Ester 9
1 Karon sa ikapulo ug duha ka bulan, nga mao ang bulan sa Adar, sa ikanapulo ug tolo ka adlaw sa maong bulan, sa diha nga ang sugo sa hari ug ang iyang pagbulot-an haduol na nga pagatumanon, sa adlaw nga ang mga kaaway sa mga Judio naglaum nga makaghari kanila (apan nasuhi, nga kini nabalit-ad kay ang mga Judio naghari niadtong mga nagadumot kanila),
So in the twelft moneth, which is the moneth Adar, vpon the thirteenth daye of the same, when the Kings commandement and his decree drew neere to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Iewes hoped to haue power ouer them (but it turned contrary: for the Iewes had rule ouer them that hated them)
2 Ang mga Judio nagtigum sa ilang kaugalingon diha sa ilang mga ciudad nga minglukop sa tanang mga lalawigan ni hari Assuero, aron sa pagdapat sa ilang kamot niadtong nagapangita sa ilang kadaut: ug walay tawo nga makasukol kanila; kay ang kahadlok kanila miabut sa tanang mga katawohan,
The Iewes gathered themselues together into their cities throughout all the prouinces of the King Ahashuerosh, to lay hande on such as sought their hurt, and no man coulde withstande them: for the feare of them fel vpon al people.
3 Ug ang tanang mga principe sa mga lalawighan, ug ang mga labawng punoan sa lalawigan, ug ang mga gobernador, ug sila nga naghimo sa bulohaton sa hari, mingtabang sa mga Judio; tungod kay ang pagkahadlok kang Mardocheo miabut kanila.
And all the rulers of the prouinces, and the princes and the captaines, and the officers of the King exalted the Iewes: for the feare of Mordecai fell vpon them.
4 Kay si Mardocheo daku sa balay sa hari, ug ang iyang kadungganan milukop sa tanang mga lalawigan; kay ang tawo nga si Mardocheo nagaanam ug kadaku.
For Mordecai was great in the kings house, and the report of him went through all the prouinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
5 Ug ang mga Judio nagpatay sa tanan nilang mga kaaway sa usa ka paghalabas sa pinuti, ug uban sa kamatay ug sa pagkalaglag, ug ilang gibuhat ang buot nilang buhaton niadtong nanagdumot kanila.
Thus the Iewes smote all their enemies with strokes of the sworde and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they woulde vnto those that hated them.
6 Ug didto sa Susan nga mao ang palacio, ang mga Judio mingpatay ug minglaglag sa lima ka gatus ka tawo.
And at Shushan the palace slewe the Iewes and destroyed fiue hundreth men,
7 Ug si Phorsandatha, ug si Dalphon, ug si Asphatha,
And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,
8 Ug si Phoratha, ug si Ahalia, ug si Aridatha,
And Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,
9 Ug si Pharmastha, ug si Arisai, ug si Aridai, ug si Vaizatha,
And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vaiezatha,
10 Ang napulo ka mga anak nga lalake ni Aman, anak nga lalake ni Amadatha, ang kaaway sa mga Judio ilang gipapatay; apan sa inagaw wala sila manghilabut.
The ten sonnes of Haman, ye sonne of Ammedatha, the aduersarie of the Iewes slewe they: but they layd not their hands on the spoyle.
11 Niadtong adlawa ang gidaghanon niadtong gipamatay didto sa Susan nga mao ang palacio gidala ngadto sa atubangan sa hari.
On the same day came ye nomber of those that were slayne, vnto the palace of Shushan before the King.
12 Ug ang hari miingon kang Ester nga reina: Ang mga Judio nakapatay ug nakalaglag ug lima ka gatus ka mga tawo didto sa Susan nga mao ang palacio, ug ang napulo ka mga anak nga lalake ni Aman; unsa man diay ang ilang gibuhat sa nahabilin sa mga lalawigan sa hari! Karon unsa man ang imong pangayoon? ug kini igahatag kanimo: Kun unsa pay uban mong ihangyo? ug kini pagabuhaton.
And the King sayd vnto the Queene Ester, The Iewes haue slayne in Shushan the palace and destroyed fiue hundreth men, and the ten sonnes of Haman: what haue they done in the rest of the Kings prouinces? and what is thy petition, that it may be giuen thee? or what is thy request moreouer, that it may be performed?
13 Unya miingon si Ester: Kong kini makapahimuot sa hari, itugot sa mga Judio nga anaa sa Susan ang pagbuhat ugma usab sumala sa sugo niining adlawa, ug ipabitay ang napulo ka mga anak nga lalake ni Aman sa bitayan.
Then sayd Ester, If it please the King, let it be granted also to morow to the Iewes that are in Shushan, to do according vnto this daies decree, that they may hang vpon ye tree Hamans ten sonnes.
14 Ug ang hari nagsugo niini aron pagabuhaton: ug ang usa ka pagbulot-an gihatag didto sa Susan; ug ilang gibitay ang napulo ka mga anak nga lalake ni Aman.
And the King charged to doe so, and the decree was giuen at Shushan, and they hanged Hamans ten sonnes.
15 Ug ang mga Judio nga didto sa Susan nanagtigum sa ilang kaugalingon sa pagtingub sa ikanapulo ug upat ka adlaw sa bulan sa Adar, ug gipamatay ang totolo ka gatus ka tawo sa Susan; apan sa inagaw wala sila manghilabut.
So the Iewes that were in Shushan, assembled themselues vpon the fourteenth day of the moneth Adar, and slew three hundreth men in Shushan, but on the spoyle they layd not their hand.
16 Ug ang ubang mga Judio nga diha sa mga lalawigan sa hari nanagtigum sa ilang kaugalingon sa pagtingub, ug mingtindog sila tungod sa ilang kinabuhi, ug nakapahulay gikan sa ilang mga kaaway, ug niadtong nanagdumot kanila nakapatay sila ug kapitoan ug lima ka libo; apan sa inagaw wala sila manghilabut.
And the rest of the Iewes that were in the Kings prouinces assembled themselues, and stood for their liues, and had rest from their enemies, and slewe of them that hated them, seuentie and fiue thousand: but they layd not their hand on the spoyle.
17 Kini gibuhat sa ikanapulo ug tolo ka adlaw sa bulan sa Adar; ug sa ikanapulo ug upat ka adlaw sa maong bulan sila mingpahulay, ug gihimo kini nga usa ka adlaw sa combira ug kalipay.
This they did on the thirteenth day of the moneth Adar, and rested the fourteenth day thereof, and kept it a day of feasting and ioy.
18 Apan ang mga Judio nga didto sa Susan nanagtigum sa pagtingub sa ikanapulo ug tolo ka adlaw niana; ug sa ikanapulo ug upat niana; ug sa ikanapulo ug lima ka adlaw sa maong bulan sila namahulay, ug gihimo kini nga usa ka adlaw sa combira ug kalipay.
But the Iewes that were in Shushan assembled themselues on the thirteenth day, and on the fourteenth therof, and they rested on the fifteenth of the same, and kept it a day of feasting and ioy.
19 Busa ang mga Judio sa mga balangay nga nanagpuyo sa mga dilikinutaan nga lungsod, naghimo sa ikanapulo ug upat ka adlaw sa bulan sa Adar usa ka adlaw sa kalipay ug pagcombira, ug usa ka maayong adlaw, ug sa pagpadala ug mga balin gikan sa usa ngadto sa lain.
Therefore the Iewes of the villages that dwelt in the vnwalled townes, kept the foureteenth day of the moneth Adar with ioy and feasting, euen a ioyfull day, and euery one sent presents vnto his neighbour.
20 Ug si Mardocheo nagsulat niining mga butanga, ug nagpadala ug mga sulat sa tanang mga Judio nga didto sa tanang lalawigan sa hari nga si Assuero, ang sa nahaduol ug ang sa nahalayo.
And Mordecai wrote these words, and sent letters vnto all the Iewes that were through all the prouinces of the King Ahashuerosh, both neere and farre,
21 Aron sa pagsugo kanila nga sila magbantay sa ikanapulo ug upat ka adlaw sa bulan sa Adar, ug sa ikanapulo ug lima ka adlaw sa maong bulan, tuigtuig,
Inioyning them that they shoulde keepe the fourteenth day of the moneth Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, euery yeere.
22 Ingon nga ang mga adlaw diin ang mga Judio namahulay gikan sa ilang mga kaaway, ug sa bulan nga nahimo kanila nga kalipay gikan sa kasubo, ug gikan sa kasakit ngadto sa usa ka maayong adlaw; nga sila nagbuhat kanila ug mga adlaw sa combira ug kalipay, ug sa pagpadala ug mga bahin sa usa ug usa, ug mga gasa alang sa mga kabus.
According to the dayes wherein the Iewes rested from their enemies, and the moneth which was turned vnto them from sorowe to ioy, and from mourning into a ioyfull day, to keepe them the dayes of feasting, and ioy, and to sende presents euery man to his neyghbour, and giftes to the poore.
23 Ug ang mga Judio nanagbuhat sa pagpadayon sumala sa ilang nasugdan, ug sumala sa gisulat ni Mardocheo kanila;
And the Iewes promised to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written vnto them,
24 Tungod kay si Aman ang anak nga lalake ni Amadatha nga Agagehanon, ang kaaway sa tanang mga Judio, naglalang batok sa mga Judio aron sa paglaglag kanila, ug nagpagula ug Pur, nga mao ang rifa, aron sa pagut-ut kanila; ug sa paglaglag kanila.
Because Haman the sonne of Hammedatha the Agagite al the Iewes aduersarie, had imagined against the Iewes, to destroy them, and had cast Pur (that is a lot) to consume and destroy them.
25 Apan sa nahiabut ang maong butang sa atubangan sa hari, siya misugo pinaagi sa mga sulat nga ang iyang lalang nga dautan, nga iyang gilalang batok sa mga Judio, mosumbalik ra sa iyang ulo, ug nga siya ug ang iyang mga anak nga lalake pagabitayon sa bitayan.
And when she came before the King, he commanded by letters, Let this wicked deuise (which he imagined against the Iewes) turne vpon his owne head, and let them hang him and his sonnes on the tree.
26 Busa ilang gitawag kining mga adlawa nga Purim, gikan sa ngalan nga Pur. Busa tungod sa tanang mga pulong niining sulata, ug niadtong ilang nakita mahitungod niining maong butang, ug kadtong midangat kanila,
Therfore they called these dayes Purim, by the name of Pur, and because of all the wordes of this letter, and of that which they had seene besides this, and of that which had come vnto them.
27 Ang mga Judio nagtukod, ug ilang gisaad alang sa ilang kaugalingon, ug sa ilang mga kaliwatan, ug sa tanan nga nanagpahiusa kanila, aron nga kini dili makawang, nga sila magabantay niining duruha ka adlaw sumala sa sinulat niini, ug sumala sa natudlong panahon niana, matag-tuig;
The Iewes also ordeined, and promised for them and for their seede, and for all that ioyned vnto them, that they would not faile to obserue those two dayes euery yeere, according to their writing, and according to their season,
28 Ug nga kining mga adlawa pagahinumduman ug pagabantayan sa tagsatagsa ka kaliwatan, tagsatagsa ka panimalay, tagsatagsa ka lalawigan, ug sa tagsatagsa ka ciudad; ug nga niining mga adlawa sa Purim dili hikalimtan sa mga Judio, ni ang handumanan kanila mawala sa ilang mga kaliwatan.
And that these dayes shoulde be remembred, and kept throughout euery generation and euery familie, and euery prouince, and euery citie: euen these daies of Purim should not faile among the Iewes, and the memoriall of them should not perish from their seede.
29 Unya si Ester nga reina, ang anak nga babaye ni Abihail, ug si Mardocheo ang Judio, mingsulat inubanan sa tanang pagbulot-an aron sa pagpamatuod niining ikaduhang sulat sa Purim.
And the Queene Ester ye daughter of Abihail and Mordecai the Iew wrote with al authoritie (to cofirme this letter of Purim ye second time)
30 Ug siya nagpadala ug mga sulat ngadto sa tanang mga Judio, ngadto sa usa ka gatus ug kaluhaan ug pito ka mga lalawigan sa gingharian ni Assuero, uban ang mga pulong sa pakigdait ug kamatuoran,
And he sent letters vnto al the Iewes to the hundreth and seuen and twentie prouinces of the kingdome of Ahashuerosh, with words of peace and trueth,
31 Aron sa pagpamatuod niining mga adlaw sa Purim sa ilang natudlo nga mga panahon, sumala sa gisugo kanila ni Mardocheo nga Judio ug ni Ester nga reina, ug sumala sa ilang gitukod sa ilang kaugalingon, ug sa ilang kaliwatan mahitungod sa ilang mga pagpuasa ug sa ilang pagtu-aw.
To confirme these dayes of Purim, according to their seasons, as Mordecai the Iewe and Ester the Queene had appointed them, and as they had promised for them selues and for their seede with fasting and prayer.
32 Ug ang sugo ni Ester nagpamatuod niining mga butanga sa Purim: ug kini nahisulat sa basahon.
And the decree of Ester confirmed these words of Purim, and was written in the booke.
