Esdras 5

1 Karon ang mga manalagna, si Haggeo nga manalagna, ug si Zacharias ang anak nga lalake ni Iddo, nanagpanagna ngadto sa mga Judio nga didto sa Juda ug Jerusalem; sa ngalan sa Dios sa Israel sila nanagpanagna alang kanila.

Then Haggai a Prophet and Zechariah the sonne of Iddo a Prophet prophecied vnto the Iewes that were in Iudah, and Ierusalem, in the name of the God of Israel, euen vnto them.

2 Unya mitindog si Zorobabel ang anak nga lalake ni Sealthiel, ug si Jesua nga anak nga lalake ni Josadec, ug gisugdan ang pagtukod sa balay sa Dios nga didto sa Jerusalem; ug uban kanila ang mga manalagna sa Dios, nga nanagtabang kanila.

Then Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, and Ieshua the sonne of Iozadak arose, and began to builde the house of God at Ierusalem, and with them were the Prophetes of God, which helped them.

3 Sa maong panahon nahiadto kanila si Tatnai, ang gobernador sa unahan sa Suba, ug si Setharboznai, ug ang ilang mga kauban, ug ming-ingon kanila sa ingon niini: Kinsa ang mihatag kaninyo sa pagbulot-an sa pagtukod niining balaya ug sa paghuman niining kutaa?

At the same time came to them Tatnai, which was captaine beyonde the Riuer, and Shether-boznai and their companions, and sayd thus vnto them, Who hath giuen you commandement to buylde this house, and to lay the foundations of these walles?

4 Unya among gisuginlan sila niining paagiha, kinsa ang mga ngalan sa mga tawo nga nanagtukod niining balaya.

Then sayde we vnto them after this maner, What are the names of the men that buylde this buylding?

5 Apan ang mata sa ilang Dios diha sa mga anciano sa mga Judio, ug sila wala nila pahunonga, hangtud nga ang maong butang mahidangat kang Dario, ug unya ang tubag ikahatag pinaagi sa sulat mahitungod niini.

But the eye of their God was vpon the Elders of the Iewes, that they coulde not cause them to cease, till the matter came to Darius: and then they answered by letters thereunto.

6 Ang hulad sa sulat gipadala ni Tatnai, ang gobernador unahan sa Suba, ug ni Setharboznai, ug sa iyang mga kauban nga mga Arphasachehanon, nga diha unahan sa Suba, ngadto kang Dario nga hari;

The copie of the letter, that Tatnai captaine beyond the Riuer, and Shether-boznai and his companions, Apharsechaie, (which were beyond the Riuer) sent vnto King Darius.

7 Sila nagpadala ug usa ka sulat ngadto kaniya, diin gisulat ang ingon niini: Alang kang Dario nga hari, ang tibook nga pakigdait.

They sent a letter vnto him, wherein it was written thus, VNTO DARIVS the king, all peace.

8 Angay kini hibaloan sa hari, nga kami ming-adto sa lalawigan sa Juda, ngadto sa balay sa dakung Dios, nga tinukod uban sa dagkung mga bato, ug ang mga tigkahoy gipahamutang sa mga kuta; ug kining buhata nagapadayon uban sa kakugi ug nagauswag diha sa ilang mga kamot.

Be it knowen vnto the King, that we went into the prouince of Iudea, to the house of the great God, which is builded with great stones, and beames are layde in the walles, and this worke is wrought speedily, and prospereth in their hands.

9 Unya nangutana kami niadtong mga anciano, ug namulong kanila sa ingon niini: Kinsa ang mihatag sa pagbulot-an kaninyo sa pagtukod niining balaya ug sa paghuman niining kutaa?

Then asked we those Elders, and sayd vnto them thus, Who hath giuen you commandement to buylde this house, and to lay the foundation of these walles?

10 Among gipangutana ang ilang mga ngalan usab, sa pagpamatuod kanimo, aron among ikasulat ang mga ngalan sa mga tawo nga anaa sa pagpangulo kanila.

We asked their names also, that we might certifie thee, and that we might write the names of the men that were their rulers.

11 Ug sa ingon niini sila minghatag ug tubag kanamo, nga nagaingon: Kami mao ang mga alagad sa Dios sa langit ug sa yuta, ug nagatukod pag-usab sa balay nga natukod niining daghanang mga katuigan nga nangagi, nga gitukod ug nahuman sa usa ka dakung hari sa Israel.

But they answered vs thus, and sayd, We are the seruants of the God of heauen and earth, and buylde the house that was buylt of olde and many yeeres ago, which a great King of Israel builded, and founded it.

12 Apan sa tapus niana ang among mga amahan naghagit sa kasuko sa Dios sa langit, iyang gitugyan sila ngadto sa kamot ni Nabucodonosor nga hari sa Babilonia, ang Caldeahanon, nga maoy naggun-ob niining balaya, ug nagdala sa katawohan ngadto sa Babilonia.

But after that our fathers had prouoked the God of heauen vnto wrath, he gaue them ouer into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar King of Babel the Caldean, and he destroyed this house, and caryed the people away captiue vnto Babel.

13 Apan sa nahaunang tuig ni Ciro nga hari sa Babilonia, si Ciro nga hari naghimo ug usa ka pagbulot-an sa pag-tukod niining balay sa Dios.

But in the first yere of Cyrus King of Babel, King Cyrus made a decree to buylde this house of God.

14 Ug ang bulawan ug ang salapi nga mga sudlanan sa balay sa Dios, nga gipanguha ni Nabucodonosor gikan sa templo nga didto sa Jerusalem, ug gidala ngadto sa templo sa Babilonia, kadto gipanguha ni Ciro nga hari gikan sa templo sa Babilonia, ug gihatag niadtong usa nga ginganlan nga si Sesbassar, nga iyang gihimong gobernador;

And the vessels of golde and siluer of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar tooke out of the Temple, that was in Ierusalem, and brought them into the Temple of Babel, those did Cyrus the king take out of the Temple of Babel, and they gaue them vnto one Sheshbazzar by his name, whome he had made captaine.

15 Ug siya miingon kaniya: Dad-a kining mga sudlanan, lakaw, ibutang kini sa sulod sa templo nga atua sa Jerusalem, ug ipatukod ang balay sa Dios diha sa iyang dapit.

And he sayde vnto him, Take these vessels and goe thy way, and put them in the Temple that is in Ierusalem, and let the house of God be buylt in his place.

16 Unya nahiabut ang maong Sesbassar, ug mipahaluna sa mga patukoranan sa balay sa Dios nga anaa sa Jerusalem: ug sukad niadtong panahona bisan hangtud karon kini ginatukod, apan wala pa gayud mahuman.

Then came the same Sheshbazzar and layde the foundation of the house of God, which is in Ierusalem, and since that time euen vntill nowe, hath it bene in buylding, yet is it not finished.

17 Busa karon, kong kini makapahamuot sa hari, ipahimo ang usa ka pagsusi sa balay nga tipiganan sa bahandi sa hari nga atua sa Babilonia, kong matuod ba kini, nga ang usa ka pagbulot-ang gihimo ni Ciro nga hari sa pagtukod niining balay sa Dios sa Jerusalem; ug ipadala unta kanamo sa hari ang kabubut-on niya mahitungod niining butanga.

Nowe therefore if it please the King, let there be searche made in the house of the Kings treasures, which is there in Babel, whether a decree hath bene made by King Cyrus, to build this house of God in Ierusalem, and let the King send his minde concerning this.
