Jeremias 46
1 Ang pulong ni Jehova nga midangat kang Jeremias nga manalagna mahitungod sa mga nasud.
The word of the Lord which came to Jeremiah the prophet against the nations:
2 Mahitungod sa Egipto: mahitungod sa kasundalohan ni Faraon Nechao nga hari sa Egipto, nga diha sa daplin sa suba nga Eufrates sa Carchemis, nga gisamaran ni Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia sa ikaupat ka tuig ni Joacim ang anak nga lalake ni Josias, nga hari sa Juda.
Concerning Egypt, against the army of Pharaoh-necho the king of Egypt, which was [posted] by the river Euphrates in Karkemish, which Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon smote in the fourth year of Jehoyakim the son of Josiah the king of Judah.
3 Andamon ninyo ang kalasag ug taming, ug umasdang kamo aron sa pagpakiggubat.
Make ye ready shield and buckler, and draw near to the battle.
4 Siyahi ang mga kabayo, ug kumabayo kamo, kamo nga mga magkakabayo, ug tumindog kamo uban ang inyong mga salokot nga acero; baira ang mga bangkaw, ug isul-ob ang mga kotamaya.
Harness the horses, and mount, ye horsemen, and stand forth with helmets: sharpen the spears, and put on the coats of mail.
5 Ngano man nga nakita ko kini? sila nangalisang ug mingbalik; ug ang ilang mga makusganon mingpadaug, ug mingdalagan sa madali, ug sa walay lingi-lingi: ang kahadlok maoy nagalibut kanila, nagaingon si Jehova.
Wherefore have I seen them dismayed, moving backward? while their mighty ones are beaten down, and seek safety in flight, and look not back? There is terror round about, saith the Lord.
6 Ayaw pagpakalagiwa ang mga matulin nga modalagan, ni pagawasa ang makusganong tawo; sila nanghipangdol ug nangatumba didto sa amihanan daplin sa suba sa Eufrates.
The swift cannot flee away, nor can the mighty man escape: toward the north by the shore of the river Euphrates do they stumble and fall.
7 Kinsa ba kini nga mitubo sama sa suba sa Nilo, kansang katubigan nanagsapo-sapo ingon sa kasubaan?
Who is this that cometh up like a stream, whose waters are upheaved like the rivers?
8 Ang Egipto mitubo ingon sa suba sa Nilo, ug ang iyang katubigan nanagsapo-sapo ingon sa kasubaan; ug siya nagaingon: Ako mobangon, ug motabon sa yuta; akong laglagon ang mga ciudad ug ang mga pumoluyo niini.
Egypt cometh up like a stream, and like the rivers are the waters upheaved; and he saith, I will go up, I will cover the land; I will destroy the city and those that dwell therein.
9 Tumungas kamo, mga kabayo; ug pangasuko kamo, mga carro sa gubat; ug paasdanga ang kusganong mga tawo: ang mga tawo sa Cus ug sa Phut nga nanagkupot sa kalasag; ug ang mga tawo sa Lut nga nanagkupot ug nanagbusog sa pana.
Come up, ye horses; and rush along wildly, ye chariots; and let the mighty men come forth: Cush and Put, that grasp the shield, and the Ludim, that grasp and bend the bow.
10 Kay kadtong adlawa mao ang adlaw sa Ginoo, ni Jehova sa mga panon, ang usa ka adlaw sa pagpanimalus, aron siya makapanimalus sa iyang mga kabatok: ug ang espada molamoy ug mapatagbaw, ug moinum hangtud sa iyang pagkahubog sa ilang dugo; kay ang Ginoo, si Jehova sa mga panon adunay paghalad sa yuta sa amihanan daplin sa suba sa Eufrates.
And this same day is for the Lord, the Eternal of hosts, a day of vengeance, to be avenged on his adversaries; that the sword may devour, and may be satiated and made drunken with their blood; for there is a sacrifice for the Lord the Eternal of hosts in the north country by the river Euphrates.
11 Tumungas ka ngadto sa Galaad ug pagkuha ug balsamo, Oh ulay nga anak nga babaye sa Egipto: kawang lamang ang paggamit mo sa daghang mga tambal; kay walay pagkaayo alang kanimo.
Go up into Gil'ad, and fetch balm, O virgin, daughter of Egypt: in vain usest thou many remedies; there is no recovery for thee.
12 Ang mga nasud nakadungog sa imong kaulawan, ug ang imong pagtiyabaw nakapuno sa yuta: kay ang makusganong tawo nahapangdol batok sa makusganon, ug sila nangapukan sa pagdungan.
Nations have heard of thy shame, and thy cry of anguish hath filled the earth; for the mighty man over the mighty have they stumbled, together are both of them fallen.
13 Ang pulong nga gisulti ni Jehova kang Jeremias nga manalagna, mahitungod sa pag-anhi ug sa pagdam-ag ni Nabucodonosor hari sa Babilonia batok sa yuta sa Egipto.
The word which the Lord spoke to Jeremiah the prophet, concerning the coming of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, to smite the land of Egypt.
14 Ipahayag ninyo sa Egipto, ug imantala sa Migdol, ug imantala sa Memphis ug sa Tapnes; umingon kamo: Tindog, ug mag-andam ka; kay ang espada milamoy nga nagalibut kanimo.
Announce ye in Egypt, and publish in Migdol, and publish in Noph and in Thachpanches: say ye, Stand fast, and prepare thyself; for the sword devoureth round about thee.
15 Ngano ba nga ang imong mga maisug nga tawo gibanlas man? wala sila makatindog, tungod kay si Jehova naghingilin kanila.
Why are thy valiant men swept away? not one hath stood, because the Lord did drive him off.
16 Iyang gipukan ang daghanan, oo, sila nangapukan ibabaw sa usa ug usa: ug sila ming-ingon: Tindog, ug mangadto kita sa pag-usab sa atong kaugalingon katawohan, ug sa yuta natong natawohan, gikans a madaugdaugon nga espada.
He caused many to stumble; yea, one also fell over the other; and they said, Arise, and let us return to our own people, and to the land of our birth, from before the wasting sword.
17 Sila mingsinggit didto: Si Faraon nga hari sa Egipto maoy usa lamang ka gahob; gipalabay niya ang panahon nga tinudlo.
They called out there, Pharaoh is king of Egypt, it was but vaunting, he hath let the time appointed pass by.
18 Ingon nga buhi ako, nagaingon ang Hari kansang ngalan mao si Jehova sa mga panon, sa pagkamatuod ingon sa Tabor sa taliwala sa mga bukid, ug ingon sa Carmel nga anaa duol sa dagat, sa amo nga pagkaagi moanhi siya.
As I live, saith the King, the Lord of hosts is his name, Surely as Thabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel is by the sea, so shall he come.
19 Oh ikaw anak nga babaye nga nagapuyo sa Egipto, magsangkap ka sa imong kaugalingon sa pag-adto sa pagkabinihag; kay ang Memphis mahimong biniyaan ug masunog, nga wala mausa nga pumoluyo.
Appurtenances of exile make for thyself, O thou inhabitress, daughter of Egypt; for Noph shall be made a waste and be left desolate without an inhabitant.
20 Ang Egipto mao ang usa ka maanyag kaayong vaca, apan ang pagkalaglag nga gikan sa amihanan miabut, kini miabut nga gayud.
O fairest heifer, Egypt! the butcher from the north cometh, he cometh.
21 Ingon man usab ang iyang mga tawong sinuholan nga anaa sa taliwala niya sama sa pinatambok nga mga vaca nga anaa sa kamalig nga pasilonganan; kay sila usab nanibog, ug nanagdungan sa pagkalagiw, sila wala makasukol: kay midangat na kanila ang adlaw sa ilang kagul-anan, ang panahon sa pagdu-aw kanila.
Also her hired troops in the midst of her are like fatted calves; for they also are turned round, are fled away together, they do not stand; because the day of their calamity is come upon them, the time of their punishment.
22 Ang tingog niini mogula sama sa usa ka bitin; kay sila manlakaw uban ang usa ka panon sa kasundalohan, ug moanhi batok kaniya uban ang mga wasay, sama sa mga mamumutol sa kahoy.
Her cry shall come like [the hissing of] a serpent; for with an army shall they march, and with axes do they come against her, like hewers of wood.
23 Sila magapuril s aiyang lasang, nagaingon si Jehova, bisan pa dili kini masusi; sanglit daghan pa sila kay sa mga dulon, ug dili maisip.
They cut down her forest, saith the Lord, though it cannot be searched out; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and there is no number to them.
24 Ang anak nga babaye sa Egipto pagapakaulawan; siya igatugyan ngadto sa kamot sa katawohan sa amihanan.
Ashamed hath been made the daughter of Egypt: she hath been given up into the hand of the people of the north.
25 Si Jehova sa mga panon, ang Dios sa Israel, nagaingon: Ania karon, akong silotan si Ammon sa No ug si Faraon, ug ang Egipto, uban ang iyang mga dios, ug ang Egipto, uban ang iyang mga dios, ug ang iyang mga hari; bisan pa si Faraon, ug sila nga nanagsalig kaniya:
The Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, hath said, Behold, I will send visitation on Ahmon of No, and on Pharaoh, and on Egypt, and on her gods, and on her kings; even on Pharaoh, and on those that trust on him;
26 Ug akong itugyan sila ngadto sa kamot niadtong nanagpangita sa ilang mga kinabuhi, ug ngadto sa kamot ni Nabucodonosor hari sa Babilonia, ug ngadto sa kamot sa iyang mga sulogoon: ug sa tapus niini kana pagapuy-an ingon sa kanhing panahon, nagaingon si Jehova.
And I will give them up into the hand of those that seek their life, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterward shall she be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the Lord.
27 Apan dili ka mahadlok, Oh Jacob nga akong alagad, ni malisang ka Oh Israel: kay, ania karon, ikaw luwason ko gikan sa halayo, ug ang imong kaliwatan gikan sa yuta sa ilang pagkabinihag; ug si Jacob mobalik, ug mopahulay ug mopuyo sa kasayon, ug walay magahadlok kaniya.
But thou, —fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel; for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity: and Jacob shall return, and he shall be at rest and at ease, with none to make him afraid.
28 Ayaw kahadlok, Oh Jacob nga akong alagad, nagaingon si Jehova; kay ako nagauban kanimo: kay akong tibawason sa hingpit ang anang mga nasud diin ko ikaw aboga; apan ikaw dili ko tibawason sa hingpit, kondili sawayon ko hinoon ikaw sa tinagidyot; ug dili ko gayud ikaw pasagdan nga walay castigo.
Thou, —fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the Lord; for I am with thee: and although I make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee, yet of thee will I not make a full end; and I will correct thee in measure; yet wholly will I not leave thee unpunished.
