1 Ug si Eliseo miingon: Patalinghugi ninyo ang pulong ni Jehova: Kini mao ang giingon ni Jehova: Ugma ingon niining taknaa igabaligya ang usa ka takus nga harina nga fino sa usa ka siclo, ug ang duha ka takus nga cebada sa usa ka siclo, sa ganghaan sa Samaria.

Then said Elisha—Hear ye the word of Yahweh, —Thus, saith Yahweh—About this time to-morrow, a measure of fine meal for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

2 Unya ang capitan kang kinsang kamot maoy gisaligan sa hari mitubag sa tawo sa Dios, ug miingon: Ania karon, kong si Jehova maghimo sa mga tamboanan sa langit, mahanabo kaha kining butanga? Ug siya miingon: Ania karon, ikaw makakita niana sa imong mga mata, apan dili ka makakaon niana.

Then the officer on whose hand the king leaned responded to the man of God, and said, Even if Yahweh were making windows in the heavens, could this thing, come to pass? And he said—Lo! thou, art about to see it with thine own eyes, but, thereof, shalt thou not eat!

3 Karon dihay upat ka tawong sanlahon sa tugkaran sa ganghaan, ug sila nanag-ingon sa usa ug usa: Nganong naglingkod kita dinhi hangtud nga kita mangamatay?

Now there were, four men, lepers, at the entrance of the gate, —and they said one to another—Why are, we, sitting here until we are dead?

4 Kong kita umingon: Mosulod kita ngadto sa ciudad, nan ang gutom atua sa ciudad, ug kita mangamatay didto; ug kong kita manlingkod pa dinhi, mangamatay kita usab. Busa karon manlakat, ug mangadto kita ngadto sa panon sa mga Sirianhon: kong luwason kita nila nga buhi, mangabuhi kita; ug kong patyon kita nila, kita mangamatay lamang.

If we say—Let us enter into the city, Then, the famine, is in the city, and we shall die there, and, if we remain here, then shall we die. Now, therefore, let us fall away unto the camp of the Syrians, if they save us alive, we shall live, and, if they put us to death, we shall die.

5 Ug sila nanindog sa pagkabanag-banag, aron sa pag-adto ngadto sa campo sa mga Sirianhon; ug sa paghiabut nila ngadto sa kinatumyan nga dapit sa campo sa mga Sirianhon: Ania karon, walay tawo didto.

So they rose up in the twilight, to enter into the camp of the Syrians, —and, when they entered the outskirts of the camp of the Syrians, lo! there was not there, a man.

6 Kay ang Ginoo naghimo sa panon sa mga Sirianhon sa pagpamati sa dinahunog sa mga carro, ug usa ka kaguliyang sa mga kabayo, ang usa ka dinaguok sa dakung panon: ug sila nanag-ingon sa usa ug usa: Ania karon, ang hari sa Israel nagsuhol batok kanato sa mga hari sa mga Hetehanon, ug sa mga hari sa mga taga-Egipto, sa pag-asdang kanato.

Now, the Lord, had caused the camp of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, noise of horses, a noise of a great host, —and they said one to another—Lo! the king of Israel hath hired against us—the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come against us.

7 Maoy hinungdan nga sila namangon ug nangalagiw sa pagkabanagbanag, ug gibiyaan ang ilang mga balong-balong, ug ang ilang mga kabayo, ug ang ilang mga asno, bisan pa ang campo sa maong kahimtang, ug nangalagiw tungod sa ilang kinabuhi.

So they arose, and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, —the camp, just as it was, —and fled for their lives.

8 Ug sa paghiabut niining mga sanlahon ngadto sa kinatumyan nga dapit sa campo, nanulod sila sa usa ka balong-balong, ug nangaon ug nanginum, ug nanagdala gikan didto sa salapi ug bulawan, ug saput, ug nanglakaw ug gitipigan kini; ug sila nanibug, ug mingsulod sa laing balong-balong, ug nakadala gikan didto usab, ug nanglakaw ug gitipigan kini.

When, therefore, these lepers came in as far as the outskirts of the camp, they entered into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried from thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went away and hid them, —and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried from thence—and went and hid them.

9 Busa sila nanag-ingon sa usa ug usa: Kita wala magbuhat sa maayo; kining adlawa maoy usa ka adlaw sa mga maayong balita, ug managhilum kita: kong pabilin kita hangtud sa pagbanagbanag sa kabuntagon ang silot mahiapas kanato; busa umari kamo karon, mangadto kita ug magasugilon sa sulod-balay sa hari.

Then said they one to another—Not a right thing, are, we, doing. This day, is, a day of good tidings, and, we, are holding our peace, if we tarry until the light of the morning, there will come upon us, some misfortune, —Now, therefore, come and let us go in, and tell the household of the king.

10 Busa sila nangadto ug nanagtawag sa magbalantay sa ciudad, ug ilang gisuginlan sila, sa pag-ingon: Nanghiadto kami ngadto sa campo sa mga Sirianhon, ug ania karon, walay tawo didto, bisan tingog sa usa ka tawo, apan ang mga kabayo gipanghigot, ug ang mga asno gipanghigot, ug ang mga balong-balong mao sa gihapon.

So they came in and called unto the gate of the city, and told them, saying, We entered into the camp of the Syrians, and lo! there was not there, a man, nor sound of human being, —only horses tied, and asses tied, and their tents, just as they were!

11 Ug siya nagtawag sa mga magbalantay sa ganghaan: ug sila nanagsugilon niana sa sulod sa balay sa hari.

And the watchers of the gate called and told it to the household of the king, within.

12 Ug ang hari mibangon sa pagkagabii, ug namulong sa iyang mga sulogoon: Ako karon magapakita kaninyo sa ginabuhat kanato sa mga Sirianhon. Sila nahibalo nga kita gigutom; busa nanghigula sila sa campo aron sa pagtago sa ilang kaugalingon diha sa kapatagan, nga nagaingon: Sa ilang paggula sa ciudad, dakpon ta sila nga buhi, ug manulod kita ngadto sa, ciudad.

Then arose the king by night, and said unto his servants, Let me tell you, I pray you, what the Syrians have done to us, —they knew that we were, famished, so they have gone forth out of the camp, to hide in the field, saying, When they come forth out of the city, then shall we take them alive, and, into the city, will we enter.

13 Ug usa sa iyang mga sulogoon mitubag ug miingon: Pakuhaa ang uban, nangaliyupo ako kanimo, lima sa mga kabayo nga nahibilin, sa ciudad (ania karon, sila sama sa gidaghanon sa tanang panon sa Israel nga nanghibilin didto; ania karon, silal sama sa gidaghanon sa tanang panon sa Israel nga naut-ut); ug atong pasugoan ug tanawon.

Then responded one of his servants, and said—Let there be taken, I pray thee, five of the horses that remain, which have been left therein, there they are, according to all the multitude of Israel who have been left therein, there they are, according to all the multitude of Israel, who have been consumed, —and let us send and see!

14 Busa duha ka carro lakip ang mga kabayo ang ilang gikuha; ug nagpasugo ang hari sa panon sa mga Sirianhon, nga nagaingon: Adtoa ug tan-awa.

So they took two chariots and horses, —and the king sent after the host of the Syrians, saying, Go and see!

15 Ug sila nangadto sunod kanila ngadto sa Jordan; ug, ania karon, ang tanang dalan nalukop sa mga panapton ug mga sudlanan nga gipanalibay sa mga Sirianhon sa ilang pagdali. Ug ang mga sulogoon nanibug ug gisuginlan ang hari.

And they followed them as far as the Jordan, and lo! all the way, was full of garments, and utensils, which the Syrians had cast away in their fright, —and the messengers returned, and told the king.

16 Ug ang katawohan nanggula, ug gikawatan ang campo sa mga Sirianhon. Busa usa ka takus nga fino nga harina gibaligya sa usa ka siclo, ug duha ka takus sa cebada usa ka siclo, sumala sa pulong ni Jehova.

Then went the people forth and spoiled the camp of the Syrians, —and so there came to be—a measure of fine meal for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of Yahweh.

17 Ug gitudlo sa hari ang capitan kang kinsang kamot iyang gisaligan nga magbantay kaniya sa ganghaan: ug ang katawohan nanagtunob kaniya diha sa ganghaan, ug siya namatay sumala sa gipamulong sa tawo sa Dios, nga namulong sa paghiadto niya sa hari.

Now, the king, had set the officer on whose hand he leaned, in charge over the gate, and the people trode upon him in the gate, that he died, —as spake the man of God, who said it when the messenger came down to him.

18 Ug nahitabo, sa nakasulti ang tawo sa Dios sa hari, nga nagaingon: Duha ka takus nga cebada sa usa ka siclo, ug usa ka takus nga binokbok sa usa ka siclo, manghiugma ingon niining taknaa sa ganghaan sa Samaria:

Yea it came to pass, as the man of God had spoken unto the messenger, saying, —Two measures of barley for a shekel, and a measure of fine meal for a shekel, shall there be about this time to-morrow, in the gate of Samaria:

19 Ug ang maong capitan mitubag sa tawo sa Dios, ug miingon: Karon, Tan-awa, kong si Jehova magahimo sa mga tamboanan sa langit, mahimo ba kaha kining butanga? Ug siya miingon: Ania karon, ikaw makakita niana sa imong mga mata, apan dili ka makakaon niini:

And when the officer responded to the man of God, and said, Lo! then, if Yahweh were making windows in the heavens, could it be according to this word? And he said, —Lo! thou art about to see it with thine own eyes, but, thereof, shalt thou not eat.

20 Mao kini ang nahitabo kaniya; kay gitamakan siya sa katawohan didto sa ganghaan, ug siya namatay.

Yea it fell out to him, thus, —and the people trode upon him in the gate, that he died.
