Hebreohanon 3
1 Busa, mga igsoong balaan, nga mga mag-aambit sa langitnon nga pagtawag, hinoktuki ninyo si Jesus, ang apostol ug labawng sacerdote sa atong tinoohan.
Therefore, holy brothers, comrades of a heavenly calling, fix your thoughts then upon Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession.
2 Siya matinumanon sa Dios nga mao ang nagtudlo kaniya, maingon nga si Moises usab nagmatinumanon diha sa balay sa Dios.
How faithful he was to the God who appointed him! For while Moses also was faithful in all God’s house,
3 Apan si Jesus naisip nga labaw pa ug himaya kay kang Moises, maingon nga ang magtutukod sa balay labaw pa ug dungog kay sa balay.
Jesus has been counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has built a house has higher honor than the house itself.
4 (Kay ang matag-usa ka balay may tawong nagtukod niini, apan ang magtutukod sa tanang mga butang mao ang Dios.)
For every house has its builder; but he who built the universe is God.
5 Ug si Moises ingon nga sulogoon matinumanon tuod diha sa tibuok balay sa Dios, sa pagpamatuod labut sa mga butang nga sa kaulahiay iyang igapamulong;
And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, bearing testimony to a witness about to be spoken;
6 apan si Cristo ingon nga Anak matinumanon sa pagdumala sa balay sa Dios. Ug kita mao ang iyang balay kon batonan ta nga malig-on ang atong pagsalig ug garbo sa atong paglaum.
but Christ as a Son in his own house; and we are that house, if we retain the cheerful courage and pride of our hope firm unto the end.
7 Busa, ingon sa gisulti sa Espiritu Santo, Karong adlawa, inigkadungog ninyo sa iyang tingog,
Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says. If you hear God’s voice today,
8 ayaw ninyo pagahia ang inyong mga kasingkasing ingon niadtong pagpangsupil nila batok kanako, sa adlaw sa pagpanulay didto sa kamingawan,
Continue not to harden your hearts as in the Provocation, On the day of temptation in the wilderness,
9 diin ang inyong mga ginikanan misulay kanako ug nakita nila ang akong mga buhat sulod sa kap-atan ka tuig.
When your forefathers tried my forbearance And saw my deeds for forty years.
10 Busa nasuko ako batok niadtong kaliwatana, ug miingon ako, `Kanunay gayud silang manghisalaag sa ilang mga kasingkasing; wala sila mahibalo sa akong mga dalan.'
For this reason I was sore displeased with that generation, And said, "They are always wandering in their hearts; They have never learned my ways";
11 Sumala sa akong gipanumpa tungod sa akong kapungot, `Dili gayud sila makasulod sa akong kapahulayan.'"
So I swore in my wrath, "They shall never enter into my rest."
12 Magmatngon kamo, mga igsoon, basi nga diha kang bisan kinsa kaninyo maanaa unyay dautan ug dili matinoohong kasingkasing, nga magataral kaninyo sa pagpamiya gikan sa buhi nga Dios.
See to it, brothers, that there shall never be in any one of you an evil and unbelieving heart, manifesting itself in apostasy from the living God.
13 Apan pagtinambagay kamo ang usa sa usa sa matag-adlaw, samtang matawag pa kini nga "karong adlawa," aron wala kaninyoy magmagahi tungod sa pagkamalimbongon sa sala.
On the contrary, encourage each other daily, so long as there is a "Today," so that no one of you is hindered by the deceitfulness of sin.
14 Kay kita nahimong mga mag-aambit kang Cristo, kon ang atong unang pagsalig padayonan ta sa pagkupot nga malig-on hangtud sa katapusan ug
For we are become comrades of the Christ, if we hold our first title deed firm until the very end.
15 samtang ginaingon pa, Karong adlawa, inigkadungog ninyo sa iyang tingog, ayaw ninyo pagahia ang inyong mga kasingkasing ingon niadtong pagpangsupil nila batok kanako."
In the words of Scripture, Today, if you hear his voice, Do not continue to harden your hearts as at the Provocation.
16 Kinsa ba kadto sila nga nanagpakadungog, ngani misupil batok kaniya? Dili ba mao man kadto silang tanan nga namahawa sa Egipto ubos sa pagpangulo ni Moises?
For who were they that heard and yet provoked him? Was it not all who came out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses?
17 Ug kinsa ba kadto sila nga gikasuk-an sa Dios sulod sa kap-atan ka tuig? Dili ba mao man kadto ang mga nanagpakasala, kinsang mga patayng lawas nahibilin didto sa kamingawan?
And with whom was he grieved for forty years? Was it not with those who had sinned, and whose dead bodies fell in the wilderness?
18 Ug kinsa man ang iyang gipanumpaan nga dili gayud sila makasulod sa iyang kapahulayan, kondili mao kadtong mga masupilon?
And to whom did he swear that they should never enter into his rest, if not to those who had proved faithless?
19 Ug nakita ta nga wala gayud sila makasulod tungod sa pagkadili matinoohon.
So you see that it was through unbelief that they were not able to enter in.
