Zacarias 5
1 Unya milingi ako ug mihangad, ug nakita ko, ang naglupad nga linukot nga basahon!
I looked up again, and I saw a scroll that was flying [through the air].
2 Miingon ang anghel kanako, “Unsa man ang imong nakita?” Mitubag ako, “nakita ko ang naglupad nga linukot nga basahon, nga adunay 20 ka maniko ang katas-on ug 10 ka maniko ang kalapdon.”
The angel asked me, “What do you see?” I replied, “I see a flying scroll that is [huge], (10 yards/9 meters) long and (5 yards/4.5 meters) wide.”
3 Unya miingon siya kanako, “Mao kini ang tunglo nga mogawas ibabaw sa tibuok kayutaan, tungod kay pagawagtangon ang matag kawatan sumala sa giingon sa usa ka bahin, samtang ang matag usa nga misaad ug bakak nga panumpa wagtangon sumala sa giingon sa pikas bahin, sumala sa ilang mga pulong.
Then he said to me, “On this scroll is written the [words that Yahweh is speaking to] curse the entire country. On [one side of] the scroll it is written that every thief will be banished. On [the other side] it is written that everyone who tells a lie when he is solemnly promising to tell the truth will also be banished from the country.
4 “Ipadala ko kini—mao kini ang gipamulong ni Yahweh nga labawng makagagahom— busa mosulod kini didto sa balay sa kawatan ug didto sa balay sa usa nga nanaad ug bakak nga panumpa gamit ang akong ngalan. Magpabilin kini sa iyang balay ug ut-uton ang kahoy ug ang mga bato niini.”
The Commander of the armies of angels says, ‘I will send [copies of] this scroll to the places where thieves live and to the houses of those who use my name when they solemnly promise to tell the truth. [The copies of] this scroll will stay in their houses, until those houses and all their wood and stones are destroyed.’”
5 Unya migawas ang anghel nga nakigsulti kanako ug miingon, “Iyahat ang imong mga mata ug tan-awa kung unsa ang taliabot!”
Then the angel who had been talking to me came closer to me and said, “Look up and see what is appearing!”
6 Miingon ako, “Unsa kini?” Miingon siya, “mao kini ang bukag nga gisudlan sa sukdanan nga moabotay. Mao kini ang ilang kalapasan sa tibuok yuta.”
I asked him, “What is it?” He replied, “It is a big basket [for measuring grain]. But it represents the sins that everyone in this nation has committed.”
7 Unya gikuha ang tingga nga tabon sa bukag ug adunay babaye nga naglingkod ilalom niini!
Then [the angel] lifted the basket’s cover, [which was made] of lead. There was a woman sitting inside the basket!
8 Miingon ang anghel, “Mao kini ang Pagkadaotan!” Giitsa niya pabalik ang babaye pasulod ngadto sa bukag, ug gibutang niya ang tingga nga tabon ibabaw sa abrihanan niini.
The angel said, “She represents the wicked things [that people do].” Then the angel pushed her back into the basket and closed the very heavy lid [again].
9 Mihangad ako ug nakita ko ang duha ka babaye nga nagpadulong kanako, ug anaa ang hangin sa ilang mga pako—tungod kay aduna silay mga pako sama sa mga pako sa talabon. Gialsa nila ang bukag ngadto sa tungatunga sa yuta ug sa langit.
Then I looked up and saw two women in front of me. They [were flying toward us], with their wings spread out in the wind. Their wings were [large], like [SIM] storks’ wings. They lifted the big basket up into the sky.
10 Busa miingon ako sa anghel nga nakigsulti kanako, “Asa man nila dad-on ang bukag?”
I asked the angel who had been talking to me, “Where are they taking that basket?”
11 Miingon siya kanako, “Dad-on kini aron magtukod ug templo didto sa yuta sa Shinar, aron nga kung andam na ang templo, ipahimutang ang bukag didto sa giandam nga butanganan niini.”
He replied, “[They are taking it] to Babylonia to build a temple for it. When the temple is finished, they will set the basket there on a pedestal [for people to worship it].”
