Mga Salmo 83
1 Usa ka awit. Ang salmo ni Asaf. O Dios, ayaw pagpakahilom! Ayaw kami pasagdi ug magpabilin nga dili mairog, O Dios.
“A song or psalm of Assaph.” O God, take no rest for thyself: be not silent and keep not still, O God!
2 Tan-awa, ang imong mga kaaway nagbuhat ug kasamok, ug kadtong nasilag kanimo mipataas sa ilang mga ulo.
For, lo, thy enemies make a tumult, and they that hate thee have lifted up their head.
3 Nag-abin (sila) batok sa imong mga katawhan ug nagsabot batok sa imong mga gipanalipdan.
Against thy people they take crafty secret device, and they consult against those whom thou protectest.
4 Miingon (sila) “Dali kamo, laglagon ta (sila) ingon nga nasod. Ug ang ngalan nga Israel dili na gayod mahinumdoman.”
They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; and the name of Israel shall be remembered no more.
5 Nagplano (sila) ug usa ka pamaagi; batok kanimo naghimo (sila) ug panag-abin.
For they have consulted cordially together; against thee they make a covenant:
6 Naglakip kini sa mga tolda ni Edom ug sa mga Ismaelinhon, ug sa mga katawhan sa Moab ug sa mga Hagarnon, nga nakig-abin uban sa
The tents of Edom, and the Ishmaelites: Moab, and the Hagarenes;
7 Gebal, sa Amonihanon, sa Amalekanhon; lakip usab niini ang Filistia ug ang mga lumulupyo sa Tiro.
Gebal, and 'Ammon, and 'Amalek; the Philistines with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Nakig-abin usab kanila ang Assyria; gitabangan nila ang mga kaliwat ni Lot. (Selah)
Also Asshur is joined with them; they have become an arm unto the children of Lot. (Selah)
9 Buhata ngadto kanila ang sama sa gibuhat mo ngadto sa Midian, ug sama sa gibuhat mo sa Sisera ug sa Jabin didto sa Suba sa Kishon.
Do unto them as [unto] Midian; as to Sissera, as to Jabin, at the brook Kishon:
10 Nangahanaw (sila) didto sa Endor ug nahimong sama sa patambok sa yuta.
Who were annihilated at 'En-dor; they became as dung for the ground.
11 Himoa ang ilang kadagkoan nga mahisama kang Oreb ug Zeeb, ug ang tanan nilang mga prinsipe mahisama kang Zeba ug Zalmuna.
Render them, their nobles, like 'Oreb, and like Zeeb; yea, like Zebach and like Zalmunna' all their princes;
12 Miingon (sila) “Kuhaon nato alang sa atong kaugalingon ang sibsibanan sa Dios.”
Who said, Let us conquer for ourselves the dwellings of God,
13 O akong Dios, himoa (sila) nga daw nagkatag nga abog, sama sa uhot nga gipalid sa hangin,
O my God, render them like the thistle-down, like stubble before the wind.
14 sama sa kalayo nga misunog sa lasang, ug sama sa kalayo nga misilaob sa kabukiran.
As the fire burneth up a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire:
15 Gukora (sila) sa kusgan mong hangin, ug hadloka (sila) sa imong bagyo.
So pursue them with thy storm, and with thy whirlwind do thou terrify them.
16 Pun-a ang ilang mga nawong sa kaulaw aron ilang pangitaon ang imong ngalan, O Yahweh.
Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Lord!
17 Maulawan unta (sila) ug mangalisang sa walay kataposan; mangamatay unta (sila) nga walay dungog.
Let them be made ashamed and terrified for ever and aye; yea, let them be put to the blush and perish:
18 Unya masayod (sila) nga ikaw lang, O Yahweh, ang Labing Halangdon sa tibuok kalibotan.
That they may know that thou, whose name is the Eternal, art by thyself alone, the Most High over all the earth.
