Mga Buhat 5
1 Apan dihay usa ka tawo nga ginganlan si Ananias, nga uban sa iyang asawa nga si Safira, nagbaligyag katigayonan,
And a certain man, Ananias by name, with his wife Sapphira, sold a possession,
2 ug ang halin niini iyang gikuhaan nga nahibaloan sa iyang asawa, ug usa ra ka bahin ang iyang gidala ug gibutang sa tiilan sa mga apostoles.
and kept back of the price—his wife also knowing—and having brought a certain part, he laid [it] at the feet of the apostles.
3 Apan si Pedro miingon kaniya, "Ananias, naunsa bang giyawaan man pag-ayo ni Satanas ang imong kasingkasing aron imong bakakan ang Espiritu Santo ug imong kuhaan ang halin sa yuta?
And Peter said, “Ananias, why did Satan fill your heart, for you to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back of the price of the place?
4 Sa wala pa kini ikabaligya, dili ba kini imo mang kaugalingon? Ug sa gikabaligya na kini, dili ba imo man ang pagbuot kon unsay imong buhaton sa halin niini? Naunsa ba gayud nga imo mang gilaraw kining buhata sa sulod sa imong kasingkasing? Ang imong gibakakan dili tawo kondili ang Dios."
While it remained, did it not remain yours? And having been sold, was it not in your authority? Why [is] it that you put this thing in your heart? You did not lie to men, but to God”;
5 Ug sa pagkadungog ni Ananias niining mga pulonga, siya nahilukapa ug nabugtoan sa ginhawa. Ug giabut ug dakung kahadlok ang tanang nakadungog niini.
and Ananias hearing these words, having fallen down, expired, and great fear came on all who heard these things,
6 Ug ang mga batan-on nanindog ug ila siyang gilimisan ug giyayongan paingon sa gawas ug gilubong.
and having risen, the younger men wound him up, and having carried forth, they buried [him].
7 Ug sa mga tulo ka takna tapus niini, misulod ang iyang asawa nga wala mahibalo sa nahitabo.
And it came to pass, about three hours after, that his wife, not knowing what has happened, came in,
8 Ug si pedro miingon kaniya, "Tug-ani ako, mao ba kini ang bili sa pagbaligya ninyo sa yuta?" Ug siya mitubag, "Oo, mao kana ang bili."
and Peter answered her, “Tell me if for so much you sold the place”; and she said, “Yes, for so much.”
9 Ug si Pedro miingon kaniya, "Naunsa ba gayud nga nagkasabut man kamo sa pagtintal sa Espiritu sa Ginoo? Pamatii, anaa na sa pultahan ang mga tiil sa mga nanaglubong sa imong bana, ug ikaw pagayayongan usab nila paingon sa gawas."
And Peter said to her, “How was it agreed by you to tempt the Spirit of the LORD? Behold, the feet of those who buried your husband [are] at the door, and they will carry you forth”;
10 Ug dihadiha siya nahilukapa sa tiilan ni Pedro ug nabugtoan sa ginhawa. Ug sa pagsulod pa sa mga batan-on, ilang nakita siya nga patay na, ug siya ilang giyayongan paingon sa gawas ug gilubong tupad sa iyang bana.
and immediately she fell down at his feet, and expired, and the young men having come in, found her dead, and having carried forth, they buried [her] by her husband;
11 Ug giabut ug dakung kahadlok ang tibuok iglesia ug ang tanang nakadungog sa maong mga butang.
and great fear came on all the Assembly, and on all who heard these things.
12 Ug pinaagi sa kamot sa mga apostoles, daghan ang mga ilhanan ug mga kahibulongan nga nangahimo sa atubangan sa katawhan. Ug silang tanan didto magtiguman sa Portico ni Salomon.
And through the hands of the apostles came many signs and wonders among the people, and they were all with one accord in the porch of Solomon;
13 Ug walay bisan usa sa mga taga-gawas nga nangahas sa pag-ipon kanila, hinoon gitahud sila pag-ayo sa katawhan.
and of the rest no one was daring to join himself to them, but the people were magnifying them,
14 Ug misamot kadaghan ang mga magtotoo nga nahidugang sa Ginoo, mga panon sa mga lalaki ug sa mga babaye,
(and the more were believers added to the LORD, multitudes of both men and women),
15 nga tungod niana ila na gayud ganing gipangdala ang mga masakiton ngadto sa kadalanan, ug gibutang sa mga lantay ug mga higdaanan, basin na lang aduna kanilay mahilandungan sa anino ni Pedro inig-agi niya.
so as to bring forth the ailing into the broad places, and to lay [them] on beds and pallets, that at the coming of Peter, even [his] shadow might overshadow someone of them;
16 Ug gikan sa kalungsuran nga kasikbit sa Jerusalem nanugok usab ang mga panon sa mga tawo nga nanagdala sa mga masakiton ug mga gisakit sa mga mahugaw nga espiritu, ug silang tanan nangaayo.
and there were also coming together the people of the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, carrying ailing persons, and those harassed by unclean spirits—who were all healed.
17 Apan ang labawng sacerdote ug ang tanang kauban niya, nga mao ang pundok sa mga Saduceo, nanindog nga puno sa kasina,
And having risen, the chief priest, and all those with him—being the sect of the Sadducees—were filled with zeal,
18 ug ilang gidakop ang mga apostoles ug gibanlod sa bilanggoan sa lungsod.
and laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in a public prison;
19 Apan usa ka manolunda sa Ginoo miabli sa mga pultahan sa bilanggoan sa takna sa kagabhion, ug sila gipagula niya nga nag-ingon,
but through the night a messenger of the LORD opened the doors of the prison, having also brought them forth, he said,
20 "Pangadto kamo sa sulod sa templo ug pangatubang kamo sa mga tawo ug isulti ninyo ang tanang pulong mahitungod niining maong Kinabuhi."
“Go on, and standing, speak in the temple to the people all the sayings of this life”;
21 Ug sa pagkadungog nila niini, sila nangadto sa templo sa pagkabuntag ug nagpanudlo.
and having heard, they entered into the temple at the dawn, and were teaching. And the chief priest having come, and those with him, they called together the Sanhedrin and all the Senate of the sons of Israel, and they sent to the prison to have them brought,
22 Apan sa pag-abut didto sa mga polis, wala sila makakaplag kanila sa bilanggoan ug namalik sila ug misugilon nga nanag-ingon,
and the officers having come, did not find them in the prison, and having turned back, they told,
23 "Nakita namo ang bilanggoan nga maayo gayud nga pagkasira, ug ang mga bantay nanagtindog sa mga pultahan; apan sa amo nang pag-abli niini, walay tawo nga among nakaplagan sa sulod."
saying, “We indeed found the prison shut in all safety, and the keepers standing outside before the doors, and having opened—we found no one within.”
24 Ug sa pagkadungog nila niining mga pulonga, ang kapitan sa templo ug ang mga sacerdote nga punoan nangalibog pag-ayo mahitungod kanila, kon maunsa na kaha kini.
And as the priest, and the magistrate of the temple, and the chief priests, heard these words, they were doubting concerning them to what this would come;
25 Ug dihay miabut nga nagsugilon kanila, "Tan-awa, ang mga tawo nga inyong gibanlod sa bilanggoan anaa ra nanagtindog sa templo ug nanudlo sa katawhan."
and coming near, a certain one told them, saying, “Behold, the men whom you put in the prison are in the temple standing and teaching the people”;
26 Inubanan sa mga polis, ang kapitan miadto sa pagkuha kanila, sa wala hinooy pagpugos, kay nahadlok man sila nga tingali unyag batoon sila sa katawhan.
then the magistrate having gone away with officers, brought them without violence, for they were fearing the people, lest they should be stoned;
27 Ug sa ila nang nadala sila, ilang gipaatubang sila sa Sanhedrin. Ug nangutana kanila ang labawng sacerdote,
and having brought them, they set [them] in the Sanhedrin, and the chief priest questioned them,
28 nga nag-ingon, "Dili ba amo man kamong gipinahan pag-ayo sa dili pagpanudlo pinasikad niining ngalana? Apan tan-awa, ang Jerusalem gilukop ninyo sa inyong tuloohan, ug ginatinguha ninyo nga kapanilngan kami sa dugo niining tawhana."
saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this Name? And behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring on us the blood of this Man.”
29 Apan si Pedro ug ang mga apostoles mitubag nga nag-ingon, "Kinahanglan maoy among unahon pagsugot ang Dios inay ang mga tawo.
And Peter and the apostles answering, said, “It is required to obey God, rather than men;
30 Ang Dios sa atong mga ginikanan mao ang nagpatindog kang Jesus nga inyong gipatay pinaagi sa pagbitay kaniya sa kahoy.
and the God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you slew, having hanged on a tree;
31 Ang Dios mao ang nagtuboy kaniya ngadto sa iyang too ingon nga Principe ug Manluluwas, aron ang Israel maghinulsol ug kahatagan sa kapasayloan sa mga sala.
this One, God, a Prince and a Savior, has exalted with His right hand, to give conversion to Israel, and forgiveness of sins;
32 Ug kami maoy mga saksi niining mga butanga, ug maingon man ang Espiritu Santo nga gihatag sa Dios kanila nga mga nagasugot kaniya."
and we are His witnesses of these sayings, and the Holy Spirit also, whom God gave to those obeying Him.”
33 Ug sa pagkadungog nila niini, sila nanaglagot ug naninguha sa pagpatay kanila.
And they having heard, were cut [to the heart], and were intending to slay them,
34 Apan usa ka Fariseo sa Sanhedrin, nga ginganlan si Gamaliel, magtutudlo sa balaod ug tinahud sa tanang katawhan, mitindog ug misugo nga pagulaon unag makadiyot ang mga apostoles.
but a certain one, having risen up in the Sanhedrin—a Pharisee, by name Gamaliel, a teacher of law honored by all the people—commanded to put the apostles forth a little,
35 Ug unya miingon siya kanila, "Mga Israelinhon, magbantay kamo sa inyong buot pagabuhaton niining mga tawhana.
and said to them, “Men, Israelites, take heed to yourselves about these men, what you are about to do,
36 Kay sa unang mga adlaw si Teudas mitungha nga nagpadakudaku sa iyang kaugalingon, ug kaniya midapig ang mga upat ka gatus ka tawo; apan kini siya gipatay, ug ang tanang misunod kaniya nanghitibulaag ug nangahanaw.
for before these days Theudas rose up, saying that he was someone, to whom a number of men joined themselves, as it were four hundred, who was slain, and all, as many as were obeying him, were scattered, and came to nothing.
37 Sunod niini si Judas nga Galileanhon mitungha sa mga adlaw sa pagpanglista, ug iyang gipasalaag ang pipila sa mga tawo ngadto kaniya; siya usab nalaglag, ug nanghitibulaag ang tanang misunod kaniya.
After this one, Judas the Galilean rose up, in the days of the census, and drew away people after him, and that one perished, and all, as many as were obeying him, were scattered;
38 Ug labut niini karon, sultihan ko kamo, ayaw ninyo paghilabti kining mga tawhana ug pasagdi lamang sila; kay kon kining larawa o kining paningkamota iya ra man ugaling sa tawo, nan kini mapakyas gayud;
and now I say to you, refrain from these men, and leave them alone, because if this counsel or this work may be of men, it will be overthrown,
39 apan kon kini iya man sa Dios, dili gayud kamo arang makapugong niini. Tingali baya hinoon makaplagan kamo nga nakig-away diay batok sa Dios!"
and if it be of God, you are not able to overthrow it, lest perhaps you are also found fighting against God.”
40 Ug sila nagpatoo kaniya, ug sa natawag na nila ang mga apostoles kini ilang gipanaghampak ug gipinahan sa dili na gayud pagsulti pinasikad sa ngalan ni Jesus, ug ilang gibuhian sila.
And to him they agreed, and having called near the apostles, having beaten [them], they commanded [them] not to speak in the Name of Jesus, and let them go;
41 Ug gikan sa atubangan sa Sanhedrin sila namahawa, mga malipayon nga giisip sila nga angayan diayng pakaulawan tungod sa iyang ngalan.
they, indeed, then, departed from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that for His Name they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor,
42 Ug sa tanang adlaw, sa templo ug sa binalaybalay, sila wala mag-undang sa pagpanudlo ug sa pagwali nga si Jesus mao ang Cristo.
also every day in the temple, and in every house, they were not ceasing teaching and proclaiming good news—Jesus the Christ.
