1 Sa ikaduhang tuig ni Joas ang anak nga lalake ni Joachaz nga hari sa Israel nagsugod si Amasias ang anak nga lalake ni Joas sa paghari sa Juda.

The second yeere of Ioash sonne of Iehoahaz King of Israel reigned Amaziah the sonne of Ioash King of Iudah.

2 Siya may kaluhaan ug lima ang panuigon sa pagsugod niya sa paghari; ug siya naghari kaluhaan ug siyam ka tuig sa Jerusalem: ug ang ngalan sa iyang inahan mao si Joadan taga-Jerusalem.

He was fiue and twentie yeere olde when he began to reigne, and reigned nine and twentie yeere in Ierusalem, and his mothers name was Iehoadan of Ierusalem.

3 Ug iyang gihimo ang matarung sa mga mata ni Jehova, apan dili sama kang David nga iyang amahan: siya naghimo sumala sa gihimo sa iyang amahan nga si Joas.

And he did vprightly in the sight of the Lord, yet not like Dauid his father, but did according to all that Ioash his father had done.

4 Apan ang hatag-as nga mga dapit wala kuha-a: ang katawohan nanaghalad pa ug nanagsunog sa incienso sa mga hatag-as nga dapit.

Notwithstanding the hie places were not taken away: for as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense in the hie places.

5 Ug nahitabo, sa diha nga ang gingharian nalig-on diha sa iyang kamot, nga iyang gipamatay ang iyang mga alagad nga mingpatay sa hari nga iyang amahan:

And when the kingdome was confirmed in his hand, he slewe his seruants which had killed the King his father.

6 Apan ang mga anak sa mamumuno wala niya patya; sumala sa nahisulat sa basahon sa kasugoan ni Moises ingon sa gisugo ni Jehova nga nagaingon: Ang mga amahan dili pagapatyon tungod sa mga anak, ni ang mga anak pagapatyon tungod sa mga amahan; apan ang tagsatagsa ka tawo mamatay tungod sa iyang kaugalingong sala.

But the children of those that did slay him, he slewe not, according vnto that that is written in the booke of the Lawe of Moses, wherein the Lord commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children put to death for the fathers: but euery man shall be put to death for his owne sinne.

7 Napulo ka libo ang iyang gipamatay sa Edom sa Walog sa Asin, ug giilog ang Sela pinaagi sa paggubat, ug gitawag ang ngalan niana nga Jocteel, hangtud niining adlawa.

He slew also of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and tooke the citie of Sela by warre, and called the name thereof Ioktheel vnto this day.

8 Unya si Amasias nagpadala sa mga sulogoon ngadto kang Joas, ang anak nga lalake ni Joachaz nga anak nga lalake ni Jehu, hari sa Israel, nga nagaingon: Umari ka, magtan-away kita sa nawong ug nawong.

Then Amaziah sent messengers to Iehoash the sonne of Iehoahaz, sonne of Iehu King of Israel, saying, Come, let vs see one another in the face.

9 Ug si Joas ang hari sa Israel nagpaadto kang Amasias nga hari sa Juda, nga nagaingon: Ang tunok nga didto sa Libano gipadala ngadto sa cedro nga didto sa Libano, nga nagaingon: Ipaasawa ang imong anak nga babaye sa akong anak nga lalake: ug didtoy miagi nga usa ka ihalas nga mananap nga didto sa Libano, ug gitumban ang tunok.

Then Iehoash the King of Israel sent to Amaziah King of Iudah, saying, The thistle that is in Lebanon, sent to the cedar that is in Lebanon, saying, Giue thy daughter to my sonne to wife: and the wilde beast that was in Lebanon, went and trode downe the thistle.

10 Sa pagkatinuod gidaug mo gayud ang Edom, ug ikaw gibayaw sa imong kasingkasing: paghimaya niini ug pagpuyo sa balay; kay nganong manghilabut ikaw alang sa imong kadaut, aron ikaw mapukan, bisan ikaw ug ang Juda uban kanimo?

Because thou hast smitten Edom, thine heart hath made thee proud: bragge of glory, and tary at home. why doest thou prouoke to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall, and Iudah with thee?

11 Apan si Amasias wala mamati. Busa si Joas ang hari sa Israel mitungas; ug siya ug si Amasias hari sa Juda, nanagtinan-away sa nawong ug nawong didto sa Beth-semes, nga sakup sa Juda.

But Amaziah would not heare: therefore Iehoash King of Israel went vp: and he and Amaziah King of Iudah sawe one another in the face at Beth-shemesh which is in Iudah.

12 Ug and Juda gidaug sa atubangan sa Israel; ug ang tagsatagsa ka tawo mikalagiw ngadto sa iyang balong-balong.

And Iudah was put to the worse before Israel, and they fledde euery man to their tents.

13 Ug gikuha ni Joas nga hari sa Israel si Amasias nga hari sa Juda, ang anak nga lalake ni Joas ang anak nga lalake ni Ochozias, didto sa Beth-semes, ug miadto sa Jerusalem, ug gigun-ob ang kuta sa Jerusalem sukad sa ganghaan sa Ephraim ngadto sa likoanan nga ganghaan, upat ka gatus ka maniko.

But Iehoash King of Israel tooke Amaziah King of Iudah, the sonne of Iehoash the sonne of Ahaziah, at Beth-shemesh, and came to Ierusalem, and brake downe the wall of Ierusalem from the gate of Ephraim to the corner gate, foure hundreth cubites.

14 Ug iyang gikuha ang tanang bulawan ug salapi, ug ang tanan nga mga sudlanan nga nakaplagan sulod sa balay ni Jehova, ug diha sa mga bahandi sa balay sa hari, ug ang mga tawo nga gihimong pasalig, ug mibalik ngadto sa Samaria.

And he tooke all the gold and siluer, and all the vessels that were found in the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the Kings house, and the children that were in hostage, and returned to Samaria.

15 Karon ang nahibilin nga mga buhat ni Joas nga iyang gihimo, ug ang iyang gahum, ug giunsa niya sa pagpakig-away batok kang Amasias nga hari sa Juda, wala ba sila mahisulat sa basahon sa mga Cronicas sa mga hari sa Israel?

Concerning the rest of the acts of Iehoash which he did and his valiant deedes, and how he fought with Amaziah King of Iudah, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

16 Ug si Joas natulog uban sa iyang mga amahan, ug gilubong siya sa Samaria uban sa mga hari sa Israel; ug si Jeroboam nga iyang anak nga lalake naghari ilis kaniya.

And Iehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried at Samaria among the Kings of Israel: and Ieroboam his sonne reigned in his stead.

17 Ug si Amasias ang anak nga lalake ni Joas nga hari sa Juda nagpuyo sa tapus ang kamatayon ni Joas ang anak nga lalake ni Joachaz nga hari sa Israel sa napulo ug lima ka tuig.

And Amaziah the sonne of Ioash King of Iudah, liued after the death of Iehoash sonne of Iehoahaz King of Israel fifteene yeere.

18 Karon ang nahabilin nga mga buhat ni Amasias, wala ba sila mahisulat sa mga basahon sa mga Cronicas sa mga hari sa Juda?

Concerning the rest of the actes of Amaziah, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

19 Ug sila naghimo ug usa ka paglipot batok kaniya sa Jerusalem; ug siya mikalagiw ngadto sa Lachis: apan ilang gipaagpas siya ngadto sa Lachis, ug gipatay siya didto.

But they wrought treason against him in Ierusalem, and he fled to Lachish, but they sent after him to Lachish, and slewe him there.

20 Ug siya gitungtong nila sa mga kabayo; ug siya gilubong sa Jerusalem uban sa iyang mga amahan sa ciudad ni David.

And they brought him on horses, and he was buried at Ierusalem with his fathers in the citie of Dauid.

21 Ug gikuha sa tibook katawohan sa Juda si Asarias, nga napulo ug unom ka tuig ang panuigon, ug gihimo siya nga hari sa gingharian ilis sa iyang amahan nga si Amasias.

Then all the people of Iudah tooke Azariah which was sixteene yeere olde, and made him King for his father Amaziah.

22 Iyang gitukod ang Elath ug giuli kini sa Juda, sa tapus nga ang hari natulog uban sa iyang mga amahan.

He built Elath, and restored it to Iudah, after that the King slept with his fathers.

23 Sa ikanapulo ug lima ka tuig ni Amasias ang anak nga lalake ni Joas ang hari sa Juda, si Jeroboam ang anak nga lalake ni Joas nga hari sa Israel nagsugod sa paghari sa Samaria, ug naghari sa kap-atan ug usa ka tuig.

In the fifteenth yeere of Amaziah the sonne of Ioash King of Iudah, was Ieroboam the sonne of Ioash made King ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned one and fourtie yeere.

24 Ug gibuhat niya ang dautan sa mga mata ni Jehova: siya wala mobulag sa tanang sala si Jeroboam, ang anak nga lalake ni Nabat, diin gihimo niya ang Israel sa pagpakasala.

And he did euill in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from all the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

25 Iyang giuli ang utlanan sa Israel sukad sa pagsulod mo sa Amath ngadto sa dagat sa Araba, sumala sa pulong ni Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel, nga iyang gipamulong pinaagi sa iyang alagad nga si Jonas ang anak nga lalake ni Amitay ang manalagna, nga didto sa Gath-heper.

He restored the coast of Israel, from the entring of Hamath, vnto the Sea of the wildernesse, according to the worde of the Lord God of Israel, which he spake by his seruant Ionah the sonne of Amittai the Prophet, which was of Gath Hepher.

26 Kay nakita ni Jehova ang kasakit sa Israel, nga kadto mapait sa hilabihan; kay walay natakpan, ni nahibilin sa gawas, walay bisan kinsa nga magtatabang sa Israel.

For the Lord saw the exceeding bitter affliction of Israel, so that there was none shutte vp, nor any left, neyther yet any that could helpe Israel.

27 Ug si Jehova wala moingon nga iyang papason ang ngalan sa Israel sa ilalum sa langit; apan iyang giluwas sila pinaagi sa kamot ni Jeroboam, ang anak nga lalake ni Joas.

Yet the Lord had not decreed to put out the name of Israel from vnder the heauen: therefore he preserued them by the hand of Ieroboam the sonne of Ioash.

28 Karon ang nahabilin nga buhat ni Jeroboam, ug ang tanan nga iyang gihimo, ug ang iyang gahum, giunsa niya pagpakiggubat, ug giunsa niya pagbawi ang Damasco, ug ang Amath, nga nahisakup sa Juda, alang sa Israel, wala ba sila mahisulat sa basahon sa mga Cronicas sa mga hari sa Israel?

Concerning the rest of the actes of Ieroboam, and all that he did, and his valiant deedes, and how he fought, and how he restored Damascus, and Hamath to Iudah in Israel, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

29 Ug si Jeroboam natulog uban sa iyang mga amahan, bisan pa uban sa mga hari sa Israel; ug si Zacarias nga iyang anak nga lalake naghari ilis kaniya.

So Ieroboam slept with his fathers, euen with the Kings of Israel, and Zachariah his sonne reigned in his steade.
