Mga Maghuhukom 7
1 Unya si Jerobaal, nga mao si Gedeon, ug ang tanang tawo nga ming-uban kaniya mingsayo pagbangon, ug nagpahaluna tupad sa tuburan sa Harod: ug ang campo sa Madian didto dapit sa amihanan nila, tupad sa bungtod sa More, didto sa walog.
Then Ierubbaal (who is Gideon) rose vp early, and all the people that were with him, and pitched beside the well of Harod, so that the hoste of the Midianites was on the Northside of them in the valley by the hill of Moreh.
2 Ug si Jehova miingon kang Gedeon: Ang katawohan nga anaa uban kanimo daghan ra kaayo alang kanako aron sa pagtugyan sa mga Madianhon ngadto sa ilang kamot, tingali unya ang Israel magapagarbo sa ilang kaugalingon batok kanako, nga magaingon: Ang akong kaugalingong kamot maoy nakaluwas kanako.
And the Lord said vnto Gideon, The people that are with thee, are too many for me to giue the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel make their vaunt against me, and say, Mine hand hath saued mee.
3 Busa karon, isangyaw mo sa mga igdulungog sa katawohan, sa pag-ingon. Bisan kinsa ang napun-an sa kahadlok ug nangurog, pumauli siya ug pumahawa gikan sa bukid sa Galaad. Ug may mingpauli sa katawohan nga kaluhaan ug duha ka libo; ug may nahibilin nga napulo ka libo.
Now therefore proclaime in the audience of the people, and say, Who so is timerous or fearefull, let him returne, and depart earely from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people which were at mount Gilead, two and twentie thousand: so ten thousand remayned.
4 Ug si Jehova miingon kang Gedeon: Ang katawohan daghan pa kaayo; dad-a sila ngadto sa tubig, ug sila sulayan ko didto alang kanimo: ug mahitabo nga kinsa kadtong akong igaingon kanimo: Kini makakuyog kanimo, ang mao makauban kanimo: ug tungod kang bisan kinsa ako magaingon kanimo: Kini dili makauban kanimo, ang mao dili makauban kanimo.
And the Lord said vnto Gideon, The people are yet too many: bring them downe vnto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and of whome I say vnto thee, This man shall goe with thee, the same shall go with thee: and of whomsoeuer I say vnto thee, This man shall not goe with thee, the same shall not go.
5 Busa iyang gidala ang katawohan ngadto sa tubig: ug si Jehova miingon kang Gedeon: Ang tagsatagsa nga mga magatilap sa tubig sa iyang dila ingon sa pagtilap sa iro, pinigon mo siya; mao usab ang tagsatagsa nga moluhod sa pag-inum.
So he brought downe the people vnto the water. And the Lord sayd vnto Gideon, As many as lap the water with their tongues, as a dog lappeth, them put by themselues, and euery one that shall bow downe his knees to drinke, put apart.
6 Ug ang gidaghanon niadtong mga mingtilap, nga nagabutang sa ilang kamot sa ilang baba, may totolo ka gatus ka tawo: apan ang uban sa katawohan nangluhod sa pag-inum sa tubig.
And the nomber of them that lapped by putting their handes to their mouthes, were three hundreth men: but all the remnant of the people kneeled downe vpon their knees to drinke water.
7 Ug si Jehova miingon kang Gedeon: Pinaagi niining totolo ka gatus ka tawo nga mingtilap ako magaluwas kanimo, ug magahatag sa mga Madianhon nganha sa imong kamot: ug ang tibook nga katawohan papaulia ang tagsatagsa ka tawo sa iyang kaugalingong dapit.
Then the Lord sayde vnto Gideon, By these three hundreth men that lapped, will I saue you, and deliuer the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go euery man vnto his place.
8 Busa ang katawohan nanagdala ug mga kalan-on sa ilang kamot, ug ang ilang mga trompeta; ug iyang gipalakaw ang tanang mga tawo sa Israel ang tagsatagsa ngadto sa iyang balong-balong, apan gihawiran ang totolo ka gatus ka tawo: ug ang campo sa Madian didto sa ubos kaniya sa walog.
So the people tooke vitailes with them, and their trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel, euery man vnto his tent, and reteined the three hundreth men: and the hoste of Midian was beneath him in a valley.
9 Ug nahitabo sa maong gabii nga si Jehova miingon kaniya: Tumindog ka, lumugsong ka ngadto sa campo; kay gihatag ko na kana nganha sa imong kamot.
And the same night the Lord sayde vnto him, Arise, get thee downe vnto the hoste: for I haue deliuered it into thine hand.
10 Apan kong ikaw mahadlok sa paglugsong, umadto ka uban kang Pura nga imong sulogoon ngadto sa campo:
But if thou feare to go downe, then go thou, and Phurah thy seruant downe to the hoste,
11 Ug ikaw makadungog unsay ilang isulti; ug unya ang imong mga kamot magmakusanon sa paglugsong ngadto sa campo. Unya milugsong siya uban kang Pura nga iyang sulogoon ngadto sa kinagawasan gayud nga dapit sa mga tawo nga may hinagiban nga diha sa campo.
And thou shalt hearken what they say, and so shall thine handes be strong to go downe vnto the hoste. Then went he downe and Phurah his seruant vnto the outside of the souldiers that were in the hoste.
12 Ug ang mga Madianhon ug ang Amalecanhon ug ang tanan nga mga anak sa silangan nanagpahaluna sa walog ingon sa mga dulon sa gidaghanon; ug ang ilang mga camello dili maisip ingon sa balas nga anaa sa baybayon sa gidaghanon.
And the Midianites, and the Amalekites and all they of the East, lay in the valley like grashoppers in multitude, and their camels were without nomber, as the sande which is by the sea side for multitude.
13 Ug sa diha nga nahiabut sa Gedeon, ania karon, didtoy usa ka tawo nagasugilon ug usa ka damgo sa iyang kauban, ug siya miingon: Ania karon, ako nagdamgo ug usa ka damgo; ug ania karon, usa ka tinapay sa cebada naligid ngadto sa campo sa Madian, ug nahiabut ngadto sa balong-balong, ug nahibangga kini mao nga ang balong-balong mihapla.
And when Gideon was come, beholde, a man tolde a dreame vnto his neighbour, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dreame, and lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled from aboue into the hoste of Midian, and came vnto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and ouerturned it, that the tent fell downe.
14 Ug ang iyang kauban mitubag ug miingon: Kini dili lain kondili ang espada ni Gedeon ang anak nga lalake ni Joas, usa ka tawo sa Israel: ngadto sa iyang kamot gitugyan sa Dios ang Madian ug ang tanan niyang panon.
And his fellow answered, and sayde, This is nothing els saue the sworde of Gideon the sonne of Ioash a man of Israel: for into his hande hath God deliuered Midian and all the hoste.
15 Ug nahitabo kini nga sa diha nga si Gedeon nakadungog sa pagsugilon sa damgo ug sa hubad niana, nga siya misimba, ug mibalik siya ngadto sa campo sa Israel, ug miingon: Tumindog kamo kay si Jehova nagtugyan nganha sa inyong kamot sa panon sa Madian.
When Gideon heard the dreame tolde, and the interpretation of the same, he worshipped, and returned vnto the hoste of Israel, and said, Vp: for the Lord hath deliuered into your hande the hoste of Midian.
16 Ug gibahin niya ang totolo ka gatus ka tawo sa totolo ka pundok ug gibutang niya diha sa mga kamot nilang tanan ang mga trompeta, ug mga tibod nga walay sulod lakip ang mga sulo sa sulod sa mga tibod.
And hee deuided the three hundreth men into three bandes, and gaue euery man a trumpet in his hande with emptie pitchers, and lampes within the pitchers.
17 Ug siya miingon kanila: Tan-awa ako ninyo, ug buhaton ninyo ang ingon niini: ug ania karon, kong ako moadto sa kinagawasang dapit sa campo, ug mao kini, nga ingon sa akong buhaton, buhaton usab ninyo.
And he sayd vnto them, Looke on me, and do likewise, when I come to the side of the hoste: euen as I do, so do you.
18 Kong ako magahuyop sa trompeta, ako ug ang tanan nga mouban kanako, nan huypa usab ninyo ang mga trompeta sa tanang daplin sa campo ug mag-ingon: Alang kang Jehova ug kang Gedeon.
When I blowe with a trumpet and all that are with me, blowe ye with trumpets also on euery side of the hoste, and say, For the Lord, and for Gideon.
19 Busa si Gedeon, ug ang usa ka gatus ka tawo nga iyang kauban ming-adto sa kinagawasang dapit sa campo sa sinugdan sa pagtukaw sa tungang gabii sa diha nga bag-o pa lamang nga nahaluna ang bantay: ug ilang gihuyop ang mga trompeta, ug gibuak ang mga tibod nga diha sa ilang mga kamot.
So Gideon and the hundreth men that were with him, came vnto the outside of the hoste, in the beginning of the middle watche, and they raised vp the watchmen, and they blew with their trumpets, and brake the pitchers that were in their handes.
20 Ug ang totolo ka panon minghuyop sa mga trompeta, ug mingbuak sa mga tibod, ug nagbibit sa mga sulo sa ilang mga kamot nga wala, ug ang mga trompeta sa ilang mga kamot nga too aron sa paghuyop niini; ug sila misinggit: Ang espada ni Jehova ug ni Gedeon.
And the three companies blew with trumpets and brake the pitchers, and helde the lampes in their left hands, and the trumpets in their right. handes to blowe withall: and they cryed, The sword of the Lord and of Gideon.
21 Ug sila nanindog ang tagsatagsa ka tawo sa iyang dapit libut sa campo; ug ang tanang panon nanalagan, ug sila naninggit, ug nakapalagiw kanila.
And they stoode, euery man in his place round about the hoste: and all the hoste ranne, and cryed, and fled.
22 Ug ilang gihuyop ang totolo ka gatus ka mga trompeta, ug si Jehova nagabutang sa tagsatagsa ka espada sa mga tawo batok sa iyang masigkauban ug batok sa tibook nga panon; ug ang panon mikalagiw hangtud sa Beth-sitta paingon sa Cerera, hangtud sa utlanan sa Abel-mehola tupad sa Tabbat.
And the three hundreth blewe with trumpets, and the Lord set euery mans sworde vpon his neighbour, and vpon all the hoste: so the hoste fled to Beth-hashittah in Zererah, and to the border of Abel-meholah, vnto Tabbath.
23 Ug ang mga tawo sa Israel nanag-usa pagtapok gikan sa Nephtali, ug gikan sa Aser, ug gikan sa tibook nga Manases, ug minglutos kang Madian.
Then the men of Israel being gathered together out of Naphtali, and out of Asher, and out of all Manasseh, pursued after the Midianites.
24 Ug si Gedeon nagpadala ug mga sinugo ngadto sa tibook nga dapit sa kabungtoran sa Ephraim, nga nagaingon: Lumugsong kamo batok sa Madian, ug kuhaa gikan kanila ang mga tubig hangtud sa Beth-bara, bisan pa sa Jordan. Busa ang tanang tawo sa Ephraim naghiusa pagtigum, ug nagkuha sa mga tubig hangtud sa Beth-bara, lakip ang Jordan.
And Gideon sent messengers vnto all mount Ephraim, saying, Come downe against the Midianites, and take before them the waters vnto Beth-barah, and Iorden. Then all the men of Ephraim gathered together and tooke the waters vnto Beth-barah, and Iorden.
25 Ug nabihag nila ang duha mga principe sa Madian, si Oreb ug si Zeeb; ug ilang gipatay si Oreb didto sa bato sa Oreb, ug si Zeeb ilang gipatay didto sa pulog-anan sa vino sa Zeeb, ug giapas ang Madian; ug ilang gidala ang mga ulo ni Oreb ug ni Zeeb ngadto kang Gedeon unahan sa Jordan.
And they tooke two princes of the Midianites, Oreb and Zeeb, and slew Oreb vpon the rocke Oreb, and slewe Zeeb at the winepresse of Zeeb, and pursued the Midianites, and brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon beyonde Iorden.
