Mga Salmo 75
1 Alang sa pangulong musikero; sumala sa Al Tasyet. Ang salmo ni Asaf, usa ka awit. Magapasalamat kami kanimo, O Dios; magapasalamat kami, kay gipadayag mo ang imong presensiya; ang mga tawo magasulti sa imong kahibulongang mga buhat.
We give thanks to you; our God, we thank you. You are close to us, and we proclaim to others the wonderful things that you have done [for us].
2 Sa gitakda nga panahon ako magahukom sa walay pinalabi.
[You have said], “I have appointed a time when I will judge people, and I will judge [everyone] fairly.
3 Bisan ang kalibotan ug ang tanang lumulupyo niini mangurog sa kahadlok, akong lig-onon ang mga haligi sa kalibotan. (Selah)
When the earth shakes and all the creatures on the earth tremble, I am the one who will (keep its foundations steady/prevent it from being destroyed).
4 Moingon ako ngadto sa mga garboso, “Ayaw pagpagarbo,” ug ngadto sa mga daotan, “Ayaw ipataas ang sungay.
I say to people who (boast/talk proudly about themselves), ‘Stop bragging!’ and I say to wicked people, ‘Do not proudly [do things to] show how great you are [IDM]!
5 Ayaw ipataas ang inyong sungay; ayaw pagsulti uban ang mapahitas-ong liog.”
Do not be arrogant, and do not speak so boastfully!’”
6 Dili gikan sa sidlakan o gikan sa kasadpan, ug kini dili gikan sa kamingawan nga ang pagbayaw moabot.
The one who judges people does not come from the east or from the west, and he does not come from the desert.
7 Apan ang Dios mao ang maghuhukom; siya ang magadala paubos ug siya ang magabayaw.
God is the one who judges people; he says that some have sinned and must be punished, and that others have not done what is wrong.
8 Tungod kay si Yahweh nagkupot ug kupa sa nagabulabula nga bino, nga sinagolan ug mga lamas, ug ibubo kini. Sigurado gayod nga ang tanang daotan sa kalibotan moinom niini hangtod sa kataposang tulo.
[It is as though] Yahweh holds a cup in his hand; it is filled with wine that [has spices] mixed in it [to cause those who drink it to become more drunk]; and when Yahweh pours it out, he will force all the wicked people to drink it; they will drink every drop of it, [which means that he will give them all the punishment that they deserve].
9 Apan magpadayon ako sa pagsulti kung unsa ang imong nabuhat; magaawit ako ug mga pagdayeg sa Dios ni Jacob.
But [as for me], I will never stop saying what the God whom Jacob [worshiped has done]; I will never quit singing to praise him.
10 Siya miingon, “Akong pagaputlon ang tanang sungay sa daotan, apan ang mga sungay sa mga matarong igabayaw.”
He will destroy the power [IDM] of wicked people, but he will cause righteous people to become more powerful.
