Amos 1
1 Ang mga pulong ni Amos, nga usa sa mga magbalantay sa panon sa kahayupan sa Tekoa, nga iyang nakita mahitungod sa Israel sa mga adlaw ni Uzzias, nga hari sa Juda, ug sa mga adlaw ni Jeroboam, ang anak nga lalake ni Joas, nga hari sa Israel, duha ka tuig sa wala pa ang linog.
The words of Amos, who was among herdsmen of Thecua: which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Ozias king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joas king of Israel two years before the earthquake.
2 Ug siya miingon: Si Jehova mopadahunog sa iyang tingog gikan sa Sion, ng mopagula sa iyang tingog gikan sa Jerusalem; ug ang mga sibsibanan sa mga magbalantay sa carnero managbangotan, ug ang kinatumyan sa Carmelo magamala.
And he said: The Lord will roar from Sion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem: and the beautiful places of the shepherds have mourned, and the top of Carmel is withered.
3 Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Damasco, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay gigiukan nila ang Galaad uban sa mga galamiton nga puthaw nga alang sa paggiuk;
Thus saith the Lord: For three crimes of Damascus, and for four I will not convert it: because they have thrashed Galaad with iron wains.
4 Apan padad-an ko sa kalayo ang balay ni Hasael, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio ni Ben-hadad.
And I will send a fire into the house of Azael, and it shall devour the houses of Benadad.
5 Ug pagabunggoon ko ang trangka sa Damasco, ug pagaputlon ko ang nagapuyo gikan sa walog sa Aven, ug siya nga nagahupot sa cetro pagalukahon ko gikan sa balay sa Eden; ug ang katawohan sa Siria mangabihag ngadto sa Chir, nagaingon si Jehova.
And I will break the bar of Damascus: and I will cut off the inhabitants from the plain of the idol, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of pleasure: and the people of Syria shall be carried away to Cyrene, saith the Lord.
6 Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Gaza, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay ilang gibihag ang tibook nga katawohan, aron sa pagtugyan kanila ngadto sa Edom.
Thus saith the Lord: For three crimes of Gaza, and for four I will not convert it: because they have carried away a perfect captivity to shut them up in Edom.
7 Apan ibabaw sa mga kuta sa Gaza ipadala ko ang kalayo, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio niana.
And I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, and it shall devour the houses thereof.
8 Ug pagaputlon ko ang nagapuyo gikan sa Asdod, ug siya nga nagahupot sa cetro pagalukahon ko gikan sa Askalon; ug bakyawon ko ang akong kamot batok sa Ecron; ug ang mga salin sa mga Filistehanon mangamatay, nagaingon ang Ginoong Jehova:
And I will cut off the inhabitant from Azotus, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ascalon: and I will turn my hand against Accaron, and the rest of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord God.
9 Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Tiro, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay ilang gitugyan ang tibook nga katawohan sa Edom, ug sila wala mahanumdum sa inigsoonayng pakigsaad sa panagsangga:
Thus saith the Lord: For three crimes of Tyre, and for four I will not convert it: because they have shut up an entire captivity in Edom, and have not remembered the covenant of brethren.
10 Apan ibabaw sa kuta sa Tiro ipadala ko ang kalayo, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio niana.
And I will send a fire upon the wall of Tyre, and it shall devour the houses thereof.
11 Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Edom, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay iyang gigukod uban sa pinuti ang iyang igsoon nga lalake, ug gisalikway ang tanang kalooy, ug ang iyang kasilag nagangutngot sa walay hunong, ug siya nagabaton sa iyang kaligutgut sa walay katapusan.
Thus saith the Lord: For three crimes of Edom, and for four I will not convert him: because he hath pursued his brother with the sword, and hath cast off all pity, and hath carried on his fury, and hath kept his wrath to the end.
12 Apan ibabaw sa Teman ipadala ko ang kalayo, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio sa Bosra.
I will send a fire into Theman: and it shall devour the houses of Bosra.
13 Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa mga anak sa Ammon, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay gipikaspikas nila ang mga babaye nga mabdos sa Galaad, aron lamang padakuon nila ang ilang utlanan:
Thus saith the Lord: For three crimes of the children of Ammon, and for four I will not convert him: because he hath ripped up the women with child of Galaad to enlarge his border.
14 Apan pasilauban ko sa kalayo ang kuta sa Rabba, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio niana, uban ang mga singgit sa adlaw sa gubat, uban ang bagyo sa panahon sa alimpulos.
And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabba: and it shall devour the houses thereof with shouting in the day of battle, and with a whirlwind in the day of trouble.
15 Ug ang ilang hari mabihag, siya ug ang iyang mga principe sa tingub, nagaingon si Jehova.
And Melchom shall go into captivity, both he, and his princes together, saith the Lord.
