Mga Salmo 21

1 Alang sa pangulong musikero. Ang salmo ni David. Maglipay ang hari diha sa imong kusog, O Yahweh! Pagkadako gayod sa iyang kalipay sa kaluwasan nga imong gihatag!

“For the leader of the music. A psalm of David.” The king rejoiceth in thy strength, O LORD! Yea, he doth greatly exult in thy protection.

2 Ikaw ang naghatag kaniya sa gipangandoy sa iyang kasingkasing ug wala ka nagdumili sa gihangyo sa iyang mga ngabil. (Sela)

Thou hast given him his heart's desire, And hast not denied him the request of his lips. (Pause)

3 Kay ikaw ang nagdala kaniya sa daghang panalangin; gipurongpurongan mo siya ug lunlon bulawan.

Yea, thou hast met him with rich blessings, Thou hast placed a crown of pure gold upon his head.

4 Nangayo siya ug kinabuhi; gihatag mo kini kaniya; gilugwayan mo pa siya sa taas nga mga adlaw hangtod sa walay kataposan.

He asked life of thee; thou gavest it him; Even long life, enduring for ever.

5 Dako ang iyang himaya tungod sa imong kadaogan; gihatag mo kaniya ang imong katahom ug kahalangdon.

Great is his glory through thine aid; Honor and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

6 Kay gihatag mo kaniya ang molungtad nga mga panalangin; gilipay mo siya uban ang kalipay diha sa imong presensya.

Thou hast made him blessed for evermore; Thou hast made him glad with the joy of thy countenance.

7 Kay ang hari nagsalig kang Yahweh; pinaagi sa matinud-anong kasabotan sa Labing Halangdon dili siya matarog.

For the king trusteth in the LORD; And through the goodness of the Most High he shall never fall.

8 Ang imong kamot modakop sa tanan mong kaaway; ang imong tuong kamot modakop niadtong nagdumot kanimo.

Thy hand shall overtake all thine enemies; Thy right hand shall overtake them that hate thee.

9 Sa panahon sa imong kasuko, pagasunogon mo (sila) sama sa nagdilaab nga hudno. Gipukan (sila) ni Yahweh sa iyang kapungot, ug ang kalayo magaut-ot kanila.

Thou wilt make them like a burning oven in the time of thine anger; Jehovah shall swallow them up in his wrath, And the fire shall devour them.

10 Pagalaglagon mo ang ilang mga anak gikan sa yuta ug ang ilang kaliwatan diha sa katawhan.

Their offspring shalt thou destroy from the earth, And their posterity from the sons of men.

11 Kay gitinguha nila ang daotan batok kanimo; naglaraw (sila) nga dili magmalampuson!

For they spread a net of mischief against thee; They devised plots against thee, but they did not prevail.

12 Kay ikaw ang magpapauli kanila; gipunting mo ang imong pana batok kanila.

Therefore thou wilt cause them to turn their backs; Thou wilt make ready thine arrows upon the strings against them.

13 Bayawon ka, O Yahweh, diha sa imong kusog; magaawit ug magadayeg kami sa imong gahom.

Exalt thyself, O LORD! by thy strength! So will we sing, and praise thy mighty deeds.
