Numerus 32
1 Karon ang mga kaliwat ni Reuben ug ni Gad adunay daghang binuhing mananap. Sa dihang nakita nila ang yuta sa Jazer ug Gilead, ang yuta nindot nga dapit alang sa binuhi nga mga mananap.
Now the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle. And when they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle,
2 Busa ang mga kaliwat ni Gad ug Reuben miduol ug nakigsulti kang Moises, ug kang Eleazar nga pari, ug ngadto sa mga pangulo sa katawhan. Miingon sila,
the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben came and spoke to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the rulers of the congregation, saying,
3 “Mao kini ang listahan sa mga dapit nga among nasusi: Atarot, Dibon, Jazer, Nimra, Heshbon, Eleale, Sebam, Nebo, ug Beon.
Ataroth, and Dibon, and Jazer, and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Sebam, and Nebo, and Beon,
4 Mao kini ang mga yuta nga gisulong ni Yahweh atubangan sa katawhan sa Israel, ug maayo kini nga mga dapit alang sa binuhi nga mga mananap. Kami, nga imong mga sulugoon, adunay daghang mga binuhi nga mananap.”
the land which Jehovah smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle.
5 Miingon sila, “Kung nakakita kami ug kaluoy gikan sa imong pana-aw, ihatag mo unta kining yutaa kanamo, nga imong mga sulugoon, ingon nga panag-iyahon. Ayaw na kami palabanga sa Jordan.”
And they said, If we have found favor in thy sight, let this land be given to thy servants for a possession. Bring us not over the Jordan.
6 Mitubag si Moises sa mga kaliwat ni Gad ug Reuben, “Kinahanglan ba nga moadto ang inyong mga igsoon nga lalaki sa gubat samtang nagpahimutang lang kamo dinhi?
And Moses said to the sons of Gad, and to the sons of Reuben, Shall your brothers go to the war, and shall ye sit here?
7 Nganong gipakawad-an man ninyo ug paglaom ang mga kasingkasing sa katawhan sa Israel sa dili pag-adto sa yuta nga gihatag ni Yahweh kanila?
And why do ye discourage the heart of the sons of Israel from going over into the land which Jehovah has given them?
8 Ang inyong mga amahan nagbuhat sa samang butang sa dihang gipadala ko sila gikan sa Kadesh Barnea aron sa pagsusi sa yuta.
Thus did your fathers when I sent them from Kadesh-barnea to see the land.
9 Nangadto sila sa walog sa Escol. Nakita nila ang yuta ug unya gipakawad-an nila ug paglaom ang mga kasingkasing sa katawhan sa Israel mao nga midumili sila sa pagsulod sa yuta nga gihatag ni Yahweh kanila.
For when they went up to the valley of Eshcol, and saw the land, they discouraged the heart of the sons of Israel, that they should not go into the land which Jehovah had given them.
10 Misilaob ang kasuko ni Yahweh niana nga adlaw. Nanumpa ug miingon siya,
And Jehovah's anger was kindled in that day, and he swore, saying,
11 'Sa pagkatinuod walay bisan usa nga makalingkawas gikan sa Ehipto, nga nagpangidaron ug 20 pataas, nga makakita sa yuta nga akong gisaad kang Abraham, kang Isaac, ug kang Jacob, tungod kay wala sila misunod kanako sa hingpit, gawas kang
Surely none of the men who came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me,
12 Caleb nga anak ni Jefune nga Kenizihanon, ug kang Josue nga anak ni Nun. Si Caleb ug si Josue lamang ang hingpit misunod kanako.'
except Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun, because they have wholly followed Jehovah.
13 Busa misilaob ang kasuko ni Yahweh batok sa Israel. Gipalatagaw niya sila libot sa kamingawan sulod sa 40 ka katuigan hangtod nga ang tanang kaliwatan nga nakabuhat ug daotan sa iyang panan-aw nangamatay.
And Jehovah's anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander to and fro in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of Jehovah was consumed.
14 Tan-awa, mibarog kamo sa dapit sa inyong mga katigulangan, sama sa makasasala kaayo nga mga tawo, nga nagpadugang sa kasuko ni Yahweh ngadto sa Israel.
And, behold, ye are risen up in your fathers' stead, an increase of sinful men, to augment yet the fierce anger of Jehovah toward Israel.
15 Kung magabiya kamo gikan sa pagsunod kaniya, biyaan niya pag-usab ang Israel didto sa kamingawan ug laglagon ninyo kini nga mga katawhan.”
For if ye turn away from after him, he will yet again leave them in the wilderness, and ye will destroy all this people.
16 Busa miduol sila kang Moises ug miingon, “Tugoti kami sa pagtukod dinhi ug mga kural alang sa among mga baka ug mga siyudad alang sa among mga pamilya.
And they came near to him, and said, We will build sheepfolds here for our cattle, and cities for our little ones,
17 Apan, mangandam kami ug mosul-ob sa hinagiban uban sa kasundalohan sa Israel hangtod nga magiyahan namo sila ngadto sa ilang dapit. Apan ang among mga pamilya magpuyo sa lig-ong mga siyudad tungod sa ubang katawhan nga nagpabiling buhi niining yutaa.
but we ourselves will be ready armed to go before the sons of Israel, until we have brought them to their place. And our little ones shall dwell in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
18 Dili kami mobalik sa among mga balay hangtod nga ang matag-usa sa mga tawo sa Israel makaangkon sa iyang panulundon.
We will not return to our houses until the sons of Israel have inherited every man his inheritance.
19 Dili namo mapanunod ang yuta uban kanila sa pikas nga bahin sa Jordan, tungod kay ang among panulundon anaa dinhi sa silangang bahin sa Jordan.”
For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan, and forward, because our inheritance is fallen to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.
20 Busa mitubag si Moises kanila, “kung buhaton ninyo ang inyong gisulti, kung sul-uban ninyo ang inyong mga kaugalingon ug hinagiban sa atubangan ni Yahweh ngadto sa gubat,
And Moses said to them, If ye will do this thing, if ye will arm yourselves to go before Jehovah to the war,
21 unya ang matag-usa sa inyong sinul-oban ug hinagiban nga mga tawo kinahanglan nga molabang sa Jordan sa atubangan ni Yahweh, hangtod nga mapagawas niya ang iyang mga kaaway gikan sa iyang atubangan
and every armed man of you will pass over the Jordan before Jehovah, until he has driven out his enemies from before him,
22 ug ang yuta mailog sa iyang atubangan. Unya human niana mahimo na kamong mamalik. Mahimo kamong walay sala ngadto kang Yahweh ug ngadto sa Israel. Kining yutaa mahimong mapanag-iya ninyo sa atubangan ni Yahweh.
and the land is subdued before Jehovah, then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless towards Jehovah, and towards Israel, and this land shall be to you for a possession before Jehovah.
23 Apan kung dili ninyo kana himoon, hibaloi, makasala gayod kamo batok kang Yahweh. Busa siguroha nga ang inyong sala mapapas.
But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against Jehovah, and be sure your sin will find you out.
24 Pagtukod ug mga siyudad alang sa inyong mga pamilya ug mga pasungan sa inyong mga karnero; unya buhata kung unsa ang inyong giingon.”
Build for you cities for your little ones, and folds for your sheep, and do that which has proceeded out of your mouth.
25 Ang mga kaliwat ni Gad ug Reuben nakigsulti kang Moises ug miingon, “Pagabuhaton sa imong mga sulugoon ingon sa sugo nimo nga among agalon.
And the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, Thy servants will do as my lord commands.
26 Ang among mga anak, ang among mga asawa, ang among mga panon, ug tanan namong mga mananap magpabilin didto sa mga siyudad sa Gilead.
Our little ones, our wives, our flocks, and all our cattle, shall be there in the cities of Gilead,
27 Apan, kami, nga imong mga sulugoon, motabok uban ni Yahweh aron sa pakiggubat, ang matag lalaki nga sangkap ug hinagiban alang sa gubat, sumala sa imong giingon, among agalon.”
but thy servants will pass over, every man who is armed for war, before Jehovah to battle, as my lord says.
28 Busa nagpahimangno si Moises kanila mahitungod kang Eleazar nga pari, kang Josue nga anak ni Nun, ug ngadto sa mga katigulangan sa mga banay nga mga tribo sa katawhan sa Israel.
So Moses gave charge concerning them to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel.
29 Miingon si Moises kanila, “Kung molabang ang mga kaliwat ni Gad ug Reuben sa Jordan uban kaninyo, ang matag lalaki nga sinangkapan ug hinagiban aron makiggubat sa atubangan ni Yahweh, ug kung ang yuta mailog na ninyo, diha pa dayon ninyo ihatag kanila ang yuta sa Gilead ingon nga panag-iyahon.
And Moses said to them, If the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every man that is armed to battle, before Jehovah, and the land shall be subdued before you, then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession,
30 Apan kung dili sila molabang uban kaninyo nga nagdala ug hinagiban, mapanag-iya nila ang ilang mga katigayunan taliwala kaninyo ngadto sa yuta sa Canaan.”
but if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the land of Canaan.
31 Busa mitubag ug miingon ang kaliwatan ni Gad ug Reuben, “Sama sa giingon ni Yahweh kanamo, ang imong mga sulugoon, mao kini ang among buhaton.
And the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben answered, saying, As Jehovah has said to thy servants, so we will do.
32 Molabang kami nga sangkap ug hinagiban sa atubangan ni Yahweh didto sa yuta sa Canaan, apan ang among naangkon nga panulundon magpabiling amoa, dinhi nga bahin sa Jordan.”
We will pass over armed before Jehovah into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance is with us beyond the Jordan.
33 Busa ngadto sa mga kaliwatan ni Gad ug Reuben, ug usab ngadto sa katunga sa tribo ni Manases nga anak ni Jose, gihatag ni Moises ang gingharian ni Sihon, ang hari sa Amorihanon, ug ang kang Og, ang hari sa Bashan. Gihatag niya ngadto kanila ang yuta, ug gibahinbahin ngadto kanila ang tanan niini nga mga siyudad uban ang ilang mga utlanan, ang mga siyudad sa yuta nga libot kanila.
And Moses gave to them, even to the sons of Gad, and to the sons of Reuben, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, according to the cities of it with their borders, even the cities of the land round about.
34 Nagtukod pag-usab ang mga kaliwat ni Gad sa Dibon, sa Atarot, sa Aroer,
And the sons of Gad built Dibon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
35 sa Atrot Shofan, sa Jazer, sa Jogbeha,
and Atrothshophan, and Jazer, and Jogbehah,
36 sa Bet Nimra, ug sa Bet Haran ingon nga lig-ong mga siyudad nga may mga pasungan alang sa mga karnero.
and Beth-nimrah, and Beth-haran: fortified cities, and folds for sheep.
37 Ang mga kaliwat ni Reuben nagtukod pag-usab sa Heshbon, Eleale, Kiriataim,
And the sons of Reuben built Heshbon, and Elealeh, and Kiriathaim,
38 Nebo, Baal Meon—kadugayan ang ilang mga ngalan gipang-usab, ug ang Sibma. Gihatagan nila ug laing mga ngalan ang mga siyudad nga ilang gitukod pag-usab.
and Nebo, and Baal-meon, (their names being changed, ) and Sibmah. And they gave other names to the cities which they built.
39 Ang mga kaliwat ni Makir nga anak nga lalaki ni Manases miadto sa Gilead ug gikuha nila kini gikan sa mga Amorihanon nga nagpuyo niini.
And the sons of Machir the son of Manasseh went to Gilead, and took it, and dispossessed the Amorites that were in it.
40 Unya gihatag ni Moises ang Gilead ngadto kang Makir nga anak nga lalaki ni Manases, ug ang iyang katawhan nagpuyo didto.
And Moses gave Gilead to Machir the son of Manasseh, and he dwelt in it.
41 Si Jair nga anak nga lalaki ni Manases miadto ug gikuha ang mga lungsod ug gitawag sila nga Havot Jair.
And Jair the son of Manasseh went and took the towns of it, and called them Havvoth-jair.
42 Miadto si Noba ug gikuha ang Kenat ug ang mga baryo niini, ug gitawag kini nga Noba, nga sama sa iyang kaugalingong ngalan.
And Nobah went and took Kenath, and the villages of it, and called it Nobah, after his own name.
