Mga Salmo 14
1 Alang sa pangulong musikero. Ang salmo ni David. Ang buangbuang moingon sa iyang kasingkasing, “Wala gayoy Dios,” Malimbongon (sila) ug nagbuhat sa makauulaw nga pagpakasala; walay bisan usa nga nagbuhat ug maayo.
[Only] foolish people say to themselves, “There is no God!” People who say those things are corrupt/worthless; they do abominable/detestable deeds; there is not one [of them] who does what is good/right.
2 Si Yahweh nagatan-aw gikan sa langit ngadto sa mga anak sa tawo aron sa pagpangita kung aduna bay nakasabot, nga nangita kaniya.
Yahweh looks down from heaven and sees humans; he looks to see if anyone is very wise, with the result that he desires [to know] God.
3 Nahisalaag silang tanan. Ug nadunot silang tanan. Walay bisan usa nga nagbuhat ug maayo, wala gayod bisan usa.
But they are all corrupt/evil; no one does what is good/right.
4 Wala ba silay bisan unsang nahibaloan, kadtong nagpakasala, kadtong milamoy sa akong katawhan sama nga mikaon (sila) sa tinapay, apan wala magtawag kang Yahweh?
Will those evil people never learn [what God will do to punish them] [RHQ]? They act violently toward Yahweh’s people while eating the food that he provides, and they never pray to Yahweh.
5 Nangurog (sila) sa kahadlok, kay ang Dios anaa man sa panagtigom sa mga matarong!
But [some day] they will become very terrified because God helps those who act righteously [and will punish those who reject him].
6 Buot ninyong pakaulawan ang tawong kabos bisan pa kung si Yahweh ang iyang dalangpanan.
Those who do evil may prevent helpless people from doing what they plan to do, but Yahweh protects those helpless people [MET].
7 O, kana nga kaluwasan sa Israel moabot pa unta gikan sa Zion! Sa dihang bawion na ni Yahweh ang iyang mga katawhan gikan sa pagkabihag, unya magmaya si Jacob ug magmalipayon ang Israel!
I wish/desire that [Yahweh] would come from Jerusalem [MTY] and rescue [us] Israeli people! Yahweh, when you bless your people again, all of us Israeli people, who are the descendants of Jacob, will rejoice.
