Isaias 18

1 Ah, ang yuta sa hinaguros sa mga pako, nga atua sa unahan sa mga suba sa Etiopia;

Woe to the land, that winged cymbal, which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia,

2 Nga nagapadala ug mga sinugo pinaagi sa dagat, bisan sa mga sakayan nga banban sa ibabaw sa mga tubig, nga nagaingon: Panlakaw kamo, matulin nga mga sinugo ngadto sa usa ka nasud nga binutad ug mahinlo, ngadto sa usa ka katawohan nga mabangis gikan sa ilang sinugdan ngadto sa unahan, usa ka nasud nga magatakus ug magatamak, kang kinsang yuta gibahin-bahin sa mga suba!

which sends ambassadors by sea and in vessels of papyrus above the waters. Go forth, O swift Angels, to a nation which has been convulsed and torn apart, to a terrible people, after whom there is no other, to a nation apprehensive and downtrodden, whose land the rivers have spoiled.

3 Kamong tanan nga mga pumoluyo sa kalibutan, ug kamong mga pumoluyo sa yuta, sa diha nga ang usa ka bandila patindugon na sa kabukiran, tan-awa ninyo; ug sa diha nga huypon na ang trompeta, pamatia ninyo.

All inhabitants of the world, you who dwell upon the earth: when the sign will have been elevated on the mountains, you will see, and you will hear the blast of the trumpet.

4 Kay mao kini ang giingon kanako ni Jehova: Maghilum ako, ug magatan-aw ako gikan sa akong dapit nga puloy-anan, sama sa kainit sa masanag nga kahayag sa adlaw sama sa usa ka panganod sa yamog sa kainit sa ting-ani.

For the Lord says this to me: I will be quiet, and I will consider in my place, as the light at midday is clear, and as a cloud of dew in the day of the harvest.

5 Kay sa dili pa ang ting-ani, sa matapus ang pamulak, ug ang bulak mahimo nang humilinog nga bunga sa parras, pagaputlon niya ang mga sangang gagmay sa mga sanggot nga igkakapon, ug ang malamboong mga sanga iyang pagakuhaon ug pagaputlon.

For before the harvest, all was flourishing. And it will spring forth with an untimely completion, and its little branches will be pruned with a curved blade. And what is left over will be cut away and shaken off.

6 Sila igabilin alang sa mga dumadagit nga mga langgam sa kabukiran, ug alang sa mga mananap sa yuta; ug ang dumadagit nga mga langgam anha mopuyo sa panahon sa ting-init sa ibabaw nila, ug ang tanang mga mananap sa yuta anha mopuyo sa panahon sa ting-tugnaw sa ibabaw nila.

And together they will be abandoned to the birds of the mountains and to the wild beasts of the earth. And the birds will be continuously on them in the summer, and all the wild beasts of the earth will winter over them.

7 Nianang panahon usa ka gasa pagadad-on kang Jehova sa mga panon gikan sa usa ka katawohan nga binutad ug mahinlo, bisan ang usa ka katawohan nga mabangis gikan sa sinugdan ngadto sa unahan, usa ka nasud nga magatakus ug magatamak kang kinsang yuta gibahinbahin sa mga suba, ngadto sa dapit sa ngalan ni Jehova sa mga panon, ang bukid sa Sion.
