Ezequiel 20
1 Ug nahitabo sa ikapito ka tuig, sa ikalima ka bulan, sa ikanapulo ka adlaw sa bulan, nga dihay pipila sa mga anciano sa Israel nga ming-abut aron sa pagpakisayud mahitungod kang Jehova, ug minglingkod sa akong atubangan.
And it came to pass in the seventh year in the fifth month, on the tent of the month, that there came in men of the elders of Israel to enquire of Yahweh, —and they sat before me.
2 Ug ang pulong ni Jehova midangat kanako, nga nagaingon:
Then came the word of Yahweh unto me saying: -
3 Anak sa tawo, sumulti ka sa mga anciano sa Israel, ug umingon ka kanila: Mao kini ang giingon sa Ginoong Jehova: Mianhi ba kamo sa pagpakigsayud mahitungod kanako? Ingon nga ako buhi, nagaingon ang Ginoong Jehova, ako dili buot nga pakisayran ninyo.
Son of man Speak thou with the elders of Israel and say unto them, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, To enquire of me, are ye coming in? As I live, verily I will not be enquired of by you, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
4 Hukman mo ba sila, anak sa tawo, hukman mo ba sila? pahibaloon mo sila sa mga dulumtanan sa ilang mga amahan;
Wilt thou judge them, wilt thou judge, O son of man? The abominations of their fathers, let them know:
5 Ug umingon ka kanila: Mao kini ang giingon sa Ginoong Jehova: Sa adlaw sa akong pagpili sa Israel, ug sa nanumpa ako sa kaliwat sa balay ni Jacob, ug sa nagpaila ako sa akong kaugalingon kanila didto sa yuta sa Eqipto, sa diha nga nanumpa ako kanila, nga nagaingon: Ako mao si Jehova nga inyong Dios;
So then thou shalt say unto them Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, In the day when I made choice of Israel, then lifted I up my hand. to the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them, in the land of Egypt, - Yea I lifted up my hand to them, saying, I Yahweh, am your God.
6 Niadtong adlawa ako nanumpa kanila, sa pagdala kanila sa gawas gikan sa yuta sa Eqipto ngadto sa usa ka yuta nga akong nasusi alang kanila, yuta nga nagapaagay sa gatas ug dugos, nga maoy himaya sa tanang mga yuta.
In that day, lifted I up my hand to them, to bring them forth out of the land of Egypt, —into a land that I had looked out for them flowing with milk and honey, The beauty, it was of all lands,
7 Ug miingon ako kanila: Isalibay ninyo sa tagsatagsa ka tawo ang mga dulumtanan sa inyong mga mata, ug ayaw ninyo paghugawi ang inyong kaugalingon uban sa mga dios-dios sa Egipto; ako mao si Jehova nga inyong Dios.
And I said unto them. Every one the abomination of his eyes, cast ye away, And with the manufactured gods of Egypt, let it not be that ye defile yourselves: I, Yahweh, am your God.
8 Apan sila mingsukol batok kanako, ug wala mamati kanako; ang tagtatagsa kanila wala magsalibay sa mga dulumtanan sa ilang mga mata, ni mingbiya sila sa mga dios-dios sa Egipto. Unya ako miingon, ibubo ko ang akong kaligutgut diha sa ibabaw nila, aron sa pagtibawas sa akong kasuko batok kanila sa taliwala sa yuta sa Egipto.
But they rebelled against me And were not willing to hearken unto me, Every man the abominations of their eyes, they cast not away, And the manufactured gods of Egypt, forsook they not; Therefore spake I of pouring out mine indignation upon them to bring mine anger to an end against them, in the midst of the land of Egypt.
9 Apan gibuhat ko ang angay alang sa akong ngalan, aron kini dili panamastamasan sa atubangan sa mga nasud, diin sila anaa sa taliwala, sa kang kansang pagtan-aw gipaila ko kanila ang akong kaugalingon pinaagi sa pagdala kanila sa gawas sa yuta sa Egipto.
Howbeit I wrought with effect, for the sake of mine own Name, that it might not be profaned—before the eyes of the nations in whose midst they were, —before whose eyes I made myself known unto them, by bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
10 Busa ako silang gipagula gikan sa yuta sa Egipto, ug gihatud ko sila ngadto sa kamingawan.
Therefore brought I them forth out of the land of Egypt, —and caused them to come into the desert.
11 Ug gihatag ko kanila ang akong kabalaoran, ug gipakita kanila ang akong mga tulomanon, nga kong tumanon sa tawo, siya mabuhi diha kanila.
Then gave I unto them my statutes, And my regulations, caused I them to know, - By the which the man that doeth them shall live.
12 Labut pa usab gihatag ko kanila ang akong mga adlawng igpapahulay, aron mahimong usa ka timaan sa taliwala kanako ug kanila, aron sila makaila nga ako mao si Jehova nga ngabalaan kanila.
Moreover also my sabbaths, gave I unto them, to become a sign betwixt me and them, —that it might be known that, I, Yahweh, was hallowing them.
13 Apan ang balay sa Israel misukol batok kanako didto sa kamingawan: sila wala maglakaw sa akong kabalaoran, ug gisalikway nila ang akong mga tulomanon, nga kong bantayan kini sa tawo, siya mabuhi diha kanila; ug ang akong mga adlawng igpapahulay ilang gipasipalahan sa hilabihan gayud. Unya ako miingon nga ibubo ko ang akong kaligutgut diha sa ibabaw nila didto sa kamingawan, aron sa pag-ut-ut kanila.
But the house of Israel, rebelled against me, in the desert, In my statutes, walked they not, And my regulations, they rejected By the which the man, that doeth them, shall live, My sabbaths also, they profaned exceedingly. Therefore spake I of pouring out mine indignation upon them in the desert, to make an end of them.
14 Apan gibuhat ko ang angay alang sa akong ngalan, aron kini dili pasipalahan sa atubangan sa mga nasud, sa kang kansang pagtan-aw sila gipagula ko.
Howbeit I wrought with effect for the sake of mine own Name, —that it should not be profaned in the eyes of the nations, in whose eyes I had brought them forth.
15 Labut pa usab gipanumpa ko kanila didto sa kamingawan, nga sila dili ko unta dad-on ngadto sa yuta nga gihatag ko kanila, yuta nga nagapaagay sa gatas ug dugos, nga maoy himaya sa tanang mga yuta;
Yet even I lifted up my hand to them. in the desert, — That I would not bring them into the land which I had given to them flowing with milk and honey, The beauty, it was. of all lands:
16 Tungod kay gisalikway nila ang akong mga tulomanon, ug sila wala maglakaw sa akong kabalaoran, ug nanagpasipala sa akong mga adlawng igpapahulay: kay ang ilang kasingkasing nanagsunod sa ilang mga dios-dios.
Because my regulations, they had rejected. And as for my statutes, they had not walked therein, My sabbaths also, had they profaned; For after their manufactured gods, their heart had been going.
17 Bisan pa niana gipagawas sila sa akong mata, ug sila wala ko laglaga, ni itibawason ko sila didto sa kamingawan.
Nevertheless mine eye threw a shield over them that they should not be destroyed; So I made not of them a full end in the desert.
18 Ug ako miingon sa ilang mga anak didto sa kamingawan: Ayaw kamo paglakaw sa kabalaoran sa inyong mga amahan, ni magtuman kamo sa ilang mga tulomanon, ni maghugaw kamo sa inyong kaugalingon sa ilang mga dios-dios.
But I said unto their children in the desert, In the statutes of your fathers, let it not be that ye walk, And their regulations, let it not be that ye observe, — And with their manufactured gods, let it not be that ye defile yourselves.
19 Ako mao si Jehova nga inyong Dios: managlakaw kamo sa akong kabalaoran ug bantayan ninyo ang akong tulomanon ug tumana sila;
I, Yahweh, am your God, In my statutes, walk ye, — And my regulations, observe ye and do them;
20 Ug balaana ang akong mga adlawng igpapahuklay; ug sila mahimong usa ka timaan sa taliwala kanako ug kaninyo, aron kamo makaila nga ako mao si Jehova nga inyong Dios.
My sabbaths also, hallow ye, — And they shall become a sign betwixt me and you, That it may be known that I Yahweh am your God.
21 Apan, ang mga anak mingsukol batok kanako; sila wala maglakaw sa akong kabalaoran, ni magbantay sa akong mga tulomanon sa pagtuman kanila, nga kong sila tumanon sa tawo, siya mabuhi diha kanila; gipasipalahan nila ang akong mga adlawng igpapahulay. Unya ako miingon nga ibubo ko ang akong kaligutgut diha sa ibabaw nila aron sa pagtibawas sa akong kasuko batok kanila didto sa kamingawan.
Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me, In my statutes, walked they not, And my regulations, observed they not to do them Wherein the man who shall do them shall live, My sabbaths, they profaned. Therefore spake I of pouring out mine indignation upon them to bring mine anger to an end against them. in the desert.
22 Bisan pa niana ako nagpalikay sa akong kamot, ug gibuhat ko ang angay alang sa akong ngalan aron kini dili pasipalahan diha sa atubangan sa mga nasud, sa kang kansang pagtan-aw gipagula ko sila.
Howbeit I withdrew my hand, and wrought with effect for the sake of mine own Name, —that it should not be profaned before the eyes of the nations, before whose eyes I had brought them forth:
23 Labut pa ako nanumpa kanila didto sa kamingawan, nga patlaagon ko sila sa taliwala sa mga nasud, ug patibulaagon ko sila latas sa mga nasud;
Even, I, lifted up my hand to them in the desert, — That I would disperse them throughout the nations, And scatter them throughout the lands;
24 Tungod kay wala sila magtuman sa akong mga tulomanon, kondili nanagsalikway sa akong kabalaoran, ug nanagpasipala sa akong mga adlawng igpapahulay, ug ang ilang mga mata nanagnunot sa mga dios-dios sa ilang mga amahan.
Because my regulations, had they not done And my statutes, they had rejected, My sabbaths also, they had profaned, - And after the manufactured gods of their fathers, were their eyes turned.
25 Labut pa usab kanila gihatag ko nga silot ang kabalaoran nga dili maayo, ug mga tulomanon diin sila dili mabuhi;
I myself, indeed, suffered them to walk in statutes which were not good, — And regulations in which they could not live.
26 Ug sila gipahugawan ko sa kaugalingon nilang mga gasa, nga niana ilang gipaagi sa kalayo ang tanan kadto nga ming-abli sa tagoangkan, aron sila wagtangon ko, sa katuyoan nga sila makaila unta nga ako mao si Jehova.
Yea I let them defile themselves with their gifts, when they caused every firstborn to pass through the fire, -. that I might make them desolate. To the end they might know that, I, am Yahweh.
27 Busa, anak sa tawo, sumulti ka sa balay sa Israel, ug umingon ka kanila: Mao kini ang giingon sa Ginoong Jehova: Labut pa niining paagiha ang inyong mga amahan nagpasipala kanako, nga niana sila nakasala batok kanako.
Therefore speak thou unto the house of Israel Son of man, and say unto them, Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, — Yet further in this, did your fathers insult me, by the treachery wherewith they dealt treacherously against me;
28 Kay sa diha nga gipasulod ko sila ngadto sa yuta, nga akong gipanumpaan sa paghatag kanila, unya sila nakakita sa tagsatagsa ka hataas nga bungtod, ug sa tanang mga kahoy nga madasok ug sila nanagdulot didto sa ilang mga halad, ug didto gitanyag nila sa pagkamahagiton ang ilang halad; didto usab gibuhat nila ang ilang maamyon nga kahumot, ug didto gibubo ang ilang mga halad-nga-ilimnon.
When I brought them into the land as to which I had lifted up mine hand to give it them, then beheld they every high hill and every tangled tree And offered there their sacrifices, And presented there, their provoking gift, And placed there, their satisfying odour, And poured out there, their drink- offerings.
29 Unya ako miingon kanila: Unsa ba alang kaninyo ang kahulogan sa hataas nga dapit diin kamo moadto? Busa ang ngalan niana ginatawag nga Bama hangtud niining adlawa.
Therefore said I unto them, What! a high-place, whereinto ye are entering? And so the name thereof hath been called High-place, until this day.
30 Tungod niini umingon ka sa balay sa Israel: Mao kini ang giingon sa Ginoong Jehova: Gihugawan ba ninyo ang inyong kaugalingon ingon sa batasan sa inyong mga amahan? ug nakighilawas ba kamo sumala sa ilang mga dulumtanan?
Therefore say thou unto the house of Israel. Thus saith My Lord Yahweh, Is it in the way of your fathers, ye are defiling yourselves, - And after their abominations, that ye are committing lewdness?
31 Ug sa diha nga nanghatag kamo sa inyong mga gasa, sa diha nga gipaagi ninyo ang inyong mga anak diha sa kalayo, gihugawan ba ninyo ang inyong kaugalingon uban ang tanan ninyong mga dios-dios bisan hangtud ninyo ining adlawa? ug ako pakisayran pa ba diay ninyo, Oh balay sa Israel? Ingon nga ako buhi, nagaingon ang Ginoong Jehova, ako dili gayud pakisayran ninyo:
Yea when ye lift up your gifts When ye cause your children to pass through the fire, Ye are defiling yourselves unto all your manufactured gods unto this day, And shall, I, be enquired of by you O house of Israel? As I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Surely I will not be enquired of by you.
32 Ug kadtong mosulod sa inyong panumduman dili gayud mahitabo, sa pagkaagi nga kamo mag-ingon: Manig-ingon kita sa mga nasud, sama sa mga panimalay sa kayutaan, sa ilang pag-alagad sa kahoy ug bato.
And as for that which is rising up on your spirit, it shall, not at all come to pass, In that ye are saying Let us be like the nations Like the families of the lands, By ministering unto Wood and Stone!
33 Ingon nga ako buhi, nagaingon ang Ginoong Jehova, sa pagkamatuod uban ang kamot nga gamhanan, ug uban ang tinuy-od nga bukton ug uban ang kaligutgut nga binubo, ako magahari sa ibabaw ninyo.
As I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Surely, with a strong hand and With an outstretched arm and With outpoured indignation, Will I be king over you;
34 Ug panguhaon ko kamo gikan sa mga katawohan, ug tigumon ko kamo gikan sa mga kayutaan diin kamo gipatibulaag, uban ang kamot nga gamhanan, ug uban ang bukton nga tinuy-od, ug uban ang kaligutgut nga binubo;
And I will bring you forth from among the peoples, And gather you together out of the lands, throughout which ye have been dispersed, With a strong hand and With an outstretched arm, and With outpoured indignation;
35 Ug kamo dad-on ko ngadto sa kamingawan sa mga katawohan, ug didto hukman ko kamo, sa nawong ug nawong.
And I will bring you into the desert of the peoples, —and will contend with you there, face to face.
36 Ingon sa paghukom ko sa inyong mga amahan didto sa kamingawan sa yuta sa Eqipto, ingon man pagahukman ko kamo, nagaingon ang Ginoong Jehova.
Just as I contended with your fathers in the desert of the land of Egypt, So will I contend with you, Declareth My Lord Yahweh;
37 Ug kamo pasung-on ko ilalum sa akong sungkod, ug dad-on ko kamo ngadto sa higot sa tugon;
And I will cause you to pass under the rod And will bring you into the bond of the covenant;
38 Ug paphaon ko gikan sa inyong taliwala ang mga masukihon, ug kadtong nanagpakasala batok kanako; panad-on ko sila ngadto sa gawas gikan sa yuta diin sila magapuyo, apan sila dili makasulod sa yuta sa Israel: ug kamo makaila nga ako mao si Jehova.
And will sever from you those who are rebelling and those who are transgressing against me, Out of the land of their sojournings, will I bring them forth, Yet upon the soil of Israel, shall they not enter, So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.
39 Mahatungod kaninyo, Oh balay sa Israel, mao kini ang giingon sa Ginoong Jehova: Lakaw kamo, mag-alagad ang tagsatagsa kaninyo sa iyang mga dios-dios, ug kutob karon hangtud sa katapusan usab kong ugaling kamo dili magpatalinghug kanako; apan ang akong balaan nga ngalan dili na ninyo pasipalahan uban sa inyong mga gasa, ug uban sa inyong mga dios-dios.
But as for you, O house of Israel Thus, saith my Lord. Yahweh, Go. serve every man his own manufactured gods, Yet afterwards, surely Ye shall be ready to hearken unto me, — And my holy name, shall ye profane no more, With your gifts, and With your manufactured gods.
40 Kay sa akong balaan nga bukid, sa hataas nga bukid sa Israel, nagaingon ang Ginoong Jehova, didto ang tibook nga balay sa Israel, silang tanan magaalagad kanako diha sa yuta: didto, dawaton ko sila, ug didto pagakinahanglanon ko ang inyong mga halad, ug ang unang mga bunga sa inyong mga paghalad, uban ang tanan ninyong mga balaan nga butang.
For in my holy mountain. In the mountain of the height of Israel, Declareth, My Lord Yahweh, There shall all the house of Israel serve me, all of it, in the land, There will I accept them, and There, will I seek your heave-offerings and the firstfruits of your gifts, in all your holy things:
41 Dawaton ko kamo ingon nga usa ka maamyon nga kahumot, sa diha nga kuhaon ko kamo gikan sa mga katawohan, ug sa diha nga tigumon ko kamo gikan sa mga kayutaan diin kamo gipatibulaag; ug ako pagabalaanon diha kaninyo sa atubangan sa mga nasud.
As a satisfying odour, will I accept you, Through my bringing you forth from among the peoples, And gathering you out of the lands, throughout which ye have been dispersed; Thus will I hallow myself in you before the eyes of the nations.
42 Ug kamo makaila nga ako mao si Jehova, sa diha nga dad-on ko kamo ngadto sa yuta sa Israel, sulod sa yuta nga gipanumpa ko nga ihatag sa inyong mga amahan.
So shall ye know that I am Yahweh, Through my bringing you in unto the soil of Israel, Unto the land as to which I lifted up my hand, to give it unto your fathers.
43 Ug didto mahinumdum kamo sa inyong mga dalan, ug sa tanan ninyong mga buhat, diin kamo naghugaw sa inyong kaugalingon; ug kamo pagalud-on sa inyong kaugalingon diha sa inyong pagtan-aw tungod sa tanang mga kadautan nga inyong nabuhat.
Then shall ye call to mind. there, your own ways and all your own doings, wherewith ye had defiled yourselves, - And ye shall become loathsome in your own sight, for all your wickednesses, which ye have done.
44 Ug kamo makaila nga ako mao si Jehova, sa diha nga mabuhat ko na ang angay kaninyo tungod sa akong ngalan, dili sumala sa inyong mga dautang dalan, ni sumala sa inyong mga hiwi nga buhat, Oh kamo nga sa balay sa Israel, nagaingon ang Ginoong Jehova.
So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh, Through my dealing effectively with you, for the sake of mine own Name, - Not according to your own wicked ways. Nor according to your corrupted doings. O house of Israel, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
45 Ug ang pulong ni Jehova midangat kanako, nga nagaingon:
Then came the word of Yahweh unto me. saying:
46 Anak sa tawo, ipaatubang ang imong nawong paingon sa habagatan, ug ihulog ang imong pulong paingon sa habagatan, ug panagna batok sa kalasangan sa kapatagan sa Habagatan;
Son of man Set thy face the way towards Teman, And drop thy word against the land of the sun, And prophesy unto the forest of the field of the South;
47 Ug umingon ka sa kalasangan sa Habagatan: Pamati sa pulong ni Jehova: Mao kini ang giingon sa Ginoong Jehova: Ania karon, ako magahaling ug kalayo diha kanimo, ug kini magaut-ut sa tanang lunhaw nga kahoy nga anaa kanimo, ug sa tanang laya nga kahoy: ang nagdilaab nga siga dili mapalong, ug ang tanang mga nawong gikan sa habagatan ngadto sa amihanan masunog niana.
And thou shalt say to the forest of the South Hear the word of Yahweh, — Thus saith My Lord Yahweh-Behold me! kindling in thee a fire. And it shall devour in thee every moist tree and every dry tree. The spreading flame shall not be quenched, Then shall be scorched thereby all faces from south to north;
48 Ug ang tanang unod makakita nga ako, si Jehova, maoy mihaling niini: kini dili mapalong.
And all flesh shall see that I. Yahweh have kindled it, - It shall not be quenched.
49 Unya miingon ako: Ah Ginoong Jehova: sila nagaingon tungod kanako: Dili ba siya maoy usa ka magsusulti sa mga sambingay?
Then said I, Ah! My Lord Yahweh: They are saying of me, Is not he a putter forth of parables?
