1 Cronicas 16
1 Ug ilang gidala sa sulod ang arca sa Dios, ug gibutang kini sa kinataliwad-an sa balong-balong nga gibuhat ni David alang niana: ug sila nanaghalad ug mga halad-nga-sinunog ug mga halad-sa-pakigdait sa atubangan sa Dios.
They brought the Sacred Chest [to Gibeon] and put it inside the Sacred Tent that David had [told his workers to] set up. Then they brought offerings to be completely burned [on the altar] and offerings to enable them to maintain fellowship [with God].
2 Ug sa diha nga si David nakatapus na paghalad sa halad-nga-sinunog ug sa mga halad-sa-pakigdait, iyang gipanalanginan ang katawohan sa ngalan ni Jehova.
When David had finished presenting all those offerings, he [asked Yahweh to] bless the people.
3 Ug siya naghatag sa tagsatagsa sa Israel, lalake ug babaye, sa tagsatagsa usa ka book nga tinapay, ug usa ka pahat nga unod, ug usa ka torta nga pasas.
He gave a loaf of bread, some dates, and some raisins to every Israeli man and woman [who was there].
4 Ug iyang gitudlo ang uban sa mga Levihanon sa pag-alagad sa atubangan sa arca ni Jehova, ug sa pagsaulog ug sa pagpasalamat ug pagdayeg kang Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel:
Then David appointed some of the descendants of Levi to stand in front of [the Sacred Tent in which] the Sacred Chest [had been placed], to lead the people who worshiped and thanked and praised Yahweh, the God of the Israeli people.
5 Si Asaph ang pangulo, ug ang sunod kaniya si Zacarias, si Jeiel, ug Semiramoth, ug si Jehiel, ug si Mathithias, ug si Eliab, ug si Benaias, ug si Obed-edom, ug si Jeiel uban sa mga tulonggon nga kinuldasan ug mga alpa; ug si Asaph uban sa mga piyangpiyang nga nagalanog sa makusog;
Asaph, who played the cymbals, was their leader. Zechariah was his assistant. The other descendants of Levi [who helped Asaph] were Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom, and Jeiel. They played lyres and harps.
6 Ug si Benaias ug si Jaasiel ang mga sacerdote uban sa mga trompeta sa kanunay, sa atubangan sa arca sa tugon sa Dios.
Benaiah and Jahaziel were priests who blew trumpets frequently in front of [the Sacred Tent in which was] the Sacred Chest.
7 Unya niadtong adlawa, si David nagsugo pag-una sa paghatag sa mga pasalamat kang Jehova, sa kamot ni Asaph ug sa iyang mga kaigsoonan.
On that day, David gave to Asaph and his helpers this psalm to praise Yahweh:
8 Oh paghatag kamo ug mga pasalamat kang Jehova, tawga ang iyang ngalan; Ipahibalo ang iyang mga buhat sa mga katawohan.
Thank God, and pray to him [MTY]. Tell the people of all nations what he has done.
9 Pag-awit kaniya, pag-awit ug mga pagdayeg kaniya; Paghisgut kamo sa tanang mga katingalahang buhat niya.
Sing to him; sing songs to praise him. Tell about all his miraculous deeds.
10 Maghimaya kamo sa iyang maputling ngalan; Lipaya ang kasingkasing nila nga nangita kang Jehova.
Be glad that you belong to him [MTY]; those who want to know Yahweh better should rejoice.
11 Pangitaa ninyo si Jehova ug ang iyang kusog; Pangitaa ang iyang nawong sa kanunay.
Trust in Yahweh and in his power; continually seek to get help from him.
12 Hinumdumi ang iyang mga katingalahang buhat nga iyang nabuhat, Ang iyang mga katingalahan ug ang mga paghukom sa iyang baba,
Do not forget the wonderful things that he has done, the miracles and the just laws that he has given to us.
13 Oh kamo nga kaliwat ni Israel nga iyang alagad, Kamo nga mga anak ni Jacob, nga iyang mga pinili.
We people are the descendants of his servant Jacob; we are the people of Israel whom he has chosen.
14 Siya mao si Jehova nga atong Dios; Ang iyang mga paghukom anaa sa tibook nga yuta.
Yahweh is our God. His just/fair laws are known by people throughout the world.
15 Hinumdumi ang iyang tugon sa walay katapusan; Ang pulong nga iyang gisugo sa usa ka libo ka kaliwatan,
He never forgets the agreement that he has made: he made a promise that will last for 1,000 generations.
16 Ang tugon nga iyang gihimo uban kang Abraham, Ug ang iyang panumpa kang Isaac,
That is the agreement that he made with Abraham, and he repeated that agreement to Isaac.
17 Ug nagpamatuod sa mao usab kang Jacob alang sa usa ka kabalaoran, Sa Israel nga usa ka walay-katapusan nga-tugon,
It was an agreement for the Israeli people, and he wanted that agreement to endure forever.
18 Nga nagaingon: Kanimo ihatag ko ang yuta sa Canaan, Ang bahin sa imong panulondon;
What he said was, “I will give the Canaan region to you, to belong to you [and your descendants forever].”
19 Sa diha nga kamo pila pa ka tawo, Oo, talagsa ra, ug mga dumuloong diha niana;
[He said that to them] when there were only a few of them, a tiny group of people who were living in that land (like strangers/that belonged to other people);
20 Ug sila nanlakaw gikan sa usa ngadto sa usa ka nasud, Ug gikan sa usa ka gingharian ngadto sa laing katawohan.
they continued to wander from one place to another, from one kingdom to another.
21 Wala tumugot siya nga bisan kinsa magapasakit kanila; Oo, iyang gibadlong ang mga hari tungod kanila,
But he did not allow others to oppress them, and he warned kings by saying to them,
22 Nga nag-ingon: Ayaw paghilabti ang akong mga dinihog. Ug ayaw pagbuhat ug dautan sa akong mga manalagna.
“Do not harm the people whom I have chosen! Do not harm my prophets!”
23 Pag-awit kang Jehova, tibook nga yuta; Ipakita ang iyang kaluwasan sa adlaw-adlaw.
You people throughout the world, sing to Yahweh. Every day proclaim [to others] that he has saved us.
24 Ipadayag ang iyang himaya sa mga nasud, Ug iyang mga katingalahan nga buhat sa tanang mga katawohan,
Tell the people of the nations that he is great; tell all the people-groups the marvelous things [that he has done].
25 Kay daku si Jehova, ug takus nga pagadayegon ug daku; Siya usab kahadlokan labaw sa tanang mga dios.
Yahweh is great, and he deserves to be praised very much. He should be revered more than all the gods,
26 Tungod kay ang tanang mga dios sa mga katawohan mga dios-dios: Apan si Jehova nagbuhat sa mga langit.
because all the gods that the [other] people-groups [worship] are only idols, but Yahweh [is truly great; he] created the skies.
27 Kadungganan ug pagkahalangdon anaa sa atubangan niya; Kusog ug kalipay anaa sa iyang dapit.
He is glorious and majestic; his power and joy fill his Sacred Tent.
28 Ipahanungod kang Jehova, kamo nga kaubanan sa mga katawohan, Ipahanungod kang Jehova ang himaya ug kusog;
You people in nations all over the world, praise Yahweh! Praise Yahweh for his glorious power [HEN]!
29 Ipahanungod kang Jehova ang himaya nga angay sa iyang ngalan; Pagdala ug usa ka halad, ug umadto sa atubangan niya; Magsimba kamo kang Jehova sa katahum sa pagkabalaan.
Praise Yahweh like he [MTY] deserves to be praised. Bring an offering and come to his Sacred Tent. Worship Yahweh because he is holy.
30 Pangurog sa atubangan niya, tibook nga yuta: Ang kalibutan usab natukod na nga dili mabalhin.
Everyone on the earth should tremble in front of Yahweh. He put the earth firmly [in its place]; and nothing ever will be able to move/shake it.
31 Magkalipay unta ang mga langit, ug magkalipay unta ang yuta; Ug pasultiha sila sa taliwala sa mga nasud, nga si Jehova nagahari.
Everything in the sky and on the earth should be happy. People [everywhere] should say, “Yahweh is our king!”
32 Padaguoka ang dagat, ug ang pagkapuno niini; Magkalipay unta ang kapatagan ug ang tanan nga anaa niini;
The oceans and all the creatures that are in the oceans should shout to praise him; the fields and everything that is in them should rejoice.
33 Unya ang mga kahoy sa lasang manag-awit sa atubangan ni Jehova tungod sa kalipay; Tungod kay siya moanhi sa paghukom sa yuta.
When they do that, [it will be as though] the trees in the forest will sing joyfully in front of Yahweh. That will happen when he comes to judge [everyone on] [MTY] the earth.
34 Oh paghatag pasalamat kang Jehova; kay siya maayo man; Kay ang iyang mahigugmaong-kalolot nagapadayon sa walay katapusan.
Thank Yahweh, because [everything that he does is] good. He faithfully loves us forever.
35 Ug umingon kamo: Luwasa kami, Oh Dios, sa among kaluwasan, Ug tiguma kami pagtingub ug luwasa kami gikan sa mga nasud, Aron sa paghatag ug pasalamat sa imong maputli nga ngalan, Ug sa pagdaug tungod sa imong pagdayeg.
Say to him, “God, you are the one who rescues us, so gather us together and save us from [the armies of] other nations. When you do that, we will thank you [MTY], and we will be happy to praise you.”
36 Dalayegon si Jehova, ang Dios sa Israel, Sukad sa walay katapusan bisan hangtud sa walay katapusan. Ug ang tanang katawohan nanagingon: Amen, ug nanagdayeg kang Jehova.
Praise Yahweh, the God of us Israeli people, He has always existed, and he will exist forever. After the people [finished singing that song], they all said, “(Amen/May it be so)!”, and they praised Yahweh.
37 Busa gipabilin niya didto, sa atubangan sa arca sa tugon ni Jehova, si Asaph ug ang iyang mga kaigsoonan, aron sa pag-alagad sa atubangan sa arca sa kanunay, sumala sa kinahanglan sa adlaw-adlaw nga bulohaton;
Then David left Asaph and the other members of his clan there in front of [the tent in which] Yahweh’s Sacred Chest [had been placed]. He told them that they must do their work there every day.
38 Ug si Obed-edom uban ang ilang mga kaigsoonan, kan-uman ug walo; si Obed-edom usab ang anak nga lalake ni Jeduthun ug Hosa aron mahimong magbalantay sa pultahan;
David also left Obed-Edom and 68 other descendants of Levi to work with them. Hosah and Obed-Edom guarded [the entrances of the Sacred Tent].
39 Ug si Sadoc ang sacerdote, ug ang iyang mga kaigsoonan ang mga sacerdote, sa atubangan sa tabernaculo ni Jehova sa hataas nga dapit nga atua sa Gabaon,
David also told Zadok the [Supreme] Priest and the other priests who worked with him to remain in front of Yahweh’s Sacred Tent, which was still at the place where the Israeli people worshiped [God there] in Gibeon [city].
40 Sa paghalad sa mga halad-nga-sinunog kang Jehova ibabaw sa halaran sa halad-nga-sinunog sa kanunay, buntag ug hapon, bisan sumala sa tanang nahasulat sa Kasugoan ni Jehova, nga iyang gisugo sa Israel;
Every morning and every evening they burned offerings on the altar, obeying the rules/laws that had been written [by Moses], rules/laws which Yahweh had given to the Israeli people.
41 Ug uban kanila si Heman ug si Jeduthun, ug ang uban nga pinili, nga gihisgutan pinaagi sa ngalan, sa paghatag sa mga pasalamat kang Jehova, tungod kay ang iyang mahigugmaong-kalolot nagapadayon sa walay katapusan;
With them were Heman and Jeduthun and other descendants of Levi. They [MTY] were chosen to sing songs to praise Yahweh because he faithfully loves his people forever.
42 Ug uban kanila si Heman ug si Jeduthun uban sa mga trompeta ug mga piyangpiyang alang niadtong magapatingog nga kusog, ug uban sa mga tulonggon tungod sa mga alawiton sa Dios; ug ang mga anak nga lalake ni Jeduthun anha sa ganghaan.
Heman and Jeduthun were appointed to play the trumpets and cymbals when [the other descendants of Levi sang sacred songs]. The sons of Jeduthun were appointed to guard the gates [of the Sacred Tent].
43 Ug ang tibook katawohan nanglakat ang tagsatagsa ka tawo ngadto sa iyang balay: ug si David mipauli sa pagpanalangin sa iyang balay.
Then all the people left. They returned to their homes, and David returned home to [ask Yahweh to] bless his family.
