Hosea 1

1 Ang pulong ni Jehova nga midangat kang Oseas ang anak nga lalake ni Beri, sa mga adlaw ni Ozias, Joatham, Achaz, ug Ezechias, mga hari sa Juda, ug sa mga adlaw ni Jeroboam, ang anak nga lalake ni Joas, hari sa Israel.

The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, [and] Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.

2 Sa diha nga si Jehova misulti pag-una pinaagi kang Oseas, si Jehova miingon kang Oseas: Lumakaw ka, pangasawa ug usa ka babaye nga makihilawason ug mga anak sa makihilawason; kay ang yuta nakasala sa dakung pagpakighilawas, nga mibulag kang Jehova.

The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, [departing] from the LORD.

3 Busa siya milakaw ug iyang gipangasawa si Gomer anak nga babaye ni Diblaim; ug siya nanamkon, ug nag-anak kaniya sa usa ka anak nga lalake.

So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.

4 Ug si Jehova miingon kaniya: Tawga ang iyang ngalan nga Jezreel; kay sa hamubong panahon, akong pagabalusan ang dugo ni Jezreel sa balay ni Jehu, ug akong wagtangon ang gingharian sa balay sa Israel.

And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little [while], and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.

5 Ug mahitabo niadtong adlawa, nga akong pagabunggoon ang busogan sa Israel didto sa walog ni Jezreel.

And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.

6 Ug siya nanamkon pag-usab, ug nag-anak usa ka anak nga babaye. Ug si Jehova miingon kaniya: Tawga ang iyang ngalan nga Loruhama; kay ako dili na malooy sa balay sa Israel, aron sila akong pasayloon sa tanang mga paagi.

And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And [God] said unto him, Call her name Lo-ruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away.

7 Apan ako malooy sa balay sa Juda, ug magaluwas kanila tungod kang Jehova nga ilang Dios, ug dili ko luwason sila pinaagi sa busogan, ni pinaagi sa espada, ni pinaagi sa gubat, ni pinaagi sa mga kabayo, ni pinaagi sa mga magkakabayo.

But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.

8 Karon sa human niya malutas si Loruhama, siya nanamkon, ug nag-anak usa ka anak nga lalake.

Now when she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.

9 Ug si Jehova miingon: Tawga ang iyang ngalan nga Laomi; kay kamo dili akong katawohan, ug ako dili mainyong Dios.

Then said [God], Call his name Lo-ammi: for ye [are] not my people, and I will not be your [God].

10 Bisan pa niana ang gidaghanon sa mga anak sa Israel maingon sa balas sa dagat, nga dili matakus ni maihap; ug mahitabo nga, sa dapit diin kana gisulti kanila: Kamo dili akong katawohan, kana igasulti kanila: Kamo mga anak sa buhi nga Dios.

Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, [that] in the place where it was said unto them, Ye [are] not my people, [there] it shall be said unto them, [Ye are] the sons of the living God.

11 Ug ang mga anak sa Juda ug ang mga anak sa Israel pagatigumon, ug sila sa ilang kaugalingon magatudlo usa ka pangulo, ug manungas gikan sa yuta; kay daku ang adlaw ni Jezreel.

Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great [shall be] the day of Jezreel.
