Mga Salmo 87

1 Salmo sa mga anak ni Kora; usa ka awit. Sa balaang bukid nagbarog ang siyudad nga iyang gitukod;

The city that Yahweh established is on his sacred hill.

2 gihigugma ni Yahweh ang mga ganghaan sa Zion labaw sa tanang mga tolda ni Jacob.

He loves that city, Jerusalem, more than he loves any other city in Israel.

3 Mahimayaong mga butang ang gisulti mahitungod kanimo, siyudad sa Dios. (Selah)

[You people in] [APO] the city that God (owns/lives in), people say wonderful things about your city.

4 “Gihisgotan ko ang Rahab ug ang Babilonia sa akong mga sumusunod. Tan-awa, ang Filistia ug ang Tiro, uban ang Etiopia — ug moingon, 'Kini natawo didto.'”

[Some of those who know about God are the people of] Egypt and Babylonia, and also [the people of] Philistia and Tyre and Ethiopia; [some day they all] will say, “[Although I was not born in Jerusalem], [because I belong to Yahweh, it is as though] I was born there.”

5 Isulti kini ngadto sa Zion, “Ang matag usa niini nahimugso diha kaniya; ug ang Labing Halangdon mismo maoy molig-on kaniya.”

And concerning Jerusalem, people will say [“It is as though] everyone was born there, and Almighty God will cause that city to remain strong/safe/secure.”

6 Gisulat ni Yahweh sa libro sa mga nasod, “Kini natawo didto.” (Selah)

Yahweh will write a list of [the names of] the people of various groups [who belong to him], and he will say that [he considers them] all to be citizens of Jerusalem.

7 Busa ang mga mang-aawit ug ang magsasayaw nag-ingon, “Ang tanan kong tuboran anaa kanimo.”

They will all dance and sing, saying, “Jerusalem is the source of all our blessings.”
