Mga Salmo 116
1 Gihigugma ko si Yahweh tungod kay iyang nadungog ang akong tingog ug ang akong pagpakiluoy.
It is lovely to me that the Lord heareth my voice, my supplications.
2 Tungod kay naminaw siya kanako, magtawag ako kaniya hangtod nga buhi pa ako.
For he hath inclined his ear unto me: therefore throughout all my days will I call on him.
3 Ang hikot sa kamatayon nagpalibot kanako ug ang lit-ag sa Seol nagpaduol kanako; gibati ko ang kasakit ug kaguol. (Sheol h7585)
The bands of death had compassed me, and the pangs of the nether world had overtaken me; I had met with distress and sorrow: (Sheol h7585)
4 Unya mitawag ako sa ngalan ni Yahweh: “Palihog Yahweh, luwasa ang akong kinabuhi.”
I then called on the name of the Lord, I beseech thee, O Lord, release my soul.
5 Si Yahweh maluloy-on ug makiangayon; ang atong Dios maluloy-on.
Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; and our God is merciful.
6 Panalipdan ni Yahweh ang mga dili makapanalipod sa ilang kaugalingon; gipaubos ako, ug iya akong giluwas.
The Lord preserveth the simple: I was in misery, and he helped me.
7 Ang akong kalag mahimo nang mobalik sa iyang dapit nga kapahulayan, tungod kay maayo gayod si Yahweh kanako.
Return, O my soul, unto thy rest; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 Kay imong giluwas ang akong kinabuhi gikan sa kamatayon, ang akong mga mata gikan sa mga luha, ug ang akong mga tiil gikan sa pagkapandol.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from falling.
9 Alagaran ko si Yahweh sa yuta sa mga buhi.
I will walk before the Lord in the land of life.
10 Mituo ako kaniya, bisan sa higayon nga misulti ako, “Hilabihan ang akong kasakit.”
I believe, therefore will I speak: I was greatly afflicted;
11 Dali akong misulti, “Ang tanang tawo mga bakakon.”
I indeed said in my despondency, Every man is a liar.
12 Unsaon ko man pagbayad si Yahweh sa tanan niyang kaayo kanako?
What shall I give in return unto the Lord for all his bounties toward me?
13 Ipataas ko ang kopa sa kaluwasan, ug motawag sa ngalan ni Yahweh.
The cup of salvation will I lift up, and on the name of the Lord will I call.
14 Tumanon ko ang akong mga saad kang Yahweh sa atubangan sa tanan niyang katawhan.
My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people.
15 Bililhon sa panan-aw ni Yahweh ang kamatayon sa iyang mga balaan.
Grievous in the eyes of the Lord is the death of his pious ones.
16 Tinuod gayod, Yahweh, ako imong sulugoon; ako imong alagad, ang anak nga lalaki sa imong sulugoon nga babaye; gikuha mo ang akong mga gapos.
O Lord, truly am I thy servant, I am thy servant, —the son of thy handmaid: thou hast loosened my fetters.
17 Ihalad ko kanimo ang halad sa pagpasalamat ug motawag sa ngalan ni Yahweh.
Unto thee will I offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and on the name of the Lord will I call.
18 Tumanon ko ang akong mga saad kang Yahweh atubangan sa tanan niyang katawhan,
My vows will I pay unto the Lord, yea, in the presence of all his people,
19 sa hawanan sa panimalay ni Yahweh, sa imong taliwala, Jerusalem. Dayega si Yahweh.
In the courts of the house of the Lord, in thy midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
