Levitico 23

1 Ug misulti si Jehova kang Moises, nga nagaingon:

Yahweh said to Moses/me,

2 Isulti mo sa mga anak sa Israel, ug ipamulong mo kanila: Ang tinudlo nga mga fiesta ni Jehova, nga igamantala ninyo ingon nga balaan nga mga pagkatigum, bisan kini mao ang akong mga fiesta nga tinudlo.

“Tell the Israeli people about the festivals that I have chosen, the days when you all must gather together [to worship me].”

3 Sa unom ka adlaw pagabuhaton ang mga bulohaton: apan sa ikapito ka adlaw maoy usa ka adlaw nga igpapahulay sa balaan nga pagpahulay, ang pagkatigum nga balaan: walay bisan unsa nga bulohaton nga pagabuhaton ninyo kini mao ang usa ka adlaw nga igpapahulay alang kang Jehova sa tanan ninyo nga mga puloy-anan.

“You may work for six days [each week], but on the seventh day you must not do any work. You must rest. It is a sacred/holy day when you must gather together [to worship me]. Wherever you live, you must rest on that day.”

4 Kini mao ang tinudlo nga mga fiesta ni Jehova, bisan ang mga pagkatigum nga balaan, nga igamantala ninyo sa ilang tinudlo nga panahon.

“There are festivals that I have established for you. Those will also be sacred/holy days when you must gather together [to worship me].

5 Sa nahaunang bulan, sa ikapulo ug upat ka adlaw sa bulan, sa taliwala sa duruha ka hapon, mao ang pasko ni Jehova.

[The first festival is] (the Passover/when you remember that I spared your ancestors when I killed all the firstborn Egyptian sons). That festival will begin at twilight/dusk/sunset on the chosen day (each spring/in March or April each year), [and end on the following day].

6 Ug sa ikapulo ug lima ka adlaw niining bulana mao ang fiesta sa mga tinapay nga walay levadura alang kang Jehova: pito ka adlaw magakaon kamo sa mga tinapay nga walay levadura.

The next day, the Festival of Eating Bread That Has No Yeast will begin. That festival will continue for seven days. During that time, the bread that you eat must be made without yeast.

7 Sa nahauna nga adlaw kamo adunay usa ka balaan nga pagkatigum: walay bisan unsa nga bulohaton nga inalagad nga pagabuhaton ninyo.

On the first day of that festival, you all must stop your regular work and you must gather together [to worship me].

8 Apan maghalad kamo kang Jehova sa halad-nga-ginasunog sulod sa pito ka adlaw; sa ikapito ka adlaw mao ang usa ka balaan nga pagkatigum: walay bisan unsa nga bulohaton nga pagabuhaton ninyo sa inalagad.

On each of the seven days, you must present to me [several animals to be] an offering/sacrifice to be completely burned [on the altar]. On the seventh day, you all must again stop your regular work and gather to worship me.”

9 Ug misulti si Jehova kang Moises, nga nagaingon:

Yahweh also told Moses/me

10 Isulti mo sa mga anak sa Israel, ug ipamulong mo kanila: Sa pagsulod ninyo sa yuta nga akong ihatag kaninyo, ug magaani kamo sa abut niini, nan magadala kamo ngadto sa sacerdote ug usa ka binangan nga inunahan sa mga unang bunga sa inyong pag-ani;

to tell the Israeli people [about other festivals]. He said, “When you arrive in the land which I am giving to you, and you harvest your crops [for the first time] there, bring to the priest some of the first grain that you harvest.

11 Ug itabyog niya ang binangan sa atubangan ni Jehova, aron kini pagadawaton alang kaninyo. Sa pagkaugma sa tapus ang adlaw nga igpapahulay ang sacerdote magatabyog niana.

On the day after the [next] Sabbath/rest day, the priest will lift it up [high to dedicate it] to me, in order that I will accept it as your [gift].

12 Ug sa adlaw nga igatabyog ninyo ang binangan, magahalad kamo ug usa ka lakeng carnero nga usa ka tuig ang panuigon nga walay ikasaway, alang sa usa ka halad-nga-sinunog kang Jehova.

That same day, you must sacrifice to me a one-year-old male lamb that has no defects. You must burn it [on the altar].

13 Ug ang halad-nga-kalan-on niini mao ang duruha sa napulo ka bahin sa usa ka epha sa harina nga fino nga sinaktan sa lana, halad nga pinaagi sa kalayo alang kang Jehova, alang sa usa ka kahumot; ug ang halad-nga-ilimnon, mao ang vino ang ikaupat ka bahin sa usa ka hin.

You must also burn an offering of grain. That offering must consist of (three quarts/3.5 liters) of good flour mixed with [olive] oil. The smell [of those things burning] will be very pleasing to me. Along with that, you must also offer one quart/liter of wine, which will be a liquid offering.

14 Ug kamo dili magakaon ug tinapay, ni lugas nga sinanglag, ni uhay nga hilaw, hangtud niining maong adlaw, hangtud nga makahalad kamo sa halad sa inyong Dios: kini mao ang usa ka balaod nga walay katapusan ngadto sa inyong mga kaliwatan sa tanan ninyo nga puloy-anan,

Do not eat any bread or any roasted grain or unroasted grain on that day until after you have brought those offerings to me, your God. You must always obey [LIT] those commands, wherever you live.”

15 Ug manag-isip kamo alang kaninyo sukad sa adlaw nga mosunod sa adlaw nga igpapahulay, sukad sa adlaw nga managdala kamo sa binangan sa halad-nga-tinabyog; hangtud nga matangkod ang pito ka adlaw nga igpapahulay:

“Seven weeks after the priest offers that grain to me,

16 Manag-isip kamo ug kalim-an ka adlaw hangtud sa adlaw nga mosunod sa ikapito ka adlaw nga igpapahulay: ug unya managhalad kamo ug bag-o nga halad-nga-kalan-on alang kang Jehova.

on the next/50th day after he offers it, [each family] must bring to me an offering from the new crop of grain.

17 Gikan sa inyong mga puloy-anan managdala kamo ug duruha ka tinapay nga sa halad-nga-tinabyog, nga mao ang duruha sa napulo ka bahin sa usa ka epha; kini hinimo sa harina nga fino nga linuto nga adunay levadura, nga sa mga inunahan alang kang Jehova, `

From your homes, bring two loaves of bread [to the priest]. He will lift them up [high to dedicate them] as an offering to me. Those loaves must be baked from three quarts/liters of good flour that has yeast mixed with it. That bread will be an offering to me from the first wheat that you harvest [each year].

18 Ug magahalad kamo sa tinapay uban sa pito ka nating carnero nga usa ka tuig ang panuigon, nga walay ikasaway, ug usa ka lakeng vaca nga nati, ug duruha ka lakeng carnero; kini mao ang halad-nga-sinunog alang kang Jehova, uban sa ilang halad-nga-kalan-on ug sa ilang mga halad-nga-ilimnon; bisan ang halad nga hinimo pinaagi sa kalayo, alang sa usa ka kahumot kang Jehova.

Along with this bread, you must present to me seven one-year-old lambs with no defects, one young bull, and two rams. They must all be completely burned [on the altar]. All those offerings, with the grain offering and the wine offering, will be burned, and the smell [of all those things burning] will be very pleasing to me.

19 Ug managhalad kamo ug usa ka lakeng kanding sa halad-tungod-sa-sala, ug duruha ka lakeng nati sa carnero nga usa ka tuig ang panuigon, alang sa mga halad-sa-pakigdait.

Then you must also kill one male goat to be an offering/sacrifice for your sins, and two one-year-old male lambs to be an offering to enable you to maintain fellowship with me.

20 Ug ang sacerdote magatabyog niini sa halad-nga-tinabyog sa atubangan ni Jehova uban ang tinapay sa mga inunahan; ug ang duruha ka nating carnero: kini mao ang butang bga balaan kang Jehova alang sa sacerdote.

The priest will lift up these offerings [high to dedicate them] to me. He will also offer the loaves of bread that were baked from the first wheat that you harvest. Those offerings are sacred to me, but they are for the priests [to eat].

21 Ug himoon ninyo ang pagmantala niining maong adlaw; may usa ka balaan nga pagkatigum alang kaninyo: walay bisan unsa nga bulohaton nga inalagad nga pagabuhaton ninyo: kini maoy usa ka balaod nga walay katapusan sa sulod sa tanang mga puloy-anan, ngadto sa inyong mga kaliwatan.

On that day, you must stop your regular work and gather to worship me. You must always obey those instructions/commands, and you must obey them wherever you live.

22 Ug sa magaani kamo sa abut sa inyong yuta, dili mo paghutdon sa pag-ani ang daplin sa imong uma, ni paghagdawan mo ang imong ani: ibilin mo kini alang sa mga kabus ug alang sa dumuloong. Ako mao si Jehova nga inyong Dios.

“When you harvest the grain in your fields, do not harvest the grain along the edges of the fields, and do not pick up the grain that the harvesters drop. Leave that grain for the poor people and for the foreigners who are living among you. [Do not forget that it is] I, Yahweh your God, [who am commanding those things]!”

23 Ug misulti si Jehova kang Moises, nga nagaingon:

Yahweh also told Moses/me

24 Isulti mo sa mga anak sa Israel, nga magaingon: Sa ikapito nga bulan, sa nahauna nga adlaw sa bulan mao ang usa ka balaan nga pagpahulay alang kaninyo, usa ka handumanan sa paghuyop sa mga trompeta, usa ka balaan nga pagkatigum.

to give these instructions/commands to the Israeli people: “[Each year] in September, on the day that I have chosen, you all must celebrate it by completely resting. You must not do any work on that day. When [the priests] blow their trumpets loudly, you all must gather together to worship me.

25 Walay bisan unsa nga bulohaton nga inalagad nga pagabuhaton ninyo; ug managhalad kamo ug halad nga hinimo pinaagi sa kalayo alang kang Jehova.

All of you must not do your regular work on that day. Instead, you must present offerings to me that will be burned [on the altar].”

26 Ug misulti si Jehova kang Moises, nga nagaingon:

Yahweh also said to Moses/me,

27 Apan sa ikapulo ka adlaw niining bulana nga ikapito mao ang adlaw sa pagtabon-sa-sala: kini mao ang balaan nga pagkatigum, ug sakiton ninyo ang inyong mga kalag; ug magahalad kamo ug halad nga hinimo pinaagi sa kalayo alang kang Jehova.

“You must celebrate a day [on which you request that I] forgive you for the sins that you have committed. That day will be nine days after the festival [when the priests blow] the trumpets. On that day you must (fast/abstain from eating food). You must gather together to worship me and present offerings to me that will be burned [on the altar].

28 Ug kamo dili managbuhat ug bisan unsang bulohaton niining adlawa; kay kini mao ang adlaw sa pagtabon-sa-sala, aron sa pagbuhat sa pagtabon-sa-sala alang kaninyo sa atubangan ni Jehova nga inyong Dios.

You must not do any work on that day, because it is the day when the priests will offer sacrifices to me to (atone for/ask me to forgive) your sins.

29 Kay bisan unsa nga kalaga nga dili magapasakit sa iyang kaugalingon niining adlawa, pagaputlon siya gikan sa iyang katawohan.

You must expel from your group anyone who does not (fast/abstain from eating food) on that day.

30 Ug bisan unsang kalaga nga magabuhat ug bisan unsa nga bulohaton niining adlawa, pagalaglagon ko kana gikan sa taliwala sa iyang katawohan.

I will get rid of anyone who does any kind of work on that day.

31 Kamo dili magbuhat ug bisan unsa nga bulohaton kini maoy usa ka balaod nga walay katapusan ngadto sa tanan ninyo nga kaliwatan sa inyong tanan nga mga puloy-anan.

You must not work at all! You must always obey those instructions/commands, and you must obey them wherever you live.

32 Kini alang kaninyo mao ang adlaw nga igpapahulay sa balaan nga pahulay, ug managpasakit kamo sa inyong mga kalag: sa hapon, sa ikasiyam ka adlaw sa bulan, gikan sa hapon hangtud sa hapon, magabantay kamo sa inyong adlaw nga igpapahulay.

That day will be a day of complete rest for all of you, and on that day you must (fast/abstain from eating food) [to show that you are sorry for having sinned]. That day of rest and (fasting/abstaining from eating food) will begin on the evening before the day in which you ask me to forgive you for your sins, and it will end on the evening of the following day.”

33 Ug misulti si Jehova kang Moises, nga nagaingon:

Yahweh also said to Moses/me,

34 Isulti mo sa mga anak sa Israel, nga magaingon: Sa ikapulo ug lima ka adlaw niining ikapito ka bulan mao ang fiesta sa mga tabernaculo kang Jehova sulod sa pito ka adlaw.

“Tell the Israeli people that [each year] they must also celebrate a festival of living in temporary shelters. That festival will begin five days after the day in which they request me to forgive them for their sins. It will last for seven days.

35 Sa nahauna nga adlaw adunay usa ka balaan nga pagkatigum: walay bisan unsa nga bulohaton nga inalagad nga pagabuhaton ninyo.

On the first day of that festival, the people must gather together to worship me, and they must not do any regular work on that day.

36 Pito ka adlaw magahalad kamo ug halad nga hinimo pinaagi sa kalayo alang kang Jehova: sa ikawalo ka adlaw kamo may usa ka balaan nga pagkatigum; ug kamo magahalad ug halad nga hinimo pinaagi sa kalayo alang kang Jehova: kini mao ang pagkatigum nga katapusan; kamo dili magabuhat sa bisan unsa nga bulohaton nga inalagad.

On each of the seven days of the festival, they must present to me an offering [of animals] that will be burned [on the altar]. On the next day, they must gather again to worship me and present to me another animal that will be burned [on the altar]. That also will be a sacred gathering, and they must not work on that day, either.

37 Kini mao ang mga fiesta nga tinudlo ni Jehova nga inyong igamantala nga mabalaan nga mga pagkatigum, aron sa paghalad ug halad nga hinimo pinaagi sa kalayo alang kang Jehova, usa ka halad-nga-sinunog, ug usa ka halad-nga-kalan-on, usa ka halad, ug mga halad-nga-ilimnon, ang tagsa ka halad sa iyang kaugalingon nga adlaw,

“[To summarize], those are the festivals that I have appointed. Celebrate those sacred festivals by gathering together to present to me all the various offerings that will be burned [on the altar]—animals that will be burned completely, and offerings of grain, and offerings to enable the Israeli people to maintain fellowship with me, and offerings of wine. Each offering must be brought on the day that I have indicated.

38 Labut pa sa mga adlaw nga igpapahulay ni Jehova, ug labut pa sa inyong mga hatag, ug labut pa sa tanang mga panaad ninyo, ug labut pa sa tanan ninyong mga halad-nga-kinabubut-on nga igahatag ninyo kang Jehova.

(Those festivals must be celebrated/You must celebrate those festivals) in addition to [worshiping on] the (Sabbath days/days of rest). And all those offerings must be given in addition to the offerings that people personally decide to give, and in addition to the offerings that people make to accompany the solemn promises that they have made, or offerings that people make (voluntarily/because they themselves want to).

39 Apan sa ikapulo ug lima ka adlaw sa ikapito ka bulan, sa diha nga makatigum kamo ug bunga sa yuta, bantayan ninyo ang fiesta ni Jehova sulod sa pito ka adlaw sa nahauna nga adlaw maoy usa ka pahulay nga balaan, ug sa ikawalo ka adlaw mao ang usa ka pahulay nga balaan.

“[Returning to my instructions about] the Festival of Living in Temporary Shelters, you must celebrate this festival after you have harvested all the crops. On the first day and on the last day of that festival, you must rest completely.

40 Ug sa nahauna nga adlaw magakuha kamo ug mga bulig nga adunay bunga sa kahoy nga maanindot, mga sanga sa mga palma, ug mga sanga sa mga kakahoyan nga masiut, ug mga tangbo sa sapa, ug magakalipay kamo sa atubangan ni Jehova nga inyong Dios sulod sa pito ka adlaw.

But on the first day, you are permitted to pick fruit from trees. Cut palm fronds/branches and other leafy branches from trees or from bushes that grow by the streams, [and make shelters/huts to live in for that week]. Then rejoice in my presence for those seven days.

41 Ug magbuhat kamo ug fiesta alang kang Jehova sulod sa pito ka adlaw sa tagsa ka tuig: kini maoy usa ka balaod nga walay katapusan ngadto sa inyong mga kaliwatan: sa ikapito ka bulan pagabuhaton ninyo kini.

You must celebrate this festival for seven days every year. You must never stop obeying my commands/instructions for that festival. You must celebrate it in September.

42 Sa mga payag magapuyo kamo sulod sa pito ka adlaw: ang tanan nga natawo sa Israel magapuyo sa mga payag:

During the seven days of that festival, all of you people who have been Israelis your entire lives must live in shelters/huts.

43 Aron manghibalo ang inyong mga kaliwatan nga sa mga payag gipapuyo ko ang mga anak sa Israel, sa pagkuha ko kanila gikan sa yuta sa Egipto. Ako mao si Jehova nga inyong Dios.

That will remind your descendants that their ancestors lived in shelters [for many years] after I rescued them from Egypt. [Do not forget that] I, Yahweh your God, [am the one who is commanding this].”

44 Ug gisulti ni Moises sa mga anak sa Israel ang mga fiesta nga tinudlo ni Jehova.

So Moses/I gave to the Israeli people all those instructions concerning the festivals that Yahweh [wanted them to celebrate] each year.
