Sofonias 3
1 Pagkaalaot alang sa masinupakon nga siyudad! Mahugawan na ang siyudad nga bangis.
Woe to the provoking, and redeemed city, the dove.
2 Wala siya naminaw sa tingog sa Dios, ni midawat sa pagtul-id nga gikan kang Yahweh. Wala siya misalig kang Yahweh ug wala siya midangop sa iyang Dios.
She hath not hearkened to the voice, neither hath she received discipline: she hath not trusted in the Lord, she drew not near to her God.
3 Ang iyang mga prinsipe nagangulob nga mga liyon diha sa iyang taliwala. Ang iyang mga maghuhukom sama sa mga lobo sa kagabhion nga nagsigig pangisap bisan sa kabuntagon.
Her princes are in the midst of her as roaring lions: her judges are evening wolves, they left nothing for the morning.
4 Mga walay batasan ug traydor ang iyang mga propeta. Gipasipad-an sa iyang mga pari kung unsa ang balaan ug nagabuhat usab sa mga butang nga supak sa balaod.
Her prophets are senseless men without faith: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have acted unjustly against the law.
5 Matarong si Yahweh diha sa iyang taliwala. Wala siya nagbuhat ug sayop. Matag buntag ginapahimutang niya ang iyang hustisya! Dili kini matago diha sa kahayag, apan wala gihapon maulaw kadtong mga katawhan nga dili matarong.
The just Lord is in the midst thereof, he will not do iniquity: in the morning, in the morning he will bring his judgment to light, and it shall not be hid: but the wicked man hath not known shame.
6 Gipukan ko ang mga kanasoran; nangaguba ang ilang mga kota. Giguba ko usab ang ilang mga dalan, busa walay nay moagi kanila. Nangaguba ang ilang mga siyudad aron wala nay tawo nga mopuyo niini.
I have destroyed the nations, and their towers are beaten down: I have made their ways desert, so that there is none that passeth by: their cities are desolate, there is not a man remaining, nor any inhabitant.
7 Miingon ako, 'Sa pagkatinuod mangahadlok gayod kamo kanako. Dawata ang pagbadlong ug dili kamo puohon gikan sa inyong panimalay pinaagi sa tanan nga buhaton ko kaninyo.' Apan matag buntag gipalabi hinuon nila ang pagbuhat ug daotan.
I said: Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive correction: and her dwelling shall not perish, for all things wherein I have visited her: but they rose early and corrupted all their thoughts.
8 Busa paabot kanako—mao kini ang gipamulong ni Yahweh—hangtod sa adlaw nga mobarog ako alang sa mga biktima. Tungod kay nakahukom ako nga usahon ang mga kanasoran, aron tapukon ang mga gingharian, ug ipahamtang kanila ang akong kasuko, ang tanan kong kaligutgot, aron nga pagalamyon ang tanan nga kayutaan pinaagi sa nagdilaab kong kasuko.
Wherefore expect me, saith the Lord, in the day of my resurrection that is to come, for my judgment is to assemble the Gentiles, and to gather the kingdoms: and to pour upon them my indignation, all my fierce anger: for with the fire of my jealousy shall all the earth be devoured.
9 Apan hatagan ko ang akong katawhan ug putli nga mga pulong, mosangpit silang tanan sa ngalan ni Yahweh aron sa pag-alagad kanako nga nanindog, abaga sa abaga.
Because then I will restore to the people a chosen lip, that all may call upon the name of the Lord, and may serve him with one shoulder.
10 Gikan sa unahan sa suba sa Etiopia ang akong magsisimba ug ang nagkatag kong katawhan, magadala ug mga halad ngari kanako.
From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, shall my suppliants the children of my dispersed people bring me an offering.
11 Nianang adlawa dili na kamo maulawan sa tanan ninyong binuhatan nga inyong nahimo batok kanako, tungod kay gikan nianang taknaa kuhaon ko gikan kaninyo ang nagsaulog sa inyong garbo, ug tungod niana dili ka na magmagarbuhon sa balaan kong bukid.
In that day thou shalt not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee thy proud boasters, and thou shalt no more be lifted up because of my holy mountain.
12 Apan biyaan ko ikaw ingon nga usa ka ubos ug kabos nga katawhan, ug magadangop ka sa ngalan ni Yahweh.
And I will leave in the midst of thee a poor and needy people: and they shall hope in the name of the Lord.
13 Ang nahibilin sa Israel dili na gayod magbuhat ug sayop o mosultig bakak, ug wala nay mosultig pagpanlimbong; busa manibsib sila ug unya magapanghigda, ug wala na gayoy makahadlok kanila.”
The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed, and shall lie down, and there shall be none to make them afraid.
14 Pag-awit, anak nga babaye sa Zion! Pagsinggit, Israel. Pagmaya ug paglipay sa tibuok mong kasingkasing, anak nga babaye sa Jerusalem.
Give praise, O daughter of Sion: shout, O Israel: be glad, and rejoice with all thy heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
15 Gikuha na ni Yahweh ang imong silot; gipahilayo na niya ang imong mga kaaway! Si Yahweh mao ang hari sa Israel taliwala kanimo. Dili na gayod kamo mahadlok sa daotan pag-usab!
The Lord hath taken away thy judgment, he hath turned away thy enemies: the king of Israel the Lord is in the midst of thee, thou shalt fear evil no more.
16 Niana unya nga mga adlaw moingon sila sa Jerusalem, “Ayaw kahadlok, Zion. Ayaw tugoti nga maluya ang imong mga kamot.
In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: Fear not: to Sion: Let not thy hands be weakened.
17 Si Yahweh nga imong Dios anaa kanimo, ang kusgan nga moluwas kanimo. Magasaulog siya diha kanimo uban sa kalipay magmahinamon siya diha kanimo uban sa iyang gugma. Magmalipayon siya diha kanimo ug mosinggit siya sa kalipay,
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty, he will save: he will rejoice over thee with gladness, he will be silent in his love, he will be joyful over thee in praise.
18 sa gitakda nga adlaw sa kasaulogan. Kuhaon ko ang katalagman gikan kanimo; ug dili kana gayod maulawan tungod niini.
The triflers that were departed from the law, I will gather together, because they were of thee: that thou mayest no more suffer reproach for them.
19 Tan-awa, akong wagtangon ang tanang midaogdaog kanimo. Niana nga takna, luwason ko ang bakol ug tigomon ang sinalikway. Himoon ko silang mapasidunggan, ug wagtangon ko ang ilang kaulawan, himoon ko silang mabantog sa tibuok kalibotan.
Behold I will cut off all that have afflicted thee at that time: and I will save her that halteth, and will gather her that was cast out: and I will get them praise, and a name, in all the land where they had been put to confusion.
20 Niana nga takna giyahan ko kamo; niana nga takna tapukon ug usahon ko kamo. Himoon ko ang tanan nga kanasoran sa tibuok kalibotan nga motahod ug magadayeg kaninyo, makita ninyo nga gipasig-uli ko na kamo,” nagaingon si Yahweh.
At that time, when I will bring you: and at the time that I will gather you: for I will give you a name, and praise among all the people of the earth, when I shall have brought back your captivity before your eyes, saith the Lord.
