Josue 22
1 Unya gitawag ni Josue ang mga Rubenhanon, ug ang mga Gadhanon, ug ang katunga-nga-banay ni Manases.
Then Joshua called together the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse,
2 Ug miingon kanila: Natuman ninyo ang tanang mga gisugo kaninyo ni Moises, ang alagad ni Jehova, ug kamo nagpatalinghug sa akong tingog sa tanan nga akong gisugo kaninyo:
and said to them, You have heard all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, and you have listened to my voice in all that he commanded you.
3 Wala ninyo biyai ang inyong mga igsoon niining daghang mga adlaw hangtud niining adlawa, apan nagtuman kamo sa gitugon sa sugo ni Jehova nga inyong Dios.
You have not deserted your brethren these many days: until this day you have kept the commandment of the Lord your God.
4 Ug karon si Jehova nga inyong Dios, naghatag ug pahulay sa inyong mga igsoon ingon sa iyang gisulti kanila: busa bumalik kamo ug umadto kamo sa inyong mga balong-balong ngadto sa yuta nga inyong napanag-iya, nga gihatag ni Moises, ang alagad ni Jehova, sa unahan sa Jordan.
And now the Lord our God has given our brethren rest, as he told them: now then return and depart to your homes, and to the land of your possession, which Moses gave you on the other side Jordan.
5 Magtamod lamang kamo pag-ayo sa pagbuhat sa sugo ug sa balaod, nga gisugo kaninyo ni Moises nga alagad ni Jehova, sa paghigugma kang Jehova nga inyong Dios, ug sa paglakaw sa tanan niyang mga dalan, ug sa pagbantay sa iyang mga sugo, ug sa pagpakig-ipon kaniya, ug sa pag-alagad kaniya sa bug-os ninyong kasingkasing ug sa bug-os ninyong kalag.
But take great heed to do the commands and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you to do; to love the Lord our God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commands, and to cleave to him, and serve him with all your mind, and with all your soul.
6 Busa si Josue nagpanalangin kanila, ug nagpalakaw kanila; ug nangadto sila sa ilang mga balong-balong.
And Joshua blessed them, and dismissed them; and they went to their homes.
7 Karon, si Moises mihatag ug usa ka panulondon didto sa Basan, sa usa sa katunga-nga-banay ni Manases; apan sa usang katunga-nga-banay, mihatag si Josue ug panulondon didto ipon sa ilang mga igsoon, unahan sa Jordan dapit sa kasadpan. Labut pa, sa gipalakat na sila ni Josue ngadto sa ilang mga balong-balong, iyang gipanalanginan sila,
And to [one] half the tribe of Manasse Moses gave a portion in the land of Basan, and to [the other] half Joshua gave a portion with his brethren on the other side of Jordan westward: and when Joshua sent them away to their homes, then he blessed them.
8 Ug misulti kanila, nga nagaingon: Pumauli kamo uban sa daghanang bahandi ngadto sa inyong mga balong-balong, uban ang daghan uyamut nga panon sa vaca, uban ang salapi, ug uban ang bulawan, ug uban ang tumbaga, ug uban ang puthaw, ug uban ang daghan uyamut nga saput; bahinbahina ninyo ang mga inagaw sa inyong mga kaaway alang sa inyong mga kaigsoonan.
And they departed with much wealth to their houses, and they divided the spoil of their enemies with their brethren; very much cattle, and silver, and gold, and iron, and much raiment.
9 Ug ang mga anak ni Ruben ug ang mga anak ni Gad, ug ang katunga-nga-banay ni Manases, namauli, ug namulag gikan sa mga anak sa Israel didto sa Silo, nga anaa sa yuta sa Canaan, aron sa pag-adto sa yuta sa Galaad, ngadto sa yuta nilang kaugalingon, diin kini mapanag-iya nila sumala sa sugo ni Jehova pinaagi kang Moises.
So the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse, departed from the children of Israel in Selo in the land of Chanaan, to go away into Galaad, into the land of their possession, which they inherited by the command of the Lord, by the hand of Moses.
10 Ug sa paghiadto nila sa dapit haduol sa Jordan nga maoy yuta sa Canaan, ang mga anak ni Ruben, ug ang mga anak ni Gad, ug ang katunga-nga-banay ni Manases, nanagtukod didto ug usa ka halaran haduol sa Jordan, usa ka dakung halaran nga pagatan-awon.
And they came to Galaad of Jordan, which is in the land of Chanaan: and the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse built there an altar by Jordan, a great altar to look at.
11 Ug ang mga anak sa Israel nakadungog nga giingon: Ania karon, ang mga anak ni Ruben, ug ang mga anak ni Gad, ug ang katunga-nga-banay ni Manases, nanagtukod ug usa ka halaran sa atubangan gayud sa yuta sa Canaan, sa dapit nga haduol sa Jordan, sa pikas nga sakup sa mga anak sa Israel.
And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse have built an altar at the borders of the land of Chanaan at Galaad of Jordan, on the opposite side to the children of Israel.
12 Ug sa pagpakabati sa mga anak sa Israel niini, ang tibook nga katilingban sa mga anak sa Israel nagtigum didto sa Silo aron sa pag-adto ug sa pagpakig-away batok kanila.
And all the children of Israel gathered together to Selo, so as to go up and fight against them.
13 Ug ang mga anak sa Israel nagpaadto kang Pinees, ang anak nga lalake ni Eleazar nga sacerdote, ngadto sa mga anak ni Ruben, ug sa mga anak ni Gad ug sa katunga-nga-banay ni Manases, didto sa Galaad.
And the children of Israel sent to the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and to the sons of the half tribe of Manasse into the land of Galaad, both Phinees the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest,
14 Ug kuyog kaniya ang napulo ka mga principe: usa ka principe sa balay sa usa ka amahan alang sa tagsatagsa ka mga banay sa Israel; ug sila, ang tagsatagsa kanila, pangulo sa mga balay sa mga amahan sa taliwala sa mga linibo sa Israel.
and ten of the chiefs with him; [there was] one chief of every household out of all the tribes of Israel; (the heads of families are the captains of thousands in Israel.)
15 Ug sila nangadto sa mga anak ni Ruben, ug sa mga anak ni Gad, ug sa katunga-nga-banay ni Manases, didto sa yuta sa Galaad, ug sila nakigsulti kanila, nga nagaingon:
And they came to the sons of Ruben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the half tribe of Manasse into the land of Galaad; and they spoke to them, saying,
16 Kini mao ang gipamulong sa tibook nga katilingban ni Jehova: Unsa nga kalapasan kining inyong gibuhat batok sa Dios sa Israel sa pagtalikod ninyo niining adlawa sa pagsunod kang Jehova, sa paagi nga nagtukod kamo alang kaninyo ug usa ka halaran aron sa pagsuki niining adlawa batok kang Jehova?
Thus says the whole congregation of the Lord, What [is] this transgression that you have transgressed before the God of Israel, to turn away today from the Lord, in that you have built for yourselves an altar, so that you should be apostates from the Lord?
17 Dili pa ba igo kanato ang sala ni Peor, nga bisan hangtud niining adlawa wala pa ngani kita makapanghinlo niana, bisan pa ang katilingban gipadad-an ug sakit ni Jehova?
Is the sin of Phogor too little for you, whereas we have not been cleansed from it until this day, though there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord?
18 Nga mingsuki gayud kamo niining adlawa sa pagsunod kang Jehova? ug mahitabo, nga kong kamo managsuki niining adlawa kang Jehova, ugma masuko siya sa tibook nga katilingban sa Israel.
And you have this day revolted from the Lord; and it shall come to pass if you revolt this day from the Lord, that to-morrow there shall be wrath upon all Israel.
19 Apan kong ang yuta nga inyong naangkon dili malinis, nan tumabok kamo ngadto sa yuta nga iya ni Jehova diin ang kang Jehova nga tabernaculo nagabarug, ug manag-iya kamo sa taliwala kanamo; apan ayaw pagsukol batok kang Jehova, ni magsukol kamo batok kanamo, sa pagbuhat sa usa ka halaran alang kaninyo, gawas sa halaran ni Jehova nga atong Dios.
And now if the land of your possession [be too] little, cross over to the land of the possession of the Lord, where the tabernacle of the Lord dwells, and receive you an inheritance among us; and do not become apostates from God, neither do you apostatize from the Lord, because of your having built an altar apart from the altar of the Lord our God.
20 Wala ba si Achan, ang anak nga lalake ni Zera makasala sa butang nga linaglag, ug ang tibook nga katilingban sa Israel mahiagum sa kasuko ni Jehova? Ug dili kay kana rang tawohana ang namatay sa iyang sala.
Behold! did not Achar the [son] of Zara commit a trespass [taking] of the accursed thing, and there was wrath on the whole congregation of Israel? and he himself died alone in his own sin.
21 Unya ang mga anak ni Ruben, ug ang mga anak ni Gad, ug ang katunga-nga-banay ni Manases mingtubag ug mingsulti sa mga pangulo sa mga linibo sa Israel:
And the sons of Ruben, and the sons of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse answered, and spoke to the captains of the thousands of Israel, saying,
22 Ang Usa nga Makagagahum, ang Dios, si Jehova, ang usa nga Makagagahum, ang Dios, si Jehova, siya nasayud; ug sa Israel siya masayud: kong kini tungod ba sa pagsuki, kun sa pagpakasala ba batok kang Jehova (dili mo ba kami luwason niining adlawa),
God [even] God is the Lord, and God [even] God himself knows, and Israel he shall know; if we have transgressed before the Lord by apostasy, let him not deliver us this day.
23 Nga nagtukod man kami alang kanamo ug usa ka halaran aron dili sa pagsunod namo kang Jehova; kun sa paghalad hinoon sa ibabaw niini sa halad-nga-sinunog, kun sa halad-nga-kalan-on, kun sa paghalad sa mga halad-sa-pakigdait, si Jehova lamang ang papangayoa niana;
And if we have built to ourselves an altar, so as to apostatize from the Lord our God, so as to offer upon it a sacrifice of whole burnt offerings, so as to offer upon it a sacrifice of peace-offering, —the Lord shall require it.
24 Ug kong wala namo buhata kini, uban ang maayong pagbantay ug tinguha, nga nagaingon: Sa panahon nga umalabut ang inyong mga anak magaingon sa among mga anak: Unsay labut ninyo kang Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel?
But we have done this for the sake of precaution [concerning this] thing, saying, Lest hereafter your sons should say to our sons, What have you to do with the Lord God of Israel?
25 Kay si Jehova naghimo sa Jordan nga usa ka utlanan sa taliwala kanamo ug kaninyo, kamo nga mga anak ni Ruben ug mga anak ni Gad; kamo walay bahin kang Jehova; busa ang inyong mga anak makapahunong kaha sa among mga anak sa pagkahadlok kang Jehova.
Whereas the Lord has set boundaries between us and you, even Jordan, and you have no portion in the Lord: so your sons shall alienate our sons, that they should not worship the Lord.
26 Busa, kami miingon: Mangandam kita karon sa pagtukod ug usa ka halaran dili alang sa halad-nga-sinunog, dili usab alang sa halad:
And we gave orders to do thus, to build this altar, not for burnt offerings, nor for meat-offerings;
27 Apan kini usa ka magapamatuod sa taliwala kanamo ug kaninyo ug sa taliwala sa atong mga kaliwatan nga sunod kanato nga kami makaalagad kang Jehova sa iyang atubangan uban ang among mga halad-nga-sinunog, ug ang among mga halad, ug ang among mga halad-sa-pakigdait; nga ang inyong mga anak dili makaingon sa among mga anak sa umalabut nga adlaw: Wala kamo ing bahin kang Jehova.
but that this may be a witness between you and us, and between our posterity after us, that we may do service to the Lord before him, with our burnt offerings and our meat-offerings and our peace-offerings: so your sons shall not say to our sons, hereafter, You have no portion in the Lord.
28 Busa, ming-ingon kami: Kana mahanabo, nga kong sila moingon kanamo kun sa among mga kaliwatan sa umalabut nga mga adlaw, nga kami mosulti: Tan-awa, ang sumbanan sa halaran ni Jehova nga gihimo sa among mga amahan, dili alang sa mga halad-nga-sinunog, ni alang sa paghalad; apan alang sa usa ka pagpamatuod sa taliwala kanamo ug kaninyo.
And we said, If ever it should come to pass that they should speak [so] to us, or to our posterity hereafter; then shall they say, Behold the likeness of the altar of the Lord, which our fathers made, not for the sake of burnt offerings, nor for the sake of meat-offerings, but it is a witness between you and us, and between our sons.
29 Ipahalayo kana kanamo nga kami mosukol batok kang Jehova, ug motalikod niining adlawa gikan sa pagsunod kang Jehova, sa pagtukod ug usa ka halaran alang sa halad-nga-sinunog, alang sa halad-nga-kalan-on, ug kun alang sa paghalad gawas sa halaran ni Jehova nga atong Dios nga anaa sa atubangan sa iyang tabernaculo.
Far be it from us therefore that we should turn away from the Lord this day so as to apostatize from the Lord, so as that we should build an altar for burnt offerings, and for peace-offerings, besides the altar of the Lord which is before his tabernacle.
30 Ug sa diha nga si Pinees, ang sacerdote, ug ang mga principe sa katilingban, bisan ang mga pangulo sa linibo sa Israel, nga uban kaniya, nakadungog sa mga pulong nga gisulti sa mga anak ni Ruben, ug sa mga anak ni Gad, ug sa mga anak ni Manases, kini nakapahimuot kanila pag-ayo.
And Phinees the priest and all the chiefs of the congregation of Israel who were with him heard the words which the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse spoke; and it pleased them.
31 Ug si Pinees, ang anak nga lalake ni Eleazar nga sacerdote, misulti sa mga anak ni Ruben, ug sa mga anak ni Gad, ug sa mga anak ni Manases: Niining adlawa nahibalo kita nga si Jehova ania sa taliwala nato tungod kay wala kamo magabuhat niining salaa batok kang Jehova: karon, giluwas ninyo ang mga anak sa Israel gikan sa mga kamot ni Jehova.
And Phinees the priest said to the sons of Ruben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the half of the tribe of Manasse, To-day we know that the Lord [is] with us, because you have not trespassed grievously against the Lord, and because you have delivered the children of Israel out of the hand of the Lord.
32 Ug si Pineas, ang anak nga lalake ni Eleazar nga sacerdote, ug ang mga principe namauli gikan sa mga anak ni Ruben, ug gikan sa mga anak ni Gad, gikan sa yuta sa Galaad, ngadto sa yuta sa Canaan, sa mga anak sa Israel, ug gisuginlan sila sa pag-usab.
So Phinees the priest and the princes departed from the children of Ruben, and from the children of Gad, and from the half tribe of Manasse out of Galaad into the land of Chanaan to the children of Israel; and reported the words to them.
33 Ug kining butanga nakalipay sa mga anak sa Israel; ug ang mga anak sa Israel nanagdayeg sa Dios, ug wala na mosulti mahitungod sa pagpaadto batok kanila sa pagpakig-away, sa paglaglag sa yuta nga gipuy-an sa mga anak ni Ruben ug sa mga anak ni Gad.
And it pleased the children of Israel; and they spoke to the children of Israel, and blessed the God of the children of Israel, and told them to go up no more to war against the others to destroy the land of the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse: so they lived upon it.
34 Ug ang mga anak ni Ruben ug ang mga anak ni Gad naghingalan sa halaran nga Ed: kay sila namulong: Kini usa ka saksi sa taliwala nato nga si Jehova maoy Dios.
And Joshua gave a name to the altar of the children of Ruben, and the children of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasse; and said, It is a testimony in the midst of them, that the Lord is their God.
