Miquias 5

1 Karon pagtigom sa pagpakig-away, anak nga babaye sa mga sundalo, nagpalibot na ang mga sundalo sa siyudad, bunalan nila gamit ang sungkod ang aping sa maghuhukom sa Israel.

Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops; they lay siege against us: with the rod they smite upon the cheek the judge of Israel.

2 Apan kamo, Bethlehem Efrata, bisan gamay lamang kamo nga banay ni Juda, gikan kaninyo ang usa nga moanhi kanako aron sa pagdumala sa Israel, nga nagsugod gikan pa kaniadto nga panahon, gikan sa walay kataposan.

But thou, Beth-lechem Ephratah, the least [though] thou be among the thousands of Judah, [yet] out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel, whose origin is from olden times, from most ancient days.

3 Busa biyaan sila sa Dios, hangtod sa panahon nga kadtong manamkon manganak, ug ang uban sa iyang igsoong mga lalaki mobalik ngadto sa katawhan sa Israel.

Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she who travaileth hath brought forth: then shall the remnant of his brethren return with the children of Israel.

4 Motindog siya ug pagabantayan niya ang iyang panon diha sa kusog ni Yahweh, sa pagkahalangdon sa ngalan ni Yahweh nga iyang Dios. Magpabilin sila, unya mahimo siyang bantogan ngadto sa kinatumyan sa kalibotan.

And he shall stand forward and feed [Israel] through the strength of the Lord, through the excellency of the name of the Lord his God: and they shall abide [safely]; for now shall he be great even unto the ends of the earth.

5 Mahimo siya nga atong kalinaw. Sa dihang moabot ang taga-Asiria sa atong yuta, sa dihang magpanon sila padulong sa atong mga kuta, busa magatindog kita batok kanila sa pito ka mga magbalantay sa karnero ug walo ka mga pangulo sa mga sundalo.

And in this [manner] shall there be peace: If Asshur should come into our land; and if he should tread in our palaces, then will we raise up against him seven shepherds, and eight anointed men.

6 Bantayan nila ang yuta sa Asiria gamit ang mga espada, ug sa mga ganghaan sa yuta ni Nimrod. Luwason niya kita gikan sa taga-Asiria, sa dihang moabot sila sa atong yuta, sa dihang magpanon sila pasulod sa atong mga utlanan.

And they shall lay waste the land of Asshur with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the gates of its [cities]: thus will he deliver us from Asshur, if he should come into our land, and if he should tread within our borders.

7 Ang nahibilin nga kaliwatan ni Jacob maanaa taliwala sa daghang katawhan, sama sa yamog gikan kang Yahweh, sama sa tubig ulan ngadto sa sagbot, nga wala maghulat sa tawo, ug wala sila naghulat alang sa mga anak sa tawo.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people like dew from the Lord, like showers upon the herbs, that wait not for man, nor hope for the sons of man.

8 Ang nahibilin nga kaliwatan ni Jacob igapataliwala sa mga nasod, taliwala sa daghang katawhan, sama sa liyon taliwala sa mga mananap sa kalasangan, sama sa nating liyon taliwala sa panon sa karnero. Sa dihang mosulod siya ngadto kanila, tamakan niya sila ug kuniskunison, ug wala gayoy bisan usa nga moluwas kanila.

And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the nations, in the midst of many people, like a lion among the beasts of the forest, like a young lion among flocks of sheep: who, if he break in, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, while none can deliver.

9 Igabayaw ang inyong kamot batok sa inyong mga kaaway, ug magalaglag kini kanila.

High shall thy hand be lifted up above thy adversaries, and all thy enemies shall be cut off.

10 “Mahitabo kini nianang adlawa,” miingon si Yahweh, “nga laglagon ko ang inyong mga kabayo taliwala kaninyo ug dugmokon ko ang inyong mga karwahe.

And it shall come to pass on that day, saith the Lord, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots;

11 Pagagun-obon ko ang mga siyudad sa inyong yuta ug laglagon ko ang tanan ninyong mga salipdanan.

And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and I will throw down all thy strongholds;

12 Laglagon ko ang salamangka sa inyong kamot, ug wala na gayod kamoy mga mananagna.

And I will cut off the arts of witchcraft out of thy hand; and soothsayers shalt thou have no more;

13 Laglagon ko ang mga kinulit nga larawan ug ang inyong bato nga mga haligi nga anaa kaninyo. Dili na kamo mosimba sa binuhat sa inyong mga kamot.

And I will cut off thy graven images, and thy statues out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more prostrate thyself to the work of thy hands;

14 Paga-ibton ko ang inyong mga haligi nga si Ashera taliwala kaninyo, ug pagalaglagon ko ang inyong mga siyudad.

And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee; and I will destroy thy enemies.

15 Pagasilotan ko sa pagpanimalos sa kasuko ug kapungot ngadto sa kanasoran nga wala naminaw.”

And I will in anger and in fury execute vengeance upon the nations, upon those that have not hearkened.
