Hosea 3

1 Ug si Jehova miingon kanako: Lumakaw ka pag-usab, higugmaa ang usa ka babaye nga hinigugma sa iyang higala, ug ang usa ka babayeng mananapaw, bisan maingon sa paghigugma ni Jehova sa mga anak sa Israel, bisan sila molingi ngadto sa laing mga dios, ug mahagugma sa mga sopas nga may pasas.

Then said the Lord unto me, Go once more, love a woman beloved of her husband, yet committing adultery; like the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel, who turn themselves after other gods, and love flagons of wine.

2 Busa siya gipalit ko alang kanako sa napulo ug lima ka book nga salapi, ug usa ka omer sa cebada, ug tunga sa omer sa cebada;

So I bought me such a one for fifteen pieces of silver, and for a chomer of barley, and half a chomer of barley.

3 Ug ako miingon kaniya: Ikaw magapabilin alang kanako sa daghang mga adlaw; ikaw dili na magapakighilawas, ug ikaw dili na mahimong asawa sa bisan kinsang tawo: busa ingon niana ako alang kanimo.

And I said unto her, Many days shalt thou abide [true] for me: thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not belong to any man, and so will I also be toward thee.

4 Kay ang mga anak sa Israel magapabilin sa daghang mga adlaw nga walay hari, ug walay principe, ug walay halad, ug walay haliging-halaran, ug walay ephod kun mga theraphin:

For many days shall the children of Israel abide without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without a standing image, and without an ephod and theraphim.

5 Sa human niana ang mga anak sa Israel mamalik, ug mangita kang Jehova nga ilang Dios, ug kang David nga ilang hari, ug mangadto kang Jehova uban ang kahadlok ug sa iyang pagkaayo sa ulahing mga adlaw.

After that will the children of Israel return, and seek for the Lord their God and David their king; and fearing will they hasten to the Lord and to his goodness in the latter days,
