Exodo 16

1 Ug mipanaw sila gikan sa Elim, ug ang tibook nga katilingban sa mga anak sa Israel, mingdangat sa kamingawan sa Sin, nga diha sa tungatunga sa Elim ug sa Sinai, sa ikanapulo ug lima nga adlaw sa ikaduha nga bulan sa tapus sila mogula gikan sa yuta sa Egipto.

Then moved they on from Elim, and all the assembly of the sons of Israel entered into the desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month, by their coming forth out of the land of Egypt.

2 Ug ang tibook nga katilingban sa mga anak sa Israel nanagbagulbol batok kang Moises ug batok kang Aaron didto sa kamingawan;

Then did all the assembly of the sons of Israel murmur against Moses and against Aaron in the desert;

3 Ug ming-ingon kanila ang mga anak sa Israel: Apat hinoon namatay kami pinaagi sa kamot ni Jehova didto sa yuta sa Egipto, sa nanaglingkod kami tupad sa mga kolon sa mga unod, sa nanagpangaon kami ug tinapay sa pagkabusog; kay kami gidala ninyo dinhi niining kamingawan, aron sa pagpatay sa kagutom niining tibook nga katilingban.

and the sons of Israel said unto them—Oh that we had died by the hand of Yahweh, in the land of Egypt, when we remained by the pot of flesh, when we did eat bread to the full, —for ye have brought us forth into this desert, to cause all this multitude to die by famine.

4 Unya si Jehova miingon kang Moises: Ania karon, magapaulan ako ug tinapay gikan sa langit alang kaninyo; ug ang katawohan manggula ug magakuha ug igo nga bahin sa tagsa ka adlaw, aron ako makasulay kanila kong sila magalakaw ba sa akong Kasugoan, o dili.

Then said Yahweh unto Moses, Behold me! raining down for you bread out of heaven, —and the people shall go out and gather the portion for a day, on its day, that I may prove them whether they will walk in my law, or not.

5 Ug mahitabo nga sa ikaunom ka adlaw manag-andam sila niadtong ilang pagadad-on, ug kini mao ang pilo sa gidaghanon sa gitigum nila adlaw-adlaw.

And it shall come to pass on the sixth day, that they shall settle what they shall bring in, —and it shall be twice as much as they gather day by day.

6 Ug miingon si Moises ug si Aaron sa tanan nga mga anak sa Israel: Sa pagkagabii, nan manghibalo kamo nga si Jehova ang mikuha kaninyo gikan sa yuta sa Egipto;

So Moses and Aaron said unto all the sons of Israel, —At eventide, then shall ye know that it was, Yahweh, who brought you forth, out of the land of Egypt;

7 Ug sa pagkabuntag, nan makakita kamo sa himaya ni Jehova; kay niana siya nagapatalinghug sa inyong mga pagbagulbol batok kang Jehova; ug, unsa ba kami, nga nanagbagulbol man kamo batok kanamo?

and, in the morning, then shall ye see the glory of Yahweh, in that he hath heard your murmurings against Yahweh, —what then are, we, that ye should murmur against, us?

8 Ug miingon si Moises: Si Jehova magahatag kaninyo sa kagabhion ug unod alang sa pagkaon, ug sa kabuntagon tinapay sa pagkabusog; kay siya nakadungog sa inyong mga bagulbol nga gibagulbol ninyo batok kaniya: ug unsa ba kami? Ang mga pagbagulbol ninyo dili batok kanamo, kondili batok kang Jehova.

And Moses said—In that Yahweh giveth you in the evening flesh to eat, and bread in the morning, to the full, in that Yahweh heareth your murmurings wherewith ye are murmuring against him, what then are, we? Not against us, do ye murmur but against Yahweh.

9 Ug miingon si Moises kang Aaron: Ingna ang tibook nga katilingban sa mga anak sa Israel: Dumuol kamo sa atubangan ni Jehova, kay siya nakadungog sa inyong mga pagbagulbol.

And Moses said unto Aaron, Say unto all the assembly of the sons of Israel, Draw near, before Yahweh, —for he hath heard your murmurings.

10 Ug nahitabo, sa nagsulti si Aaron sa tibook nga katilingban sa mga anak sa Israel, nga mingtan-aw sila dapit sa kamingawan, ug ania karon, ang himaya ni Jehova, nagpakita didto sa panganod.

And it came to pass, when Aaron spake unto all the assembly of the sons of Israel, then turned they towards the desert, —and lo! the glory of Yahweh, had appeared in the cloud,

11 Ug si Jehova misulti kang Moises, nga nagaingon:

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses—saying,

12 Ako nakadungog sa mga pagbagulbol sa mga anak sa Israel; sultihan mo sila sa pag-ingon: Sa pagkagabii magakaon kamo ug unod, ug sa pagkabuntag pagabusgon kamo sa tinapay; ug manghibalo kamo nga ako mao si Jehova nga inyong Dios.

I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel, —speak unto them, saying—Between the two evenings, shall ye eat flesh, and in the morning, shall ye be filled with bread, —so shall ye know that I Yahweh am your God.

13 Ug nahitabo sa pagkagabii, nga mingkayaw ang mga buntog, ug minghugpa sa campo, ug sa pagkabuntag naglukop ang tun-og libut sa campo.

And it came to pass, in the evening, that there came up quail, and covered the camp, —and in the morning was the outpouring of dew, round about the camp;

14 Ug sa misaka ang tun-og nga naglukop sa campo, ania karon, sa ibabaw sa nawong sa kamingawan dihay usa ka butang nga diyutay ug malingin, diyutay nga ingon sa usa ka tun-og nga tibook sa ibabaw sa yuta.

and when the outpouring of dew went up, then lo! on the face of the desert, a thin flake, thin as hoar-frost on the earth,

15 Ug sa pagkakita niini sa mga anak sa Israel, nanag-ingon ang usa ug usa kanila: Unsa ba kini? kay sila wala makaila kong unsa kadto. Ug si Moises miingon kanila: Mao kana ang tinapay nga gihatag ni Jehova kaninyo aron pagkan-on.

And when the sons of Israel saw it they said one to another—What is that? For they knew not what "that" was. Then said Moses unto them, "That" is the bread which Yahweh hath given you to eat.

16 Kini mao ang butang nga gisugo ni Jehova: Pamunit kamo niini ang tagsatagsa ingon sa iyang arang makaon: usa ka Omer sa tagsa ka tawo, sumala sa gidaghanon sa inyong mga tawo, magakuha kamo niini, ang tagsatagsa alang kanila nga atua sa iyang balong-balong.

This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded, Gather ye thereof, each man what he needeth for eating, —an omer a head, by the number of your souls, each man—for them who are in his tent, shall ye take.

17 Ug ang mga anak sa Israel nagbuhat sa ingon: ug nanagpamupho sila ang uban daghan, ug ang uban diriyut da:

And the sons of Israel did so, —and gathered, [some] more, and [some] less;

18 Ug sa diha nga kini gitakus nila sa omer, wala kumapin ang sa nakatigum ug daghan, wala usab magkulang ang sa nakatigum ug diyutay: ang tagsatagsa nagtigum sumala sa makaon niya.

and when they measured it with the omer, he who had gathered more had nothing over, and he who had gathered less had no lack: each man what he needed for eating, did they gather.

19 Ug si Moises miingon kanila: Walay bisan kinsa nga magasalin niana hangtud ugma sa buntag.

And Moses said unto them, —Let, no man leave thereof, until morning.

20 Apan sila wala managtuman kang Moises; kondili nga ang uban nanagsalin niana hangtud sa pagkabuntag, ug kini giulod, ug nadunot ug nasuko si Moises kanila.

But they hearkened not unto Moses, but certain men left thereof until morning, and it swarmed with worms and become loathsome, —and Moses was wroth with them.

21 Ug nanagpamupho sila niana matag-buntag, ang tagsatagsa ka tawo sumala sa iyang makaon: ug sa pag-init sa adlaw, natunaw kini.

Thus then they gathered it morning by morning, each man what he needed for eating, and as soon as the sun waxed hot, so soon it melted.

22 Ug nahitabo nga sa ikaunom ka adlaw nanagpamupho sila sa pilo sa gidaghanon sa tinapay, duruha ka omer alang sa tagsatagsa: ug ang tanan nga mga pangulo sa katilingban nangadto ug nanagsugilon kang Moises.

And it came to pass on the sixth day, that they gathered food twice as much, two omers for each one, —so all the princes of the assembly came in, and told Moses.

23 Ug siya miingon kanila: Kini mao ang giingon ni Jehova: Ugma mao ang balaan nga pagpahulay, ang adlaw nga igpapahulay ngadto kang Jehova: ang pagalutoon ninyo, lutoa ninyo karon, ug ang pagalung-agon ninyo lung-aga ninyo karon; ug ang tanan nga makapin kaninyo, tipigan ninyo hangtud ugma sa buntag.

And he said unto them—That is what Yahweh spake. The observance of a holy sabbath to Yahweh, is to-morrow, —what ye would bake, bake and what ye would boil, boil, and all that is left over, put by you to keep until the morning.

24 Ug ilang gitipigan kini hangtud sa pagkabuntag ingon sa gisugo ni Moises; ug kini wala madunot, walay ulod usab niini.

So they put it by until the morning, as Moses had commanded, —and it gave no unpleasant odour, neither was there a worm, therein.

25 Ug miingon si Moises: Kan-a ninyo kana karon, kay karon mao ang adlaw nga igpapahulay ngadto kang Jehova: Karon dili kamo makakaplag niana sa kapatagan.

Then said Moses—Eat ye it to-day, for a sabbath, is to-day, unto Yahweh, —to-day, ye shall not find it in the field.

26 Sa unom ka adlaw magapamunit kamo niana; apan sa ikapito ka adlaw nga mao ang adlaw nga igpapahulay, niining adlawa dili makaplagan kini.

Six days, shall ye gather it, —but on the seventh day, a sabbath, it shall not be therein.

27 Ug nahatabo sa ikapito ka adlaw nga ang uban sa katawohan migula sa pagpamunit, ug sila wala makakaplag.

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that there went forth some of the people to gather, —but they found not.

28 Ug miingon si Jehova kang Moises: Hangtud ba anus-a nga managdumili kamo sa akong mga sugo ug sa akong mga tulomanon?

Then said Yahweh unto Moses, —How long have ye refused to keep my commandments and my laws?

29 Tan-awa ninyo, kay niana si Jehova naghatag kaninyo sa adlaw nga igpapahulay ug tungod niini siya nagahatag kaninyo sa ikaunom ka adlaw ug tinapay nga alang sa duruha ka adlaw. Magpuyo ang tagsatagsa sa iyang puloy-anan, ug walay bisan kinsa nga magagula gikan sa iyang dapit sa ikapito ka adlaw.

See because Yahweh hath given you the sabbath, for this cause, is, he, giving you on the sixth day, food for two days, —abide ye every man in his place, let no man go forth from his dwelling, on the seventh day,

30 Mao nga ang katawohan mingpahulay sa ikapito ka adlaw.

So the people rested on the seventh day.

31 Ug ang panimalay sa Israel naghingalan niini nga Mana; ug kini maingon sa liso sa culantro, nga maputi; ug ang iyang lami ingon sa tinapay nga manipis nga may dugos.

And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna, —and the same, was like coriander seed white, and the taste thereof, like flat-cake with honey,

32 Ug miingon si Moises: Kini mao ang gisugo ni Jehova: Pun-on ninyo ang usa ka omer niini aron pagtipigan ngadto sa inyong mga kaliwatan, aron makakita sila sa tinapay nga akong gipakaon kaninyo didto sa kamingawan, sa pagkuha ko kaninyo gikan sa yuta sa Egipto.

And Moses said—This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded, Fill an omer therefrom as a thing to be preserved to your generations, —that they may see the bread wherewith I fed you in the desert, when I brought you forth out of the land of Egypt.

33 Ug miingon si Moises kang Aaron: Kumuha ka ug usa ka kolon ug sudlan mo kini ug usa ka omer nga puno sa mana, ug ibutang mo kini sa atubangan ni Jehova, aron matipigan ngadto sa inyong mga kaliwatan.

So Moses said unto Aaron—Take a single basket, and put therein an omer-full of manna, —and set it down before Yahweh, as a thing to be preserved to your generations.

34 Ug kini gibutang ni Aaron sa atubangan sa Pagpamatuod aron kini tipigan, ingon sa gisugo ni Jehova kang Moises.

As Yahweh gave command unto Moses, so did Aaron set it down before the testimony, as a thing to be preserved,

35 Ug nanagpangaon ang mga anak sa Israel sa mana sulod sa kap-atan ka tuig, hangtud nga mingsulod sila sa yuta nga gipuy-an: mana ang gipangaon nila hangtud nga mingdangat sila sa mga utlanan sa yuta sa Canaan.

And, the sons of Israel did eat the manna forty years, until they entered into the land wherein they were to dwell, —the manna, they did eat until they entered into the bounds of the land of Canaan.

36 Ug ang usa ka omer mao ang ikapulo ka bahin sa epha.

Now, an omer, is, the tenth of the ephah.
