1 Sa ikakaluhaan ug tolo ka tuig ni Joas ang anak nga lalake ni Ochozias hari sa Juda, si Joachaz ang anak nga lalake ni Jehu nagsugod sa paghari sa Israel didto sa Samaria, ug naghari sa napulo ug pito ka tuig.

In the three and twentieth yeere of Ioash the sonne of Ahaziah King of Iudah, Iehoahaz the sonne of Iehu began to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and he reigned seuenteene yeere.

2 Ug siya naghimo sa dautan sa mga mata ni Jehova, ug misunod sa mga sala ni Jeroboam ang anak nga lalake ni Nabat, diin gihimo niya ang Israel sa pagpakasala; siya wala bumulag niini.

And he did euil in the sight of the Lord, and followed the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne, and departed not therefrom.

3 Ug ang kasuko ni Jehova misilaub batok sa Israel, ug iyang gitugyan sila ngadto sa kamot ni Hazael nga hari sa Siria, ug ngadto sa kamot ni Ben-adad ang anak nga lalake ni Hazael, sa kanunay.

And the Lord was angry with Israel, and deliuered them into the hand of Hazael King of Aram, and into the hand of Ben-hadad the sonne of Hazael, all his dayes.

4 Ug si Joachaz nagpakilooy kang Jehova, ug si Jehova namati kaniya; kay nakita niya ang paglupig kang Israel, giunsa sila sa paglupig sa hari sa Siria.

And Iehoahaz besought the Lord, and the Lord heard him: for he saw the trouble of Israel, wherewith the King of Aram troubled them.

5 (Ug gihatagan ni Jehova ang Israel ug usa ka manluluwas, busa sila nakagawas gikan sa kamot sa mga Sirianhon; ug ang mga anak sa Israel nanagpuyo sa ilang mga balong-balong sama sa unang panahon.

(And the Lord gaue Israel a deliuerer, so that they came out from vnder the subiection of the Aramites. And the children of Israel dwelt in their tents as before time.

6 Bisan pa niana sila wala bumulag sa mga sala sa balay ni Jeroboam, diin gihimo niya ang Israel sa pagpakasala, apan nagpadayon niini: ug didto nahibilin ang Ashera usab sa Samaria).

Neuerthelesse they departed not from the sinnes of the house of Ieroboam which made Israel sinne, but walked in them. euen the groue also remayned still in Samaria)

7 Kay siya walay gibilin kang Joachaz sa katawohan gawas sa kalim-an nga magkakabayo, ug napulo ka carro, ug napulo ka libo nga mga sundalo nga maglalakat; kay sila gilaglag sa hari sa Siria, ug gihimo sila sama sa abug sa paggiuk.

For he had left of the people to Iehoahaz but fiftie horsemen, and tenne charets, and tenne thousand footemen, because the King of Aram had destroyed them, and made them like dust beaten to pouder.

8 Ug ang nahabilin nga mga buhat ni Joachaz, ug ang tanan nga iyang gihimo, ug ang iyang gahum wala ba sila mahisulat sa basahon sa mga Cronicas sa mga hari sa Israel?

Concerning the rest of the actes of Iehoahaz and all that he did, and his valiant deedes, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

9 Ug si Joachaz natulog uban sa iyang mga amahan; ug ilang gilubong siya sa Samaria: ug si Joas nga iyang anak nga lalake naghari ilis kaniya.

And Iehoahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in Samaria, and Ioash his sonne reigned in his steade.

10 Sa ikakatloan ug pito ka tuig ni Joas nga hari sa Juda nagsugod si Joas ang anak nga lalake ni Joachaz sa paghari sa Israel didto sa Samaria; ug nahari sa napulo ug unom ka tuig.

In the seuen and thirtieth yere of Ioash King of Iudah began Iehoash the sonne of Iehoahaz to reigne ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned sixteene yeere,

11 Ug gibuhat niya ang dautan sa mga mata ni Jehova; ug siya wala mobulag sa tanang mga sala ni Jeroboam ang anak nga lalake ni Nabat, diin gihimo niya ang Israel sa pagpakasala; apan siya naglakat niana.

And did euil in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from all the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat that made Israel to sinne, but he walked therein.

12 Karon ang nahabilin nga mga buhat ni Joas, ug ang tanan nga iyang gihimo, ug ang iyang gahum nga iyang giaway batok kang Amasias ang hari sa Juda, wala ba sila mahisulat sa basahon sa mga Cronicas sa mga hari sa Israel?

Concerning the rest of the actes of Ioash and all that he did, and his valiant deedes, and how he fought against Amaziah King of Iudah, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

13 Ug si Joas natulog uban sa iyang mga amahan; ug si Jeroboam milingkod sa trono: ug si Joas gilubong sa Samaria uban sa mga hari sa Israel.

And Ioash slept with his fathers, and Ieroboam sate vpon his seate: and Ioash was buryed in Samaria among the Kings of Israel.

14 Karon si Eliseo nasakit sa sakit nga iyang gikamatyan: ug si Joas ang hari sa Israel miadto kaniya, ug mihilak tungod kaniya, ug miingon: Amahan ko, amahan ko, ang mga carro sa Israel ug ang mga sundalo nga magkakabayo niini!

When Elisha fell sicke of his sickenesse whereof he dyed, Ioash the King of Israel came downe vnto him, and wept vpon his face, and sayd, O my father, my father, the charet of Israel, and the horsemen of the same.

15 Ug si Eliseo miingon kaniya: Kuhai sa pana ug sa mga udyong; ug gikuhaan siya sa pana ug sa mga udyong.

Then Elisha sayde vnto him, Take a bowe and arrowes. And he tooke vnto him bowe and arrowes.

16 Ug siya miingon sa hari sa Israel: Ibutang ang imong kamot sa pana; ug iyang gibutang ang iyang kamot niana. Ug gibutang ni Eliseo ang iyang mga kamot sa ibabaw sa kamot sa hari.

And he sayde to the King of Israel, Put thine hand vpon the bowe. And he put his hand vpon it. And Elisha put his hands vpon the Kings hands,

17 Ug siya miingon: Buksi ang tamboanan dapit sa silangan; ug iyang gibuksan. Unya si Eliseo miingon: Pumana ka, ug siya mipana. Ug siya miingon: Ang udyong sa kadaugan ni Jehova, ug udyong sa kadaugan gikan sa Siria, kay ikaw nagalutos sa mga Sirianhon sa Aphec hangtud nga imong mangaut-ut sila.

And saide, Open the windowe Eastward. And when he had opened it, Elisha said, Shoote. And he shot. And he sayd, Beholde the arrowe of the Lordes deliuerance and the arrowe of deliuerance against Aram: for thou shalt smite the Aramites in Aphek, till thou hast consumed them.

18 Ug siya miingon: Kuhaa ang mga udyong; ug iyang gikuha sila. Ug siya miingon sa hari sa Israel: Ibunal sa yuta; ug siya mibunal sa nakatolo, ug mihunong.

Againe he said, Take the arrowes. And he tooke them. And he sayde vnto the King of Israel, Smite the ground. And he smote thrise, and ceased.

19 Ug ang tawo sa Dios naligutgut kaniya, ug miingon: Agad pa unta nga ikaw nagbunal sa makalima kun makaunom: kay sa ingon niana ikaw makadaug unta sa Siria hangtud nga imong maut-ut kini. Apan karon ikaw makadaug sa Siria sa makatolo lamang.

Then the man of God was angry with him, and sayde, Thou shouldest haue smitten fiue or sixe times, so thou shouldest haue smitten Aram, till thou haddest consumed it, where nowe thou shalt smite Aram but thrise.

20 Ug si Eliseo namatay, ug ilang gilubong siya. Karon ang mga panon sa mga Moabnon mingsulong sa yuta sa umalabut nga tuig.

So Elisha dyed, and they buryed him. And certaine bandes of the Moabites came into the land that yeere.

21 Ug nahitabo, sa naglubong pa sila sa usa ka tawo, nga, ania karon, sila nakakita sa usa ka panon; ug ilang gilunod ang tawo sa lubnganan ni Eliseo: ug sa diha nga ang tawo midapat sa bukog ni Eliseo, siya nabuhi, ug mitindog.

And as they were burying a man, behold, they saw the souldiers: therfore they cast the man into the sepulchre of Elisha. And when the man was downe, and touched the bones of Elisha, he reuiued and stoode vpon his feete.

22 Ug si Hazael ang hari sa Siria nagdaugdaug sa Israel sa tanang mga adlaw ni Joachaz.

But Hazael King of Aram vexed Israel all the dayes of Iehoahaz.

23 Apan si Jehova nagmalolot kanila, ug may kalooy kanila, ug may pagtahud kanila, tungod sa iyang pakigsaad uban kang Abraham, Isaac, ug kang Jacob, ug wala maglaglag kanila, bisan sa iyang atubangan sila wala pa isalikway niya.

Therefore the Lord had mercy on them and pitied them, and had respect vnto them because of his couenant with Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from him as yet.

24 Ug si Hazael hari sa Siria namatay; ug si Ben-adad nga iyang anak nga lalake naghari ilis kaniya.

So Hazael the King of Aram dyed: and Ben-hadad his sonne reigned in his stead.

25 Ug gikuha pag-usab ni Joas ang anak nga lalake ni Joachaz, gikan sa kamot ni Ben-adad ang anak ni Hazael, ang mga ciudad nga iyang naagaw gikan sa kamot ni Joachaz nga iyang amahan pinaagi sa gubat. Nakatolo nga siya gidaug ni Joas, ug nabawi ang mga ciudad sa Israel.

Therefore Iehoash the sonne of Iehoahaz returned, and tooke out of the hand of Ben-hadad the sonne of Hazael the cities which he had taken away by warre out of the hand of Iehoahaz his father: for three times did Ioash beate him, and restored the cities vnto Israel.
