Job 36

1 Si Eliu usab mipadayon, ug miingon:

And Elius further continued, and said,

2 Pasagdi ako una makadiyut, ug akong ipakita kanimo; Kay ania pay igsusulti nako tungod sa Dios.

Wait for me yet a little while, that I may teach thee: for there is yet speech in me.

3 Kuhaon ko ang akong kahibalo gikan sa halayo, Ug ang pagkamatarung ipahinungod ko sa akong Magbubuhat.

Having fetched my knowledge from afar, and according to my works,

4 Kay sa pagkamatuod ang akong mga pulong dili bakak: Kadto siya nga hingpit sa kahibalo anaa uban kanimo.

I will speak just things truly, and thou shalt not unjustly receive unjust words.

5 Ania karon, ang Dios makagagahum man, ug walay bisan kinsa nga gitamay niya: Siya makusganon sa kalig-on sa salabutan.

But know that the Lord will not cast off an innocent man: being mighty in strength of wisdom,

6 Siya dili magbantay sa kinabuhi sa tawong dautan, Apan magahatag sa mga sinakit sa ilang katungod.

he will not by any means save alive the ungodly: and he will grant the judgment of the poor.

7 Dili niya kuhaon ang iyang mga mata gikan sa mga matarung: Apan uban sa mga hari sa ibabaw sa trono Iyang ipahaluna sila sa walay katapusan, ug sila ginatuboy.

He will not turn away his eyes from the righteous, but [they shall be] with kings on the throne: and he will establish them in triumph, and they shall be exalted.

8 Ug kong sila ginagapus sa mga talikala, Ug hidakpan sa mga higot sa kagul-anan;

But they that are bound in fetters shall be holden in cords of poverty.

9 Nan nagapakita siya kanila sa ilang mga buhat, Ug sa ilang mga kalapasan, nga mapahitas-on ang ilang pamatasan.

And he shall recount to them their works, and their transgressions, for such will act with violence.

10 Iya usab nga buksan ang ilang igdulungog sa mga patolon-an, Ug magasugo nga bumalik sila gikan sa kasal-anan.

But he will hearken to the righteous: and he has said that they shall turn from unrighteousness.

11 Kong sila mamati ug manag-alagad kaniya, Ang ilang mga adlaw magamit nila diha sa kaadunahan, Ug ang ilang katuigan diha sa kalipayan.

If they should hear and serve [him], they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in honour.

12 Apan kong sila dili mamati, sila pagalaglagon sa pinuti, Ug sila mangamatay nga walay kaalam.

But he preserves not the ungodly; because they are not willing to know the Lord, and because when reproved they were disobedient.

13 Apan kadto sila nga walay Dios diha sa ilang kasingkasing nanagtigum ug kaligutgut; Sila dili mangayo ug pakitabang sa diha nga siya magagapus kanila.

And the hypocrites in heart will array wrath [against themselves]; they will not cry, because he has bound them.

14 Sila sa kabatan-on mangamatay, Ug ang ilang kinabuhi mangawagtang sa taliwala sa mga mahugaw.

Therefore let their soul die in youth, and their life be wounded by messengers [of death].

15 Siya nagaluwas sa mga sinakit pinaagi sa ilang kasakit, Siya nagabukas sa ilang igdulungog pinaagi sa kagul-anan.

Because they afflicted the weak and helpless: and he will vindicate the judgment of the meek.

16 Oo, siya molukmay unta kanimo gikan sa kaalaut Ngadto sa usa ka dapit nga halapad diin walay kasigpit; Ug kadtong ibutang sa imong lamesa daskan unta sa katambok.

And he has also enticed thee out of the mouth of the enemy:

17 Apan nabusog ka sa paghukom sa mga dautan, Ang paghukom ug ang justicia magagakud kanimo.

[there is] a deep gulf [and] a rushing stream beneath it, and thy table came down full of fatness. Judgment shall not fail from the righteous;

18 Kay ayaw itugot nga ang kasuko dili magaagda kanimo batok sa mga castigo; Ni magpahaylo ka sa gidak-on sa lukat.

but there shall be wrath upon the ungodly, by reason of the ungodliness of the bribes which they received for iniquities.

19 Makatumbas ba ang imong pagsinggit, aron ikaw dili ikabutang sa kaalaut, Kun ang tanang gahum sa imong kusog?

Let not [thy] mind willingly turn thee aside from the petition of the feeble that are in distress.

20 Ayaw pagtinguhaa ang kagabhion, Sa diha nga ang mga katawohan ginakuha diha sa ilang pinuy-anan.

And draw not forth all the mighty [men] by night, so that the people should go up instead of them.

21 Pagbantay, ayaw pagtagda ang kadautan: Sanglit kini imo man nga gipili kay sa kagul-anan.

But take heed lest thou do that which is wrong: for of this thou has made choice because of poverty.

22 Ania karon, gibuhat sa Dios sa pagkahataas uyamut tungod sa iyang kagahum: Kinsa ba ang magtutudlo nga sama kaniya?

Behold, the Mighty One shall prevail by his strength: for who is powerful as he is?

23 Kinsa ba ang nagsugo kaniya sa iyang paagi? Kun kinsa ba ang nagaingon: Kadautan ang imong gibuhat?

And who is he that examines his works? or who can say, he has wrought injustice?

24 Handuma nga imong pagapadakuon ang iyang buhat, Nga mao ang ginaawit sa katawohan.

Remember that his works are great [beyond] those which men have attempted.

25 Ang tanang katawohan nanaglantaw niana; Ang tawo nagatan-aw niana sa halayo kaayo.

Every man has seen in himself, how many mortals are wounded.

26 Ania karon, ang Dios daku man, ug kita wala makaila kaniya; Ang gidaghanon sa iyang mga tuig dili maisip.

Behold, the Mighty One is great, and we shall not know [him]: the number of his years is even infinite.

27 Kay iyang giisa sa itaas ang mga tulo sa tubig, Nga mahimong tinulo sa ulan gikan sa inalisngaw,

And the drops of rain are numbered by him, and shall be poured out in rain to form a cloud.

28 Nga ginabubo gikan sa mga langit, Ug ginapatulo sa ibabaw sa tawo sa madagayaon.

The ancient [heavens] shall flow, and the clouds overshadow innumerable mortals: he has fixed a time to cattle, and they know the order of rest. [Yet] by all these things thy understanding is not astonished, neither is thy mind disturbed in [thy] body.

29 Oo, anaa bay bisan kinsa nga makatugkad kong giunsa pagbuklad ang mga panganod, Ang pagpadalugdug sa iyang mga tabil?

And though one should understand the outspreadings of the clouds, [or] the measure of his tabernacle;

30 Ania karon, iyang gipadan-ag ang iyang suga sa paglibut kaniya; Ug iyang gitabonan ang kinahiladman sa dagat.

behold he will stretch his bow against him, and he covers the bottom of the sea.

31 Kay pinaagi niini siya nagahukom sa mga katawohan; Ug nagahatag ug makaon sa tinagdaghan.

For by them he will judge the nations: he will give food to him that has strength.

32 Ang kilat maoy ginatabon sa iyang kamot, Ug nagsugo niana nga tamaon gayud ang ilig-on.

He has hidden the light in [his] hands, and given charge concerning it to the interposing [cloud].

33 Ang dinahunog niana nagasaysay mahitungod kaniya, Ang kahayupan usab mahitungod sa umaabut nga unos.

The Lord will declare concerning this [to] his friend: [but there is] a portion also for unrighteousness.
