one another, saying, What word is this? because with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.
37 Ug ang mga balita mahitungod kaniya nahisangyaw ngadto sa tanang dapit sa kasikbit nga kayutaan.
And the report concerning Him was going out into every place in the surrounding country,
38 Ug siya mitindog ug mipahawa sa sinagoga ug misulod sa balay ni Simon. Ug ang babayeng ugangan ni Simon gitakbuyag makusog nga hilanat, ug sila nangamuyo kang Jesus alang kaniya.
Having arisen up from the synagogue, He came into the house of Simon. And the mother-in-law of Simon was afflicted with a great fever; and they asked Him concerning her.
39 Ug si Jesus mitindog nga nag-apong kaniya, ug iyang gibadlong ang hilanat ug kini mibiya kaniya; ug dihadiha mibangon siya ug mialagad kanila.
And He, standing over her, rebuked the fever; and dismissed it; and immediately, having stood up, she continued to minister unto them.
40 Ug sa nagkasalop na ang Adlaw, ang tanang may mga nagmasakiton sa nagkalainlaing mga sakit nanagdala kanila ngadto kaniya, ug silang tanan iyang gitapin-an sa iyang mga kamot ug nangaayo sila.
And the sun having gone down, all so many as had people afflicted with various diseases continued to lead them to Him; and He having put His hands on each one of them, healed them.
41 Ug usab daghan ang gipagulaan ug mga yawa nga nanagsinggit, "Ikaw mao ang Anak sa Dios!" Apan iyang gibadlong sila ug wala niya tugoti sa pagsulti, kay sila nakaila man nga siya mao ang Cristo.
And the demons continued to go out from many, crying, and saying, Thou art the Christ, the Son of God. And rebuking them, He did not suffer them to speak, because they knew that He was the Christ.
42 Ug sa pagkaadlaw na, siya mipahawa ug miadto sa usa ka dapit nga awaaw. Ug siya gipangita ug giadto sa mga tawo, ug ilang gihawiran siya aron dili unta mobiya kanila;
And it being day, having come out, He departed into a desert place: and the multitudes continued to seek Him; and they came unto Him, and they constrained Him not to depart from them.
43 apan siya miingon kanila, "Kinahanglan iwali ko ang maayong balita mahitungod sa gingharian; sa Dios ngadto sa ubang kalungsuran usab, kay alang sa maong katuyoan gipadala ako."
And He said to them, That, it behooveth me to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God to many other cities: because unto this I have been sent.
44 Ug siya nagwali sulod sa mga sinagoga sa Judea.
And He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
