Numerus 21
1 Sa dihang ang Canaanhon nga hari sa Arad, nga nagpuyo sa Negeb, nakadungog nga ang mga Israelita nanglakaw paingon sa Atarim, nakig-away siya batok sa Israel ug gipangkuha ang pipila nga ilang nabihag.
When King Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt toward the South, heard tel that Israel came by the way of the spies, then fought hee against Israel, and tooke of them prysoners.
2 Nanumpa ang Israel kang Yahweh ug miingon, “Kung imo kaming hatagan ug kadaogan niini nga mga katawhan, gun-obon gayod namo ang ilang mga siyudad.”
So Israel vowed a vowe vnto the Lord, and said, If thou wilt deliuer and giue this people into mine hand, then I wil vtterly destroy their cities.
3 Gipaminaw ni Yahweh ang tingog sa Israel ug gihatagan niya sila ug kadaogan batok sa mga Canaanhon. Nagun-ob gayod nila sila ug ang ilang mga siyudad. Kadto nga dapit gitawag nga Horma.
And the Lord heard the voyce of Israel, and deliuered them the Canaanites: and they vtterly destroied them and their cities, and called ye name of the place Hormah.
4 Mipanaw sila gikan sa Bukid sa Hor agi sa dalan sa Dagat nga Kabugangan aron sa paglibot ngadto sa yuta sa Edomea. Nawad-an na gayod ug paglaom ang katawhan didto sa dalan.
After, they departed from the mount Hor by the way of the red Sea, to compasse the land of Edom: and the people were sore grieued because of the way.
5 Misulti ang mga katawhan batok sa Dios ug kang Moises: “Nganong gidala man nimo kami pagawas sa Ehipto aron lang mamatay dinhi sa kamingawan? Walay tinapay, walay tubig, ug nasum-olan na kami niining walay lami nga pagkaon.”
And the people spake against God and against Moses, saying, Wherefore haue ye brought vs out of Egypt, to die in the wildernesse? for here is neither bread nor water, and our soule lotheth this light bread.
6 Unya nagpadala si Yahweh ngadto sa katawhan ug malala nga mga bitin. Gipamaak sa mga bitin ang mga tawo; daghang mga tawo ang nangamatay.
Wherefore the Lord sent fierie serpents among ye people, which stung the people: so that many of the people of Israel died.
7 Miadto kang Moises ang katawhan ug miingon, “Nakasala kami tungod kay misulti kami batok kang Yahweh ug kanimo. Pag-ampo kang Yahweh aron nga iyang kuhaon ang mga bitin palayo gikan kanamo.” Busa miampo si Moises alang sa katawhan.
Therefore the people came to Moses and said, We haue sinned: for wee haue spoken against the Lord, and against thee: pray to the Lord, that he take away the serpents from vs: and Moses prayed for the people.
8 Miingon si Yahweh kang Moises, “Paghimo ug daw bitin ug ibutang kini ngadto sa tukon. Mahitabo kini nga ang tanan mapaakan magpabiling buhi, kung motan-aw siya niini.”
And the Lord said vnto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it vp for a signe, that as many as are bitten, may looke vpon it, and liue.
9 “Busa nagbuhat si Moises ug tumbaga nga bitin ug gibutang kini sa tukon. Sa dihang mapaakan sa bitin ang si bisan kinsa nga tawo, kung motan-aw siya sa tumbaga nga bitin, mabuhi siya.
So Moses made a serpent of brasse, and set it vp for a signe: and when a serpent had bitten a man, then he looked to the serpent of brasse, and liued.
10 Unya ang mga katawhan sa Israel mipadayon sa pagpanaw ug nagkampo didto sa Obot.
And ye children of Israel departed thence, and pitched in Oboth.
11 Mibiya sila gikan didto ug nagkampo sa kamingawan sa Iye Abarim nga nag-atubang sa Moab padulong sa sidlakan.
And they departed from Oboth, and pitched in lie-abarim, in the wildernesse, which is before Moab on the Eastside.
12 Gikan didto mipadayon sila sa pagpanaw ug nagkampo sa walog sa Zered.
They remoued thence, and pitched vpon the riuer of Zared.
13 Gikan didto mipadayon sila sa pagpanaw ug nagkampo sa laing bahin sa Suba sa Arnon, didto sa kamingawan nga sumpay gikan sa utlanan sa mga Amorihanon. Ang Suba sa Arnon nahimo nga utlanan sa Moab, taliwala sa Moab ug sa mga Amorihanon.
Thence they departed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wildernesse, and commeth out of the coasts of the Amorites: (for Arnon is the border of Moab, betweene the Moabites and the Amorites)
14 Mao nga ginaingon sa linukot nga basahon sa mga gubat ni Yahweh, “Waheb sa Sufa, ug sa mga walog sa Arnon,
Wherefore it shall be spoken in the booke of the battels of the Lord, what thing he did in the red sea, and in the riuers of Arnon,
15 ang bakilid sa mga walog nga magagiya padulong sa lungsod sa Ar ug palugsong ngadto sa utlanan sa Moab.”
And at the streame of the riuers that goeth downe to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth vpon the border of Moab.
16 Gikan didto mipanaw sila padulong sa Beer, nga diin atua didto ang atabay nga giingon ni Yahweh kang Moises. “Tigoma ang mga tawo kay hatagan ko sila ug tubig.”
And from thence they turned to Beer: the same is the well where the Lord said vnto Moses, Assemble the people, and I wil giue them water.
17 Unya ang Israel miawit niini nga awit: “Pagtubod, atabay. Pag-awit mahitungod niini.
Then Israel sang this song, Rise vp well, sing ye vnto it.
18 Ang atabay nga gikalot sa atong mga pangulo, ang atabay nga gikalot sa mga bantogan nga mga tawo pinaagi sa ilang setro ug sa ilang mga sungkod.” Unya gikan sa kamingawan mipanaw sila paingon sa Matana.
The princes digged this well, the captaines of the people digged it, euen the lawe giuer, with their staues. And from the wildernesse they came to Mattanah,
19 Gikan sa Matana mipanaw sila paingon sa Nahaliel, ug gikan sa Nahaliel paingon sa Bamot,
And from Mattanah to Nahaliel, and from Nahaliel to Bamoth,
20 ug gikan sa Bamot paingon sa walog sa yuta sa Moab. Mao kana nga diin ang tumoy sa Bukid sa Pisga nga nagdungaw sa kamingawan.
And from Bamoth in the valley, that is in the plaine of Moab, to the top of Pisgah that looketh toward Ieshimon.
21 Unya nagpadala ang Israel ug mga mensahero ngadto kang Sihon ang hari sa mga Amorihanon nga nag-ingon,
Then Israel sent messengers vnto Sihon, King of the Amorites, saying,
22 “Paagiha kami sa imong yuta. Dili kami motipas ngadto sa uma o parasan. Dili kami moinom ug tubig gikan sa inyong mga atabay. Manglakaw kami agi sa dakong dalan sa hari hangtod nga makatabok kami sa inyong utlanan.”
Let me goe through thy land: we wil not turne aside into the fieldes, nor into the vineyardes, neither drinke of the waters of ye welles: we will goe by the kings way, vntill we be past thy countrey.
23 Apan wala mitugot si Haring Sihon nga moagi ang Israel agi sa ilang utlanan. Hinuon, gitigom ni Sihon ang tanan niyang kasundalohan ug gisulong ang Israel ngadto sa kamingawan. Miadto siya sa Jahas, diin nakig-away siya batok sa Israel.
But Sihon gaue Israel no licence to passe through his countrey, but Sihon assembled all his people, and went out against Israel into the wildernesse: and he came to Iahoz, and fought against Israel.
24 Gisulong sa Israel ang kasundalohan sa Sihon uban sa hait nga espada ug giilog ang ilang yuta gikan sa Arnon ngadto sa suba sa Jaboc, paingon sa yuta sa katawhan sa Ammon. Karon ang utlanan sa tanan sa katawhan sa Ammon lig-on.
But Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and conquered his land, from Arnon vnto Iabok, euen vnto ye children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.
25 Gikuha sa Israel ang tanang siyudad sa Amorihanon ug namuyo ang tanan kanila, lakip ang Hesbon ug ang tanan nga mga baryo niini.
And Israel tooke al these cities, and dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites in Heshbon and in all the villages thereof.
26 Ang Hesbon mao ang siyudad ni Sihon nga hari sa mga Amorihanon, nga nakig-away batok sa kanhing hari sa Moab. Gikuha ni Sihon ang tanan nga iyang yuta gikan sa iyang ginsakopang yuta ngadto sa Suba sa Arnon.
For Heshbon was the citie of Sihon the king of the Amorites, which had fought beforetime against the king of the Moabites, and had taken al his land out of his hand, euen vnto Arnon.
27 Mao nga kadtong nagasulti sa mga panultihon nag-ingon, “Adto kamo sa Hesbon. Tukora pag-usab ang siyudad sa Sihon ug patindoga pag-usab.
Wherefore they that speake in prouerbes, say, Come to Heshbon, let the citie of Sihon bee built and repaired:
28 Ang nagdilaab nga kalayo nga gikan sa Hesbon, ang kalayo nga gikan sa siyudad sa Sihon nga milamoy sa Ar sa Moab, ug sa mga tag-iya sa habog nga mga dapit sa Arnon.
For a fire is gone out of Heshbon, and a flame from the citie of Sihon, and hath consumed Ar of the Moabites, and the lords of Bamoth in Arnon.
29 Pagkaalaot nimo, Moab! Nahanaw kamo, katawhan ni Cemos. Iyang gihimo ang iyang mga anak nga lalaki nga magtagotago ug ang iyang mga anak nga babaye nga mabinilanggo ni Sihon ang hari sa mga Amorihanon.
Wo be to thee, Moab: O people of Chemosh, thou art vndone: he hath suffered his sonnes to be pursued, and his daughters to be in captiuitie to Sihon the king of the Amorites.
30 Apan gilupig na namo ang Sihon. Nagun-ob ang Hesbon ang tanan padulong sa Dibon. Nabuntog na namo sila padulong sa Nopa, nga sangko ngadto sa Medeba.”
Their empire also is lost from Heshbon vnto Dibon, and wee haue destroyed them vnto Nophah, which reacheth vnto Medeba.
31 Busa misugod ang Israel sa pagpuyo sa yuta sa mga Amorihanon.
Thus Israel dwelt in the lande of the Amorites.
32 Unya nagpadala si Moises ug tawo nga motan-aw sa Jazer. Giilog nila ang mga baryo niini ug giabog ang mga Amorihanon nga atua didto.
And Moses sent to searche out Iaazer, and they tooke the townes belonging thereto, and rooted out the Amorites that were there.
33 Unya miliko ug mitungas sila agi sa dalan paingon sa Basan. Miadto si Og nga hari sa Basan ug nakigbatok kanila, siya ug ang tanan niya nga kasundalohan, aron sa pagpakig-away kanila ngadto sa Edrei.
And they turned and went vp toward Bashan: and Og the King of Bashan came out against them, hee, and all his people, to fight at Edrei.
34 Unya miingon si Yahweh kang Moises, “Ayaw kahadlok kaniya, tungod kay gihatag ko kanimo ang kadaogan batok kaniya, ang tanan niyang kasundalohan, ug ang iyang yuta. Buhata ngadto kaniya ang sama sa inyong gibuhat ngadto kang Sihon nga hari sa mga Amorihanon, nga nagpuyo sa Hesbon.”
Then the Lord said vnto Moses, Feare him not: for I haue deliuered him into thine hand and all his people, and his land: and thou shalt do to him as thou diddest vnto Sihon the king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.
35 Busa gipatay nila siya, ang iyang mga anak nga lalaki, ug ang tanan niyang kasundalohan, hangtod nga wala nay nahibilin sa iyang katawhan nga buhi. Unya giilog nila ang iyang yuta.
They smote him therefore, and his sonnes, and all his people, vntill there was none left him: so they conquered his land.
