Mga Salmo 52
1 Nganong nagpasigarbo ka man sa paghimog kagubot, kusgan ka ba diay nga lalaki? Ang matinud-anong kasabotan sa Dios moabot matag adlaw.
“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David, when Doeg, the Edomite, came and told Saul, and said to him, David is come to the house of Abimelech.” Why gloriest thou in mischief, thou man of violence? The goodness of God yet continueth daily.
2 Ang imong dila naglaraw ug pagguba sama sa hait nga labaha, nga nanglimbong.
Thy tongue deviseth mischief, Like a sharp razor, thou contriver of deceit!
3 Nahigugma ka sa daotan labaw pa sa maayo, ug sa pagpamakak kaysa sa pagsultig pagkamatarong. (Selah)
Thou lovest evil more than good, And to lie more than to speak truth. (Pause)
4 Nahigugma ka sa pulong nga nagalamoy sa uban, ikaw nga malimbongong dila.
Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue!
5 Ang Dios usab magalaglag kanimo hangtod sa kahangtoran; kuhaon ka niya ug sakmiton ka sa imong tolda ug ibton ka gikan sa yuta sa mga buhi. (Selah)
Thee also shall God utterly destroy! o He shall seize thee, and tear thee from thy dwelling-place, And uproot thee from the land of the living. (Pause)
6 Ang mga matarong makakita usab niini ug mangahadlok; kataw-an nila siya ug moingon;
The righteous shall see and fear, And shall laugh at him.
7 “Tan-awa, mao kini ang tawo nga wala naghimo sa Dios nga iyang dalangpanan, apan nagsalig siya sa kadagaya sa iyang bahandi, ug kusgan siya sa dihang iyang giguba ang uban.”
“Behold the man that made not God his strength, But trusted in the abundance of his riches, And placed his strength in his wickedness!”
8 Apan alang kanako, sama ako sa lunhaw nga kahoy nga olibo sa balay sa Dios; magsalig ako sa matinud-anong kasabotan sa Dios sa walay kataposan.
But I shall be like a green olive-tree in the house of God; I will trust in the goodness of God for ever and ever.
9 Magpasalamat ako kanimo sa walay kataposan tungod sa imong nabuhat. Magahulat ako sa imong ngalan, kay maayo kini, sa atubangan sa imong diosnon nga mga katawhan.
I will praise thee for ever for what thou hast done; I will trust in thy name, because it is good, Before the eyes of thy godly ones!
