Ester 4
1 Ug sa nahibaloan ni Mardocheo ang tanan nga nabuhat, gigisi ni Mardocheo ang iyang mga bisti, ug nagbutang ug sako nga saput uban ang mga abo, ug miadto sa kinataliwad-an sa ciudad, ug mitu-aw sa usa ka hataas ug mapait nga paghilak.
When Mordecai ascertained all that had been done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth [strewed] with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and bitter cry;
2 Ug siya miadto bisan sa atubangan sa ganghaan sa hari: kay walay makasulod sa sulod sa ganghaan sa hari nga nagbisti sa sako nga saput.
And thus he came up to the front of the king's gate; for none dared to enter into the king's gate clothed with sackcloth.
3 Ug sa tagsatagsa ka lalawigan bisan asa mahiabut ang sugo sa hari ug ang iyang pagbulot-an, ditoy dakung kasubo taliwala sa mga Judio, ug panagpuasa, ug panaghilak, ug panagminatay, ug daghan ang mga nanghigda diha sa sako nga saput ug mga abo.
And in each and every province, in every place whither the king's decree and his law had reached, there was great mourning for the Jews, with fasting and weeping and wailing; and a sackcloth [strewed] with ashes became the bed of the great.
4 Ug ang mga kadalagahan ni Ester ug ang iyang mga sinaligan sa palacio nangadto ug gisuginlan siya niana; ug ang reina nagmasulob-on gayud kaayo; ug siya nagpadala ug bisti aron ipabisti kang Mardocheo, ug aron huboon ang iyang sako nga saput gikan kaniya; apan siya wala dumawat niini.
Then came the maidens of Esther with her chamberlains and told it her; and the queen was exceedingly terrified; and she sent garments to clothe Mordecai, and to remove his sackcloth from him, but he accepted them not.
5 Unya gitawag ni Ester si Atach, usa sa mga eunuco sa palacio sa hari, nga iyang gitudlo sa pag-alagad kaniya, ug gisugo siya sa pagpaadto kang Mardocheo, aron sa pagsusi kong unsa kini, ug ngano kini.
Then called Esther for Hatach, one of the king's chamberlains, whom he had appointed to attend upon her, and gave him a charge for Mordecai to know what this was, and why this was.
6 Busa si Atach miadto kang Mardocheo, ngadto sa halapad nga dapit sa ciudad, nga atubangan sa ganghaan sa hari.
So Hatach went forth to Mordecai unto the street of the city, which was before the king's gate.
7 Ug gisuginlan siya ni Mardocheo sa tanan nga nanghitabo kaniya, ug ang igo nga gidaghanon sa salapi nga gisaad ni Aman nga ibayad sa mga panudlangan sa bahandi sa hari tungod sa mga Judio, aron sa paglaglag kanila.
And Mordecai told him all that had happened unto him, and of the fixed sum of money which Haman had promised to weigh out into the treasuries of the king for the Jews, to destroy them.
8 Siya usab mihatag kaniya sa hulad sa sinulat sa sugo nga gihimo didto sa Susan aron sa paglaglag kanila, sa pagpakita niana kang Ester, ug sa pag-asoy niana kaniya, ug sa pagsugo kaniya nga siya moadto sa hari, aron sa paghangyo kaniya ug sa paghimo ug pangaliyupo sa atubangan niya alang sa iyang katawohan.
Also the copy of the writing of the law that had been given out in Shushan to destroy them he gave to him, to show it unto Esther, and to tell her [all], and to charge her that she should go in unto the king, and to make supplication unto him, and to present a request before him for her people.
9 Ug si Atach miabut ug iyang gisuginlan si Ester sa mga pulong ni Mardocheo.
And Hatach came and told Esther the words of Mordecai.
10 Unya si Ester namulong kang Atach, ug gihatagan siya ug usa ka mensaje kang Mardocheo, nga nagaingon:
And Esther said unto Hatach, and gave him a charge unto Mordecai,
11 Ang tanang mga alagad sa hari, ug ang katawohan sa mga lalawigan sa hari, nagpanghibalo, nga bisan kinsa nga lalake kun babaye nga moadto sa hari ngadto sa labing sulod nga sawang, nga wala tawga, adunay usa ka balaod alang kaniya, nga siya pagapatyon, gawas niadto nga kaniya ang hari magatunol sa bulawang cetro, nga siya mabuhi: apan ako wala matawag aron sa pag-adto sa hari sulod niining katloan ka adlaw.
All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, do know, that every one, whether man or woman, who should come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is but one law for him, to put him to death, except the one to whom the king should hold out the golden sceptre, for he will be suffered to live; but I have not been called to come in unto the king these thirty days.
12 Ug ilang gisugilon kang Mardocheo ang mga pulong ni Ester.
And they told Mordecai the words of Esther.
13 Unya si Mardocheo nagsugo kanila sa pagpatubag kang Ester: Ayaw paghunahuna sa imong kaugalingon nga ikaw makagawas dinhi sa balay sa hari, labaw pa sa tanang mga Judio.
Then said Mordecai to bring this answer back to Esther, Imagine not in thy soul to be able to escape in the king's house out of all the Jews.
14 Kay kong ikaw magahilum niining panahona, busa ang kagawasan ug kaluwasan makita sa mga Judio gikan sa laing dapit, apan ikaw ug ang balay sa imong amahan mangahanaw: ug kinsay nahibalo kong ikaw wala pa mahiabut sa gingharian sa maingon niini nga panahona?
For if thou do indeed maintain silence at this time, enlargement and deliverance will arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house will perish: and who knoweth whether thou hast not for a time like this attained to the royal dignity?
15 Unya si Ester misugo sa pagpatubag ngadto kang Mardocheo niining mga pulonga:
Then said Esther to bring this answer back to Mordecai,
16 Lakaw, tiguma ang tanang mga Judio nga anaa sa Susan, ug magpuasa kamo alang kanako, ug ayaw pagkaon ni mag-inum sulod sa totolo ka adlaw ug sa totolo ka gabii: Ako usab ug ang akong mga dalaga managpuasa sa maong pagkaagi; ug busa ako moadto sa hari, nga dili subay sa balaod: ug kong ako mamatay, mamatay ako.
Go, assemble together all the Jews who are now present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, so that ye neither eat nor drink three days, either night or day; also I myself with my maidens will fast in like manner; and then will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law; and if I then perish, I perish.
17 Busa si Mardocheo mipadayon sa iyang paglakat, ug naghimo sumala sa tanan nga gisugo kaniya ni Ester.
And Mordecai went about, and did in accordance with all that Esther had charged him.
