1 Cronicas 22
1 Unya si David miingon: Kini mao ang balay ni Jehova nga Dios, ug kini mao ang halaran sa halad-nga-sinunog alang sa Israel.
And David said, “This is the house of God, and this is the altar for the holocaust of Israel.”
2 Ug si David nagsugo sa pagtigum sa tingub sa mga humalapit nga anaa sa yuta sa Israel; ug iyang gibutangan sa mga magtitiltil sa bato aron sa pagtiltil sa mga bato sa pagtukod sa balay sa Dios.
And he instructed them to gather all the new converts from the land of Israel. And from these he appointed stoneworkers, to hew stones and to polish them, so that he might build the house of God.
3 Ug si David nag-andam ug puthaw nga daghan nga pagabuhaton sa mga lansang alang sa mga tak-op sa ganghaan, ug tungod sa mga tinakdoan; ug tumbaga nga daghan nga dili matimbang;
Also, David prepared very much iron to use for the nails of the gates, and for the seams and joints, as well as an immeasurable weight of brass.
4 Ug mga kahoy nga cedro nga dili maihap: tungod kay ang mga Sidonhanon ug sila nga taga-Tiro nagdala ug daghang mga kahoy nga cedro ngadto kang David.
Also, the cedar trees, which the Sidonians and Tyrians had transported to David, were not able to be counted.
5 Ug si David miingon: Si Salomon nga akong anak nga lalake batan-on ug linghod pa ug ang balay nga pagatukoron alang kang Jehova kinahanglang matahum kaayo, sa dungog ug sa himaya sa tibook nga mga kayutaan; busa ako magaandam alang niini. Busa si David nagaandam sa pagkadaghan gayud sa wala pa ang iyang kamatayon.
And David said: “My son Solomon is a young and tender boy. But the house that I desire to be built to the Lord ought to be so great that it is renowned in every region. Therefore, I will prepare what will be necessary for him.” And for this reason, before his death, he prepared all the expenses.
6 Unya siya mitawag kang Salomon nga iyang anak nga lalake ug gisugo siya sa pagtukod sa usa ka balay alang kang Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel.
And he called for Solomon, his son. And he instructed him to build a house to the Lord, the God of Israel.
7 Ug si David miingon kang Salomon nga iyang anak nga lalake: Mahitungod kanako, dinhi kini sa akong kasingkasing ang pagtukod ug usa ka balay sa ngalan ni Jehova nga akong Dios.
And David said to Solomon: “My son, it was my will that I build a house to the name of the Lord my God.
8 Apan ang pulong ni Jehova midangat kanako, nga nagaingon: Ikaw nagpaagay sa daghan uyamut nga dugo, ug naghimo sa daghang mga gubat: ikaw dili magatukod sa usa ka balay sa akong ngalan, tungod kay ikaw nagpaagay ug daghan uyamut nga dugo sa yuta ubos sa akong pagtan-aw.
But the word of the Lord came to me, saying: ‘You have shed much blood, and you have battled in many wars. You are not able to build a house to my name, so great was the shedding of blood before me.
9 Ania karon, usa ka anak nga lalake matawo kanimo, nga maoy mahimong usa ka tawo sa pakigdait; ug hatagan ko siya ug pahulay gikan sa tanan niyang mga kaaway nga naglibut: kay ang iyang ngalan Salomon, ug ako magahatag pakigdait ug pagkahilum sa Israel sa iyang mga adlaw.
The son who shall be born to you will be a very quiet man. For I will cause him to have rest from all his enemies on every side. And for this reason, he shall be called Peaceful. And I will grant peace and tranquility to Israel during all his days.
10 Siya magatukod ug usa ka balay alang sa akong ngalan; ug siya akong anak nga lalake ug ako mahimong iyang Amahan; ug lig-onon ko ang trono sa iyang gingharian sa ibabaw sa Israel sa walay katapusan.
He shall build a house to my name. And he shall be a son to me, and I will be a father to him. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel unto eternity.’
11 Karon, anak ko nga lalake, si Jehova magauban kanimo; ug pagmauswagon ka, ug tukora ang balay ni Jehova nga imong Dios, sumala sa iyang gipamulong mahitungod kanimo.
Now then, my son, may the Lord be with you, and may you prosper and build a house to the Lord your God, just as he has spoken concerning you.
12 Si Jehova lamang ang magahatag kanimo sa kaalam ug salabutan, ug magahatag kanimo sa mga sugo mahitungod sa Israel; aron ikaw magabantay sa Kasugoan ni Jehova nga imong Dios.
Also, may the Lord give you prudence and understanding, so that you may be able to rule Israel and to guard the law of the Lord your God.
13 Unya ikaw magauswag, kong ikaw magatuman sa pagbuhat sa kabalaoran ug mga tulomanon nga gisugo ni Jehova kang Moises mahitungod sa Israel: pagmakusganon, ug pagmaisugon, ayaw kahadlok; ni magmaluya ka.
For then you will be able to advance, if you keep the commandments and judgments that the Lord instructed Moses to teach to Israel. Be strengthened and act manfully. You should not fear, and you should not dread.
14 Karon, tan-awa, sa akong kagul-anan ako nakaandam alang sa balay ni Jehova sa usa ka gatus ka libo ka talento nga bulawan, ug usa ka libo ka libo ka talento nga salapi, ug tumbaga ug puthaw nga dili arang matimbang; kay kini daghan uyamut; mga kahoy usab ug bato naandam ko; ug ikaw makadugang niana.
Behold, in my poverty I have prepared the expenses for the house of the Lord: one hundred thousand talents of gold, and one million of talents of silver. Yet truly, there is no measuring the brass and the iron. For their magnitude is beyond numbering. And I have prepared the timber and the stones for the entire project.
15 Labut pa may mga mamumuo nga daghan uban kanimo, mga magtitiltil sa bato ug mga magbubuhat alang sa mga bato ug mga kahoy, ug ang tanang mga tawo nga batid sa tanang paagi sa buhat:
Also, you have very many artisans: stoneworkers, and builders of walls, and craftsmen of wood, and those most prudent in doing the work of every art,
16 Sa bulawan, sa salapi, ug sa tumbaga, ug sa puthaw, dili maihap. Tindog ug magbuhat, ug si Jehova magauban kanimo.
with gold and silver, and with brass and iron, of which there is no number. Therefore, rise up and act. And the Lord will be with you.”
17 Si David usab nagsugo sa tanang mga principe sa Israel sa pagtabang kang Salomon nga iyang anak nga lalake, nga nagaingon:
Also, David instructed all the leaders of Israel, so that they would assist his son Solomon,
18 Dili ba si Jehova nga imong Dios maoy nagauban kanimo? Ug wala ba siya maghatag kanimo sa pahulay sa tanan nga mga dapit? Kay iyang gitugyan ang mga pumoluyo sa yuta sa akong kamot; ug ang yuta nahisakup sa atubangan ni Jehova, ug sa atubangan sa iyang katawohan.
saying: “You discern that the Lord your God is with you, and that he has given you rest on all sides, and that he has delivered all your enemies into your hands, and that the land has been subdued before the Lord and before his people.
19 Karon ibutang ang inyong kasing-kasing ug ang inyong kalag sa pagpangita kang Jehova nga inyong Dios; busa tindog, ug tukoron ninyo ang balaang puloy-anan ni Jehova nga Dios; sa pagdala sa arca sa tugon ni Jehova, ug ang mga balaang sudlanan sa Dios, ngadto sa balay nga pagatukoron sa ngalan ni Jehova.
Therefore, offer your hearts and your souls, so that you seek the Lord your God. And rise up and build a sanctuary to the Lord God, so that the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the vessels consecrated to the Lord, may be brought into the house that is built to the name of the Lord.”
