Mga Salmo 124

1 “Kung wala pa modapig si Yahweh kanato,” tugoti ang Israelita nga mosulti karon,

A Canticle in steps. If the Lord had not been with us, let Israel now say it:

2 “kung wala pa modapig si Yahweh kanato sa dihang ang atong mga kaaway mitungha batok kanato,

if the Lord had not been with us, when men rose up against us,

3 gilamoy na unta kita nila nga buhi sa dihang misilaob ang ilang kaligutgot kanato.

perhaps they would have swallowed us alive. When their fury was enraged against us,

4 Gibanlas na unta kita sa tubig; nalapawan na unta kita sa baha.

perhaps the waters would have engulfed us.

5 Nalumos na unta kita sa sulog nga tubig.”

Our soul has passed through a torrent. Perhaps, our soul had even passed through intolerable water.

6 Dalaygon si Yahweh, nga wala mitugot nga wataswatason kita pinaagi sa ilang mga ngipon.

Blessed is the Lord, who has not given us into the harm of their teeth.

7 Sama kita sa mga langgam nga nakaikyas sa lit-ag sa mga mangangayam; ang lit-ag naguba, ug kita nakaikyas.

Our soul has been snatched away like a sparrow from the snare of the hunters. The snare has been broken, and we have been freed.

8 Ang atong panabang anaa kang Yahweh, nga maoy nagbuhat sa langit ug kalibotan.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
