Miquias 6
1 Karon paminawa kung unsa ang isulti ni Yahweh, “Tindog ug ipahayag ang imong sumbong atubangan sa mga kabukiran; padungga ang kabungtoran sa inyong tingog.
Do but hear now what the Lord saith, Arise, contend thou before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice.
2 Paminawa ang sumbong ni Yahweh, kamo nga mga kabukiran, ug kamo nga nagpabilin nga mga patukoranan sa kalibotan. Kay adunay sumbong si Yahweh sa iyang katawhan, ug makighusay siya diha sa hukmanan batok sa Israel.”
Hear ye, O mountains, the controversy of the Lord, and ye strong foundations of the earth! for the Lord hath a controversy with his people, and with Israel will he plead.
3 “Akong katawhan, unsa man ang nabuhat ko kaninyo? Giunsa ko man kamo paglisodlisod? Pagpamatuod batok kanako!
O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherewith have I wearied thee? testify against me.
4 Kay gipagawas ko kamo gikan sa yuta sa Ehipto ug giluwas kamo gikan sa balay sa pagkaulipon. Gipadala ko si Moises, si Aaron, ug si Miriam nganha kaninyo.
Although I had brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of bond-men; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.
5 Akong katawhan, hinumdomi kung unsa ang giplano ni Balak nga hari sa Moab, ug kung giunsa siya pagtubag ni Balaam nga anak nga lalaki ni Beor sa dihang miadto kamo gikan sa Shitim paingon sa Gilgal, aron masayran ninyo ang matarong nga mga buhat ni Yahweh.”
O my people, do but remember what Balak the king of Moab resolved, and what Bil'am the son of Be'or answered him, from Shittim unto Gilgal, in order that ye may know the gracious benefits of the Lord.
6 Unsa man ang akong angay dad-on ngadto kang Yahweh, sa dihang moyukbo ako sa halandong Dios? Moadto ba ako kaniya uban ang mga halad sinunog, nga mga nating baka nga usa pa lamang ka tuig?
Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, bow myself before the God on high? shall I come before him with burnt-offerings, with calves of a year old!
7 Mahimuot ba si Yahweh sa liboan ka mga torong karnero, o sa napulo ka libo nga mga suba sa lana? Angay ko bang ihalad ang akong kamagulangang anak alang sa akong kalapasan, ang bunga sa akong lawas alang sa akong kaugalingong sala?
Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with myriads of streams of oil? shall I give my first-born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 Gisultihan kamo niya, tawo, kung unsa ang maayo, ug kung unsa ang gikinahanglan ni Yahweh kaninyo: Pagmakiangayon, pagmahigugmaon, ug pagmapainubsanon uban sa inyong Dios.
He hath told thee, O man, what is good; and what the Lord doth require of thee: [nothing] but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with thy God.
9 Ang tingog ni Yahweh nagpahibalo ngadto sa siyudad— bisan gani karon ang kaalam nag-ila sa imong ngalan: “Hatagi ug pagtagad ang sungkod, ug ang nagbutang niini sa maong dapit.
The voice of the Lord calleth unto the city, —and [the man of] wisdom shall see thy name: —hear ye the rod [of punishment], and who hath ordained it.
10 Adunay bahandi sulod sa mga balay sa daotan nga linimbongan, ug limbongan nga mga sukdanan nga dulumtanan.
Are there yet in the house of the wicked man the treasures of wickedness, and the scant accursed measure?
11 Ilhon ko ba nga walay sala ang tawo kung nagagamit siya ug tikasan nga timbangan, uban ang puntil sa malimbongong timbangan?
Can I be pure with wicked balances, and with a bag [full] of deceptive weights?
12 Ang tawong adunahan puno sa pagpanlupig, ang lumolupyo nagasultig bakak, ug malimbongon ang ilang mga dila.
For her rich men are full of violence, and her inhabitants have spoken falsehood, and their tongue is deceit [itself] in their mouth.
13 Busa gipahamtang ko kaninyo ang hilabihan nga samad, giguba ko kamo tungod sa inyong mga sala.
Therefore have I also smitten thee with sore wounds, making [thee] desolate because of thy sins.
14 Makakaon kamo apan dili matagbaw; ang inyong pagkauhaw magpabilin diha kaninyo. Magtipig kamo ug pagkaon apan dili kamo makatigom, ug kung unsa ang inyong matigom ihatag ko sa espada.
Thou wilt indeed eat, but not be satisfied; and what thou hast eaten shall bend thee down; and thou wilt overtake [the enemy], but thou shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.
15 Magapugas kamo apan dili makaani; maggiok kamo sa inyong mga olibo apan dili kamo madihogan sa inyong kaugalingon sa lana; magpuga kamo ug mga ubas apan dili kamo makainom ug bino.
Thou wilt indeed sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou wilt indeed tread out olives, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with oil; and the juice of the grapes, but thou shalt not drink wine.
16 Gituman ang mga balaod nga gihimo ni Omri, ug ang tanang binuhatan sa balay ni Ahab. Naglakaw kamo pinaagi sa ilang tambag. Busa himoon ko kamo nga guba nga siyudad, ug libakon kamo nga lumulupyo, ug magaantos kamo sa pagtamay ingon nga akong katawhan.”
For there are observed the statutes of 'Omri, and all the works of the house of Achab, and ye walk in their counsels: in order that I should give thee up unto desolation, and thy inhabitants to derision; and ye shall bear the reproach of my people.
