Jeremias 7
1 Ang pulong nga miabut kang Jeremias gikan kang Jehova, nagaingon:
The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah, saying:
2 Tindog sa ganghaan sa balay ni Jehova, ug imantala didto kining pulonga; ug umingon ka: Pamati sa pulong ni Jehova, ngatanan kamo sa Juda nga mosulod niining ganghaana aron sa pagsimba kang Jehova.
Stand in the gate of the house of Jehovah, and proclaim these words, and say: —Hear the word of Jehovah, all ye of Judah, Who enter in at these gates to worship Jehovah!
3 Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova sa mga panon, ang Dios sa Israel: Usba ang inyong mga kagawian, ug ang inyong mga binuhatan, ug kamo papuy-on ko niining dapita.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Amend your ways and your doings, And I will suffer you to dwell in this place!
4 Ayaw kamo pagsalig sa bakakong mga pulong, nga nagaingon: Ang templo ni Jehova, ang templo ni Jehova, mao kini ang templo ni Jehova.
Trust ye not in lying words, when they say, “The temple of Jehovah, the temple of Jehovah, The temple of Jehovah are these.”
5 Kay kong magausab kamo sa hingpit gayud sa inyong kagawian, ug sa inyong binuhatan; kong magabuhat kamo ug justicia nga hingpit gayud sa tunga sa tawo ug sa iyang isigkatawo;
Yet if ye will thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, And dispense justice between man and man,
6 Kong kamo dili magdaugdaug sa dumuloong, sa mga ilo, ug sa balo nga babaye, ug dili magpaagas ug dugo sa inocente niining dapita, ni magsunod sa laing mga dios alang sa inyong kaugalingong kadautan:
If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, And shed not innocent blood in this place, And go not after other gods to your own hurt,
7 Nan papuy-an ko kamo niining dapita, sa yuta nga gihatag ko sa inyong mga amahan, gikan sa kakaraanan bisan hangtud sa walay katapusan.
Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, In the land which I gave to your fathers, For ever and ever.
8 Ania karon, kamo nanagsalig sa bakakong mga pulong nga walay kapuslanan.
Behold, ye trust in lying words without profit.
9 Mangawat ba kamo, mopatay, ug manapaw, ug manumpa sa bakak, ug magasunog sa incienso kang Baal, ug magasunod sa laing mga dios nga wala ninyo hiilhi,
Ye steal, and murder, and commit adultery, And swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, And go after strange gods, which ye know not,
10 Ug unya moanhi ug motindog sa akong atubangan, sulod niining balaya, nga ginatawag sa akong ngalan, ug magaingon: Kita giluwas na; aron kamo managbuhat niining tanan nga mga dulumtanan?
And then come and stand before me in this house, Which is called by my name, And say, “We are delivered!” Whilst ye practise all these abominations.
11 Kining balaya, nga gitawag sa akong ngalan, nahimo bang usa ka lungib sa mga tulisan sa inyong mga mata? Ania karon, ako bisan pa ako, nakakita niini, nagaingon si Jehova.
Is this house, which is called by my name, Become a den for robbers in your eyes? Behold, I myself have seen it, saith Jehovah.
12 Apan lumakaw kamo karon ngadto sa akong dapit nga atua sa Silo, diin akong giuna pagpahamutang ang akong ngalan, ug tan-awa kong unsay gibuhat ko niana tungod sa pagkadautan sa akong katawohan nga Israel.
But go now to my place, which was in Shiloh, Where I caused my name to dwell at the first, And see what I have done to it On account of the wickedness of my people Israel.
13 Ug karon tungod kay inyong gibuhat kining tanang mga buhata, nagaingon si Jehova, ug ako nagsulti kaninyo, mibangon pagsayo, ug namulong, apan kamo wala makadungog; ug nagtawag ako kaninyo, apan kamo wala motubag:
And now because ye have done all these works, saith Jehovah, And I have spoken to you, rising early and speaking, But ye hearkened not, And I have called to you, But ye answered not,
14 Busa buhaton ko sa balay nga gitawag sa akong ngalan, nga inyong gilauman, ug sa dapit nga gihatag ko kaninyo, ug sa inyong mga amahan, ang ingon sa gibuhat ko sa Silo.
Therefore will I do to the house which is called by my name, In which ye place your confidence, And to the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, As I have done to Shiloh.
15 Ug akong isalikway kamo gikan sa akong pagtan-aw ingon sa pagsalikway ko sa tanan ninyong mga kaigsoonan, bisan ang tibook nga kaliwat ni Ephraim.
I will cast you out from my presence, As I have cast out all your brethren, The whole race of Ephraim.
16 Busa ikaw ayaw pag-ampo alang niini nga katawohan, ni magpatugbaw ka sa imong pagtu-aw ni mag-ampo alang kanila, ni magpakilooy ka kanako alang kanila: kay ako dili magpatalinghug kanimo.
And as for thee, pray not for this people, Nor lift up a cry or a prayer for them, Nor make intercession to me for them; For I will not hear thee.
17 Wala ba ikaw makakita sa ilang gibuhat sa mga ciudad sa Juda ug didto sa kadalanan sa Jerusalem?
Seest thou not what they do In the cities of Judah, and the streets of Jerusalem?
18 Ang mga bata nangahoy, ug ang mga amahan nanaghaling ug kalayo, ug ang mga babaye nanagmasa sa lutoon nga tinapay, aron sa pagbuhat ug tinapay alang sa reina sa langit, ug sa pagbubo sa halad-nga-ilimnon alang sa lain nga mga dios, aron ako hagiton nila sa pagpakasuko.
The sons gather the wood, And the fathers kindle the fire, And the women knead dough, To make cakes for the queen of heaven, And to pour out libations to strange gods, That they may vex me.
19 Nakahagit ba sila kanako sa pagpakasuko? nagaingon si Jehova: wala ba sila magahagit sa ilang kaugalingon, ngadto sa kalibug sa ilang kaugalingong mga nawong?
But do they vex me, saith Jehovah? Do they not rather vex themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?
20 Busa mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova nga Ginoo: Ania karon, ang akong kasuko ug ang akong kaligutgut, ibubo niining dapita, ibabaw sa tawo, ug ibabaw sa mananap, ug ibabaw sa kakahoyan sa uma, ug ibabaw sa mga bunga sa yuta; ug kini mangasunog, ug diii mapalong.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold my anger and my fury shall be poured out on this place, Upon man and upon beast; Upon the trees of the field, And upon the fruit of the ground; It shall burn and not be quenched.
21 Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova sa mga panon, ang Dios sa Israel: Idugang ang inyong mga halad-nga-sinunog sa inyong mga halad, ug kumaon kamo ug unod.
Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Add your burnt-offerings to your sacrifices, And eat ye the flesh.
22 Kay ako wala magsulti sa inyong mga amahan, ni magsugo kanila sa adlaw nga gidala ko sila gikan sa Egipto, mahatungod sa mga halad-nga-sinunog kun mga halad:
For I spake not to your fathers, nor commanded them Concerning burnt-offerings and sacrifices, At the time when I brought them out of the land of Egypt;
23 Apan kining butanga gisugo ko kanila, nga nagaingon: Patalinghugi ang akong tingog, ug ako mahimong inyong dios, ug kamo mahimong akong katawohan, ug managlakaw kamo sa tanang mga dalan nga gisugo ko kaninyo, aron kamo magamalipayon.
But this command gave I to them: “Hearken,” said I, “to my voice, And I will be your God, And ye shall be my people. And walk ye in all the ways which I command you, That it may go well with you.”
24 Apan sila wala managpatalinghug, ni managpakiling sa ilang mga igdulungug, kondili nanaglakaw sa ilang kaugalingong mga tambag ug sa kagahi sa dautan nilang kasingkasing, ug mingsibog, ug wala mopadayon.
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, But walked in the devices and obstinacy of their evil heart, Turning their backs and not their faces toward me.
25 Sukad sa paggula sa inyong mga amahan gikan sa yuta sa Egipto hangtud niining adlawa, akong gipadala kaninyo ang tanan ko nga mga sulogoon, ang mga manalagna, sa adlaw-adlaw mingmata pagsayo, ug nagpadala kanila:
From the day when your fathers came forth from the land of Egypt, Even to this day, I have also sent to you all my servants, the prophets, Daily rising early and sending.
26 Bisan pa niana, sila wala manag-patalinghug kanako, ni managpakiling sa ilang mga igdulungog, apan nanagpatikig sa ilang liog: sila nanagbuhat ug labi pang dautan kay sa ilang mga amahan.
But they have not hearkened to me, Nor have they inclined their ear; But they have hardened their neck, And acted more wickedly than their fathers.
27 Ug isulti mo kanila kining tanan nga mga pulong; apan sila dili managpatalinghug kanimo: ikaw motawag usab kanila; apan sila dili motubag kanimo.
And when thou shalt speak all these things to them, They will not hearken to thee; And when thou shalt call to them, They will make thee no answer.
28 Ug isulti mo kanila: Kini mao ang nasud nga wala mamati sa tingog ni Jehova nga ilang Dios, ni modawat ug pagpahamangno: ang kamatuoran nawagtang, ug giputol gikan sa ilang baba.
Therefore shalt thou say to them, This is the nation that hearkeneth not to the voice of Jehovah their God, And taketh no correction; Truth hath failed, and is cut off from their mouth.
29 Putla ang imong buhok, Oh Jerusalem, ug isalibay kini ug magminatay ka didto sa mga walay sulod nga kahitas-an; kay si Jehova misalikway ug mibiya sa kaliwatan sa iyang kaligutgut.
Cut off thy locks, O Jerusalem, and cast them away! Set up a lamentation upon the high place! For Jehovah hath rejected and forsaken the children Against which his wrath hath been kindled.
30 Kay ang mga anak sa Juda na kabuhat ug dautan sa atubangan sa akong pagtan-aw, nagaingon si Jehova: sila nanagpatindog sa ilang mga dulumtanan sa balay nga ginganlan sa akong ngalan, aron sa paghugaw niini.
For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith Jehovah, They have set their abominations in the house Which is called by my name, to pollute it.
31 Ug ilang gitukod ang hatag-as nga mga dapit sa Topet nga atua sa walog sa anak nga lalake ni Hinom, aron sa pagsunog diha sa kalayo sa ilang mga anak nga lalake ug sa ilang mga anak nga babaye; nga wala nako isugo kanila, ni misantop kana sa akong hunahuna.
They have built the high places of Tophet, Which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, To burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, Which I commanded not, Which even came not into my mind.
32 Busa, ania karon, ang mga adlaw ania na, nagaingon si Jehova, nga kini dili na pagatawgon pag-usab nga Topet, ni Ang walog sa anak nga lalake ni Hinom, kondili Ang walog sa Ihawan: kay ilang igalubong didto sa Topet ang mga minatay, hangtud nga wala nay dapit nga pagalubngan.
Therefore behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, That it shall no more be called Tophet, Or the valley of the son of Hinnom, But the Valley of Slaughter; For they shall bury in Tophet till there be no room left.
33 Ug ang mga minatay niini nga katawohan mahimong kalan-on sa mga langgam sa kalangitan, ug sa mga mananap sa yuta; ug walay makapahadlok kanila.
And the dead bodies of this people shall be for meat To the birds of the air and to the beasts of the earth; And none shall scare them away.
34 Unya akong pagapahilumon gikan sa mga ciudad sa Juda ug sa kadalanan sa Jerusalem, ang tingog sa hudyaka, ug tingog sa kalipay, ang tingog sa pamanhonon ug ang tingog sa pangasaw-onon; kay ang yuta mahimong usa ka awa-aw.
And I will cause to cease from the cities of Judah, And from the streets of Jerusalem, The voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, The voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; For the land shall be desolate.
