1 Sa iyang mga adlaw si Nabucodonosor, nga hari sa Babilonia, mitungas, ug si Joacim nahimo nga iyang alagad sa tolo ka tuig: unya siya misumbalik ug mialsa batok kaniya.
In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
2 Ug si Jehova nagpadala batok kaniya ug mga panon sa mga Caldeahanon, ug mga panon sa mga Sirianhon, ug mga panon sa mga Moabnon, ug mga panon sa mga anak sa Ammon, ug gipadala sila batok sa Juda, aron laglagon kini, sumala sa pulong ni Jehova, nga iyang gipamulong pinaagi sa iyang mga alagad, nga mga manalagna.
And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldeans, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by the hand of his servants the prophets.
3 Sa pagkamatuod, sumala sa sugo ni Jehova, kini midangat sa Juda, aron sa pagpapahawa kanila gikan sa iyang panan-aw tungod sa sala ni Manases, sumala sa tanan nga iyang gihimo,
Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
4 Ug tungod usab sa dugo sa mga inocente nga iyang giula; kay iyang gipuno ang Jerusalem sa dugo sa mga inocente: ug si Jehova wala mobuot sa pagpasaylo.
and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood: and the LORD would not pardon.
5 Karon ang nahibilin sa mga buhat ni Joacim, ug ang tanan niyang gihimo, wala ba sila mahisulat sa basahon sa mga Cronicas sa mga hari sa Juda?
Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
6 Busa si Joacim, natulog uban sa iyang mga amahan: ug si Joachin nga iyang anak nga lalake naghari ilis kaniya.
So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
7 Ug ang hari sa Egipto wala na mogula sa iyang yuta pag-usab; kay nakuha sa hari sa Babilonia sukad sa sapa sa Egipto ngadto sa suba sa Eufrates, ang tanan nga iya sa hari sa Egipto.
And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken, from the brook of Egypt unto the river Euphrates, all that pertained to the king of Egypt.
8 Si Joachin may napulo ug walo ka tuig ang panuigon sa pagsugod niya paghari; ug siya naghari sulod sa totolo ka bulan didto sa Jerusalem: ug ang ngalan sa iyang inahan mao si Neusta ang anak nga babaye ni Elnathan sa Jerusalem.
Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned in Jerusalem three months: and his mother’s name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
9 Ug gibuhat niya ang dautan sa panan-aw ni Jehova, sumala sa tanan nga gibuhat sa iyang amahan.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.
10 Niadtong panahona ang mga alagad ni Nabucodonosor, nga hari sa Babilonia mitungas sa Jerusalem, ug gilibutan ang ciudad.
At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up to Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
11 Ug si Nabucodonosor hari sa Babilonia, miadto sa ciudad, samtang nagalibut pa niana ang iyang mga alagad.
And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came unto the city, while his servants were besieging it;
12 Ug si Joachin, nga hari sa Juda, miadto sa hari sa Babilonia, siya, ug ang iyang inahan, ug ang iyang mga alagad, ug ang iyang mga principe, ug ang iyang mga punoan: ug siya gidakup sa hari sa Babilonia sa ikawalo ka tuig sa iyang paghari.
and Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
13 Ug iyang gidala gikan didto ang tanan nga mga bahandi sa balay ni Jehova, ug ang mga bahandi sa balay sa hari, ug gipanugmok ang tanan nga mga sudlanan nga bulawan, nga gihimo ni Salomon, ang hari sa Israel sa templo ni Jehova, sumala sa giingon ni Jehova.
And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king’s house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.
14 Ug iyang gibihag ang tibook Jerusalem, ug ang tanan nga mga principe, ug ang tanan nga mga gamhanang tawo sa kaisug, bisan ang napulo ka libo ka mga binihag, ug ang tanan nga mga batid sa bulohaton, ug ang mga panday sa puthaw; walay nahibilin, gawas ang labing kabus sa mga tawo sa yuta.
And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths; none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
15 Ug iyang gidala ngadto sa Babilonia si Joachin; ug ang inahan sa hari, ug ang mga asawa sa hari, ug ang iyang mga punoan, ug ang mga kadagkuan sa mga tawo sa yuta, iyang gidala nga binihag gikan sa Jerusalem ngadto sa Babilonia.
And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon; and the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his officers, and the chief men of the land, carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16 Ug ang tanang mga tawo sa gahum, may pito ka libo, ug ang mga batid sa bulohaton, ug ang mga panday sa puthaw, usa ka libo; silang tanan mabaskug ug maabtik sa gubat, bisan kanila ang hari sa Babilonia nagdala nga binihag ngadto sa Babilonia.
And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths a thousand, all of them strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
17 Ug ang hari sa Babilonia naghimo nga hari ilis kang Joachin kang Mathanias igsoon sa iyang amahan, ug giilisan ang ngalan niya sa ngalang Sedecias.
And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father’s brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
18 Si Sedecias may kaluhaan ug usa ka tuig ang panuigon sa pagsugod niya sa paghari; ug siya naghari sa napulo ug usa ka tuig sa Jerusalem; ug ang ngalan sa iyang inahan mao si Amutal anak nga babaye ni Jeremias sa Libna.
Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
19 Ug gibuhat niya ang dautan sa panan-aw ni Jehova, sumala sa tanan nga gibuhat ni Joachin.
And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
20 Kay tungod sa kasuko ni Jehova nahitabo kini sa Jerusalem ug sa Juda, hangtud nga iyang gipapahawa sila gikan sa iyang atubangan. Ug si Sedecias mialsa batok sa hari sa Babilonia.
For through the anger of the LORD did it come to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence: and Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
