Jeremias 8

1 Niadtong panahona, nagaingon si Jehova, pagadad-on nila ang mga bukog sa mga hari sa Juda, ug ang mga bukog sa iyang mga principe, ug ang mga bukog sa mga sacerdote, ug ang mga bukog sa mga manalagna, ug ang mga bukog sa mga pumoluyo sa Jerusalem gikan sa ilang lubnganan;

At that time, sayeth the Lord, they shall bring out the bones of the Kings of Iudah, and the bones of their princes, and the bones of the Priests and the bones of the Prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Ierusalem out of their graues.

2 Ug ilang ipangatag sila sa atubangan sa adlaw, ug sa bulan, ug sa tanang panon sa langit nga ilang gihigugma, ug ilang gialagaran, ug ilang gisunod, ug ilang gipangita, ug ilang giampoan: dili sila pagatigumon, ni igalubong; sila mahimong kinalibang sa ibabaw sa nawong sa yuta.

And they shall spread them before the sunne and the moone, and all the host of heauen, whom they haue loued, and whome they haue serued, and whome they haue followed, and whome they haue sought, and whome they haue worshipped: they shall not be gathered nor be buried, but shall be as doung vpon the earth.

3 Ug labi kay sa kinabuhi ang kamatayon maoy pagapilion sa tanang mga nanghibilin niining dautang panimalay, nga nanghibilin sa tanang mga dapit diin didto giabog ko sila, nagaingon si Jehova sa mga panon.

And death shall bee desired rather then life of all the residue that remaineth of this wicked familie, which remaine in all the places where I haue scattered them, sayeth the Lord of hostes.

4 Labut pa, umingon ikaw kanila: Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Mangapukan ba ang mga tawo, ug dili managpamangon pag-usab? motalikod ba ang usa, ug dili mobalik?

Thou shalt say vnto them also, Thus sayeth the Lord, Shall they fall and not arise? shall he turne away and not turne againe?

5 Nan ngano man nga kining katawohan sa Jerusalem nanghidalin-as sa pagkasayup nga walay paghunong? sila minghunit sa limbong, ug nanagdumili sa pagbalik.

Wherefore is this people of Ierusalem turned backe by a perpetuall rebellion? they gaue themselues to deceit, and would not returne.

6 Ako nagpatalinghug ug nakadungog, apan sila wala managpamulong sa matul-id: walay tawo nga naghinulsol sa iyang pagkadautan, sa pag-ingon: Unsa bay akong nabuhat? ang tagsatagsa nagapadayon sa iyang ginalaktan, ingon sa kabayo nga midasmag sa gubat.

I hearkened and heard, but none spake aright: no man repented him of his wickednesse, saying, What haue I done? euery one turned to their race, as the horse rusheth into the battell.

7 Oo, ang talabong sa mga langit nahibalo sa iyang mga tinudlong panahon; ug ang salampati, ug ang sayaw ug ang lapay nanagbantay sa panahon sa ilang pag-abut: apan ang akong katawohan wala manghibalo sa Kasugoan ni Jehova.

Euen the storke in the aire knoweth her appointed times, and the turtle and the crane and the swallowe obserue the time of their comming, but my people knoweth not the iudgement of the Lord.

8 Unsaon ninyo pag-ingon: Kami mga manggialamon, ug ang Kasugoan ni Jehova ania kanamo? Apan ania karon, ang bakakon nga dagang sa mga escriba nanagbuhat ug bakak.

Howe doe yee say, Wee are wise, and the Lawe of the Lord is with vs? Loe, certeinly in vaine made hee it, the penne of the scribes is in vaine.

9 Ang mga tawong manggialamon gipakaulawan, sila napunawan ug hingdakpan: ania karon, sila nanagsalikway sa pulong ni Jehova; ug unsang kinaiyaha sa kaalam nga anaa kanila?

The wise men are ashamed: they are afraid and taken. loe, they haue reiected the word of the Lord, and what wisdome is in them?

10 Busa ihatag ko sa lain ang ilang mga asawa, ug ang ilang mga uma kanila nga manag-iya niini: kay ang tagsatagsa gikan sa labing diyutay bisan ngadto sa labing dagku gitugyan na sa kailibgon; gikan sa manalagna bisan ngadto sa sacerdote, ang tagsatagsa nagalimbong.

Therefore will I giue their wiues vnto others, and their fieldes to them that shall possesse them: for euery one from the least euen vnto the greatest is giuen to couetousnesse, and from the Prophet euen vnto the Priest, euery one dealeth falsely.

11 Ug ilang giayo ug diyutay ang samad sa anak nga babaye sa akong katawohan, nga nagaingon: Pakigdait, pakigdait; sa diha nga walay pakigdait.

For they haue healed the hurt of the daughter of my people with sweete woordes, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.

12 Nangaulaw ba sila sa diha nga nagbuhat sila ug dulumtanan? wala, sila wala gayud mangaulaw, ni mangahilaw ang ilang nawong: busa sila mangapukan uban niadtong nangapukan; sa panahon sa pagdu-aw kanila, sila igahulog ngadto sa yuta, nagaingon si Jehova.

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not ashamed, neither coulde they haue any shame: therefore shall they fall among the slaine: when I shall visite them, they shall be cast downe, sayeth the Lord.

13 Pagaut-uton ko gayud sila, nagaingon si Jehova: wala na unyay mga bunga ang kaparrasan, ni igos ibabaw sa higuerra, ug ang dahon malawos; ug ang mga butang nga gihatag ko kanila mangahanaw gikan kanila.

I wil surely consume them, sayth the Lord: there shalbe no grapes on the vine, nor figges on the figtree, and the leafe shall fade, and the things that I haue giuen them, shall depart from them.

14 Nganong nanaglingkod kita sa hilum? managtigum kamo, ug manulod kita ngadto sa mga kinutaang ciudad, ug managhilum kita didto: kay si Jehova nga atong Dios nagpahilum kanato, ug naghatag kanato ug tubig nga apdo aron pagaimnun tungod kay kita nakasala batok kang Jehova.

Why doe we stay? assemble your selues, and let vs enter into the strong cities, and let vs be quiet there: for the Lord our God hath put vs to silence and giuen vs water with gall to drinke, because we haue sinned against the Lord.

15 Kita nangita ug pakigdait, apan walay kaayohan nga miabut; ug sa usa ka panahon nangita sa pag-kaayo, ug, ania karon, ang kaguol!

We looked for peace, but no good came, and for a time of health, and behold troubles.

16 Ang kinusmo sa iyang mga kabayo nadungog gikan sa Dan: ang tibook nga yuta mikurog sa bahihi sa iyang mga makusganon; kay sila mingdangat ug minglamoy sa yuta ug sa tanan nga anaa niana; ang ciudad ug kadtong nanagpuyo sa sulod niana.

The neying of his horses was heard from Dan, the whole lande trembled at the noyse of the neying of his strong horses: for they are come, and haue deuoured the land with all that is in it, the citie, and those that dwell therein.

17 Kay, ania karon, ako magapadala ug mga bitin, mga udto-udto sa taliwala ninyo, nga dili malumay sa sumpa, ug sila mopaak kaninyo, nagaingon si Jehova.

For beholde, I will sende serpents, and cockatrices among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall sting you, sayth the Lord.

18 Oh nga malipay ko unta ang akong kaugalingon gikan sa kasubo! ang akong kasingkasing maluya sa sulod nako.

I would haue comforted my selfe against sorowe, but mine heart is heauie in me.

19 Ania karon, ang tingog sa pagtu-aw sa anak nga babaye sa akong katawohan gikan sa yuta nga halayo: Wala ba si Jehova diha sa Sion? wala ba dinhi ang iyang hari? Nganong ilang gihagit ako sa kasuko uban sa ilang mga larawan nga linilok, ug sa ilang mga kakawangan nga lumalangyaw?

Behold, the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people for feare of them of a farre countrey, Is not the Lord in Zion? is not her king in her? Why haue they prouoked mee to anger with their grauen images, and with the vanities of a strange god?

20 Ang pagpangani miagi na, ug ang ting-init natapus na, ug kita wala mangaluwas.

The haruest is past, the sommer is ended, and we are not holpen.

21 Tungod sa samad sa anak nga babaye sa akong katawohan, ako nasamad; ako nagbalata; giabut ako sa kalisang.

I am sore vexed for the hurt of ye daughter of my people: I am heauie, and astonishment hath taken me.

22 Wala bay balsamo sa Galaad? wala bay mananambal didto? nan ngano man nga wala hiulii sa maayong panglawas ang anak nga babaye sa akong katawohan?

Is there no balme at Gilead? is there no Physition there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recouered.
