1 Niadtong panahona si Abias, ang anak nga lalake ni Jeroboam, nasakit.

At that time Abiiah the sonne of Ieroboam fell sicke.

2 Ug si Jeroboam miingon sa iyang asawa: Tumindog ka, ako naghangyo kanimo, ug magtakoban ka sa imong kaugalingon, aron dili ka hiilhan nga asawa ni Jeroboam; ug lumakaw ka ngadto sa Silo; ania karon, atua si Ahias ang manalagna, nga namulong mahitungod kanako nga ako mahari niining katawohan.

And Ieroboam saide vnto his wife, Vp, I pray thee, and disguise thy selfe, that they know not that thou art the wife of Ieroboam, and goe to Shiloh: for there is Ahiiah the Prophet, which tolde mee that I shoulde bee King ouer this people,

3 Ug magdala ka ug napulo ka book nga tinapay, ug mga mamon, ug usa ka tibud-tibud nga dugos, ug lumakaw ngadto kaniya. Siya mosugilon kanimo kong unsay mahitabo sa bata.

And take with thee tenne loaues and craknels, and a bottell of honie, and go to him: hee shall tell thee what shall become of the yong man.

4 Ug ang asawa ni Jeroboam naghimo sa ingon, ug mitindog, ug miadto sa Silo, ug miadto sa balay ni Ahias. Karon si Ahias dili makakita; kay ang iyang mga mata nangahalap na tungod sa iyang panuigon.

And Ieroboams wife did so, and arose, and went to Shiloh, and came to the house of Ahiiah: but Ahiiah could not see, for his sight was decayed for his age.

5 Ug si Jehova miingon kang Ahias: Ania karon, ang asawa ni Jeroboam mianhi aron sa pagpangutana kanimo mahitungod sa iyang anak nga lalake; kay siya masakiton: mao kini ug mao kini ang ipamulong mo kaniya; kay mahitabo kini, kong siya mosulod na nga siya magatakoban sa pagkalaing babaye.

Then the Lord saide vnto Ahiiah, Beholde, the wife of Ieroboam commeth to aske a thing of thee for her sonne, for he is sicke: thus and thus shalt thou say vnto her: for when shee commeth in, shee shall feine her selfe to be another.

6 Ug mao kadto, sa pagkadungog ni Ahias sa tinaguktok sa iyang tiil, sa nagapadulong siya sa pultahan, nga siya miingon: Sumulod ka, asawa ni Jeroboam; nganong nagatakoban ka sa imong kaugalingon sa pagkalaing babaye? Kay ako gipaanhi kanimo uban sa mabug-at nga mga balita.

Therefore when Ahiiah heard the sounde of her feete as shee came in at the doore, hee saide, Come in, thou wife of Ieroboam: why feinest thou thus thy selfe to bee an other? I am sent to thee with heauie tidings.

7 Lumakaw ka, suginli si Jeroboam, kini mao ang gipamulong ni Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel: Ingon sa nakita nga gituboy ko ikaw gikan sa taliwala sa katawohan, ug naghimo kanimo nga principe sa akong katawohan nga Israel,

Goe, tel Ieroboam, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Forasmuch as I haue exalted thee from among the people, and haue made thee prince ouer my people Israel,

8 Ug nagpikas sa gingharian gikan sa balay ni David, ug gihatag kini kanimo; ug bisan pa niana ikaw wala gayud manig-ingon sa akong ulipon nga si David, nga nagbantay sa akong mga sugo, ug misunod kanako sa tibook niyang kasingkasing sa pagbuhat lamang sa matarung sa akong mga mata,

And haue rent the kingdome away from the house of Dauid, and haue giuen it thee, and thou hast not bene as my seruant Dauid, which kept my commandements, and followed mee with all his heart, and did onely that which was right in mine eyes,

9 Hinonoa naghimo ka sa dautan labaw pa sa tanan nga nanghiuna kanimo, ug miadto ug naghimo ka sa laing mga dios, ug mga hinulma nga mga larawan sa paghagit kanako sa pagkasuko, ug nagsalikway kanako sa luyo sa imong likod:

But hast done euil aboue al that were before thee (for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to prouoke me, and hast cast me behinde thy backe)

10 Busa, ania karon, dad-an ko ug kadautan ang ibabaw sa balay ni Jeroboam, ug putlon ko gikan kang Jeroboam ang tagsatagsa ka bata nga lalake, kaniya nga natakpan, ug kaniya nga anaa nahabilin sa gawas sa Israel, ug silhigon ko gayud ang balay ni Jeroboam, ingon sa usa ka tawo nga magasilhig sa kinalibang, hangtud nga kining tanan mangawala.

Therefore beholde, I will bring euill vpon the house of Ieroboam, and will cut off from Ieroboam him that pisseth against the wall, aswell him that is shut vp, as him that is left in Israel, and will sweepe away the remnant of the house of Ieroboam, as a man sweepeth away doung, till it be all gone.

11 Ang mamatay sa panimalay ni Jeroboam sa ciudad pagakan-on sa mga iro; ug ang mamatay sa kaumahan pagatuktokon sa mga langgam sa kalangitan: kay si Jehova namulong niini.

The dogges shall eate him of Ieroboams stocke that dyeth in the citie, and the foules of the aire shall eate him that dyeth in the fielde: for the Lord hath said it.

12 Busa tumindog ka, ug lumakaw ka ngadto sa imong balay: ug sa pagsulod mo sa ciudad, ang bata mamatay.

Vp therefore and get thee to thine house: for when thy feete enter into the citie, the childe shall die.

13 Ug ang tibook Israel magabalata alang kaniya, ug magalubong kaniya; kay siya lamang sa panimalay ni Jeroboam ang makasulod sa lubnganan, tungod kay kaniya may nakaplagan nga maayong butang ngadto kang Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel, diha sa balay ni Jeroboam.

And al Israel shall mourne for him, and burie him: for he onely of Ieroboam shall come to the graue, because in him there is found some goodnes towarde the Lord God of Israel in the house of Ieroboam.

14 Labut pa si Jehova mopatindog kaniya ug usa ka hari sa Israel, nga magaputol sa balay ni Jeroboam niadtong adlawa: apan unsa? bisan karon.

Moreouer, the Lord shall stirre him vp a King ouer Israel, which shall destroy the house of Ieroboam in that day: what? yea, euen nowe.

15 Kay si Jehova mosilot sa Israel sama sa usa ka tangbo nga ginauyog-uyog diha sa tubig; ug ibton niya ang Israel gikan niining maayong yuta nga iyang gihatag sa ilang mga amahan, ug magpatibulaag kanila unahan sa Suba, tungod kay ilang gihimo ang ilang Asherim, sa paghagit kang Jehova sa pagkasuko.

For the Lord shall smite Israel, as when a reede is shaken in the water, and hee shall weede Israel out of his good lad, which he gaue to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the Riuer, because they haue made them groues, prouoking the Lord to anger.

16 Ug iyang itugyan ang Israel tungod sa mga sala ni Jeroboam, nga iyang nahimo, ug tungod niini gihimo niya ang Israel sa pagpakasala.

And he shall giue Israel vp, because of the sinnes of Ieroboam, who did sinne, and made Israel to sinne.

17 Ug ang asawa ni Jeroboam mitindog, ug mipahawa ug miadto sa Tirsa: ug sa pagsulod niya sa lusaranan sa balay, ang bata namatay.

And Ieroboams wife arose, and departed, and came to Tirzah, and when shee came to the threshold of the house, the yong man dyed,

18 Ug ang tibook Israel maoy minglubong kaniya, ug nagbalata tungod kaniya, sumala sa pulong ni Jehova, nga iyang gipamulong pinaagi sa iyang alagad nga si Ahias, ang manalagna.

And they buried him, and all Israel lamented him; according to the word of the Lord, which hee spake by the hand of his seruant Ahiiah the Prophet.

19 Ug ang uban nga mga buhat ni Jeroboam, giunsa niya sa paggubat, ug giunsa niya sa paghari, ania karon, sila nahisulat sa basahon sa mga Cronicas sa mga hari sa Israel.

And the rest of Ieroboams actes, how hee warred, and howe hee reigned, beholde, they are written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

20 Ug ang mga adlaw nga si Jeroboam naghari kaluhaan ug duha ka tuig: ug siya natulog uban sa iyang mga amahan ug si Nadab nga iyang anak nga lalake miilis sa paghari kaniya.

And the dayes which Ieroboam reigned, were two and twentie yeere: and he slept with his fathers, and Nadab his sonne reigned in his steade.

21 Ug si Roboam, ang anak nga lalake ni Salomon, naghari sa Juda. Si Roboam may kap-atan ug usa ka tuig ang panuigon sa pagsugod niya paghari, ug siya naghari sa Jerusalem sa napulo ug pito ka tuig, ang ciudad nga gipili ni Jehova gikan sa tanang kabanayan sa Israel, sa pagbutang sa iyang ngalan didto: ug ang ngalan sa iyang inahan mao si Naama, ang Ammonhanon.

Also Rehoboam the sonne of Salomon reigned in Iudah. Rehoboam was one and fourtie yere olde, when he began to reigne, and reigned seuenteene yere in Ierusalem, the citie which the Lord did chuse out of al the tribes of Israel, to put his Name there: and his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite.

22 Ug ang Juda naghimo sa dautan sa mga mata ni Jehova, ug ilang gihagit siya sa pangabugho sa ilang mga sala nga ilang nahimo, labaw sa tanan nga nahimo sa ilang mga amahan.

And Iudah wrought wickednesse in the sight of the Lord: and they prouoked him more with their sinnes, which they had committed, then all that which their fathers had done.

23 Kay sila usab nanagtukod sa mga hatag-as nga dapit, ug mga haligi ug Asherim, sa tagsatagsa ka taas nga bungtod, sa ilalum sa tagsatagsa ka malunhaw nga kahoy;

For they also made them hie places, and images, and groues on euery hie hill, and vnder euery greene tree.

24 Ug may mga sodomhanon usab didto sa yuta: sila naghimo sumala sa tanang mga kangil-ad sa mga nasud nga gipapahawa ni Jehova gikan sa atubangan sa mga anak sa Israel.

There were also Sodomites in the lande, they did according to all the abominations of the nations, which the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel.

25 Ug nahitabo sa ikalima ka tuig ni hari Roboam, nga si Sisac, ang hari sa Egipto, mitungas batok sa Jerusalem;

And in the fift yere of King Rehoboam, Shishak King of Egypt came vp against Ierusale,

26 Ug iyang gikuha ang mga bahandi sa balay ni Jehova, ug ang mga bahandi sa balay sa hari; iyang gikuha bisan ang tanan iyang gikuha ang tanang mga taming nga bulawan nga gibuhat ni Salomon.

And tooke the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the Kings house, and tooke away all: also he caried away all the shields of golde which Salomon had made.

27 Ug si Roboam naghimo ilis kanila mga taming nga tumbaga, ug gihatag sila sa kamot sa mga capitan sa magbalantay, nga nagaatang sa ganghaan sa balay sa hari.

And King Rehoboam made for them brasen shieldes, and committed them vnto ye hands of the chiefe of the garde, which wayted at the doore of the Kings house.

28 Ug mao kadto, nga, sa masabug nga ang hari miadto sa balay ni Jehova, ang magbalantay nagpas-an kanila ug nagdala kanila pagbalik ngadto sa sulod nga bantayan.

And when the King went into the house of the Lord, the garde bare them, and brought them againe into the gard chamber.

29 Ug ang nanghibilin nga mga buhat ni Roboam, ug ang tanan nga iyang gihimo, wala ba sila mahisulat diha sa basahon sa mga Cronicas sa mga hari sa Juda?

And the rest of the actes of Rehoboam, and all that hee did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?

30 Ug dihay gubat kanunay sa taliwala ni Roboam ug ni Jeroboam.

And there was warre betweene Rehoboam and Ieroboam continually.

31 Ug si Roboam natulog uban sa iyang amahan, ug gilubong uban sa iyang mga amahan didto sa ciudad ni David, ug ang ngalan sa iyang inahan mao si Naama, nga Ammonhanon. Ug si Abiam nga iyang anak nga lalake naghari ilis kaniya.

And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the citie of Dauid: his mothers name was Naamah an Ammonite. And Abiiam his sonne reigned in his stead.
