Mga Maghuhukom 20

1 Ang tanang katawhan sa Israel migawas ingon nga usa lamang ka tawo, gikan sa Dan hangtod sa Beerseba, lakip usab ang yuta sa Gilead, ug nanagtigom silang tanan diha kang Yahweh didto sa Mizpa.

Then all the children of Israel went out, and the Congregation was gathered together as one man, from Dan to Beersheba, with the land of Gilead, vnto the Lord in Mizpeh.

2 Ang mga pangulo sa tanan katawhan, sa tanang mga tribo sa Israel, nanagtigom sa tigomanan sa mga katawhan sa Dios— 400, 000 ka mga kalalakin-ang sundalo ang namaktas, nga andam makiggubat pinaagi sa ilang espada.

And the chiefe of all the people, and all the tribes of Israel assembled in the Congregation of the people of God foure hundreth thousand footemen that drewe sword.

3 Karon nakadungog ang mga katawhan ni Benjamin nga ang mga katawhan sa Israel mitungas sa Mizpa. Miingon ang mga katawhan sa Israel, “Sultihi kami kung giunsa pagbuhat kining daotang panghitabo.”

(Now the children of Beniamin heard that the children of Israel were gone vp to Mizpeh) Then the children of Israel saide, Howe is this wickednesse committed?

4 Mitubag ang Levita nga bana sa gipatay nga babaye, “Gikan ako sa Gibea sa teritoryo nga gipanag-iya ni Benjamin, ako ug ang akong kaipon, aron magpahulay didto sa gabii.

And the same Leuite, the womans husband that was slaine, answered and saide, I came vnto Gibeah that is in Beniamin with my concubine to lodge,

5 Sa pagkagabii, gisulong ako sa mga pangulo sa Gibea, gilibotan nila ang balay ug nagtinguha nga patyon ako. Ilang gikuha ug gilugos ang akong kaipon, ug namatay siya.

And the men of Gibeah arose against me, and beset the house round about vpon mee by night, thinking to haue slaine me, and haue forced my concubine that she is dead.

6 Gidala ko ang akong kaipon ug gihiwahiwa kini, ug gihatod ko kini sa rehiyon sa mga panulondon sa Israel, tungod kay nagbuhat sila ug daotan ug kalagot sa Israel.

Then I tooke my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout all the countrey of the inheritance of Israel: for they haue committed abomination and villenie in Israel.

7 Karon, kamong tanan nga mga Israelita, ihatag ang inyong tambag ug panghunahuna dinhi.”

Behold, ye are al children of Israel: giue your aduise, and counsell herein.

8 Mitindog ang tanan nga katawhan ingon nga usa ka tawo, ug miingon sila, “Walay usa kanamo ang moadto sa among tolda, ug walay usa kanamo ang mobalik sa among balay!

Then all the people arose as one man, saying, There shall not a man of vs goe to his tent, neither any turne into his house.

9 Apan karon mao kini ang atong buhaton sa Gibea: sulongon nato sila kung asa kita itultol sa ripa.

But now this is that thing which we will do to Gibeah: we wil goe vp by lot against it,

10 Magdala kita ug pulo ka mga lalaki sa gatosan sa tibuok banay sa Israel, ug 100 sa 1, 000, ug 1, 000 sa 10, 000, sa pagkuha sa gikinahanglan niining mga katawhan, aron kung moabot na sila sa Gibea didto sa Benjamin, pagasilotan nila sila tungod sa daotang butang nga ilang gibuhat sa Israel.”

And we wil take ten men of the hundreth throughout al the tribes of Israel, and an hundreth of the thousand, and a thousand of ten thousand to bring vitaile for the people that they may do (when they come to Gibeah of Beniamin) according to all the villeny, that it hath done in Israel.

11 Busa ang tanang kasundalohan sa Israel nagtigom batok sa siyudad, ingon nga usa ka tawo.

So all the men of Israel were gathered against the citie, knit together, as one man.

12 Nagpadala ug mga kalalakin-an ang mga tribo sa Israel ngadto sa tibuok tribo ni Benjamin, nga nag-ingon, “Unsa man kining mga daotang butang nga gibuhat sa pipila kaninyo?

And the tribes of Israel sent men through al the tribe of Beniamin, saying, What wickednesse is this that is committed among you?

13 Busa, ihatag kanamo kadtong mga tawong daotan sa Gibea, aron amo silang patyon, aron nga mawala na sa hingpit kining pagkadaotan gikan sa Israel.” Apan wala maminaw ang mga Benjaminhon sa tingog sa ilang mga igsoon, ang katawhan sa Israel.

Nowe therefore deliuer vs those wicked men which are in Gibeah, that we may put them to death, and put away euill from Israel: but the children of Beniamin would not obey the voyce of their brethren the children of Israel.

14 Unya migawas ang mga katawhan ni Benjamin sa siyudad sa Gibea aron sa pag-andam sa pakiggubat batok sa mga katawhan sa Israel.

But ye children of Beniamin gathered them selues together out of the cities vnto Gibeah, to come out and fight against the children of Israel.

15 Migawas ang mga katawhan sa Benjamin gikan sa siyudad aron makiggubat nianang adlawa nagdala sila ug 26, 000 ka mga sundalo nga gibansay sa pakig-away ug paggamit ug espada. Dugang pa, adunay 700 nga mga piniling lalaki gikan sa mga lumulupyo sa Gibea.

And ye children of Beniamin were nombred at that time out of the cities sixe and twenty thousand men that drewe sworde, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were nombred seuen hundreth chosen men.

16 Taliwala niini nga mga sundalo, adunay 700 nga pinili nga mga kalalakin-an nga walhon. Ang matag-usa kanila makapintik ug bato ngadto sa usa ka lugas sa buhok ug dili masipyat.

Of all this people were seuen hundreth chosen men, being left handed: all these could sling stones at an heare breadth, and not faile.

17 Ang katawhan sa Israel, dili lakip ang mga katawhan sa Benjamin, mikabat ug 400, 000 ka mga lalaki, nga gibansay sa pakig-away gamit ang espada. Silang tanan mga kalalakin-an sa gubat.

Also the men of Israel, beside Beniamin, were nombred foure hundreth thousande men that drew sword, euen all men of warre.

18 Mitindog ang katawhan sa Israel, miadto sa Betel, ug nangayo ug tambag sa Dios. Nangutana sila, “Kinsa man ang unang mosulong sa katawhan ni Benjamin alang kanamo?” Miingon si Yahweh, “Ang taga Juda maoy unang mosulong.”

And the children of Israel arose, and went vp to the house of God, and asked of God, saying, Which of vs shall goe vp first to fight against the children of Beniamin? And the Lord said, Iudah shalbe first.

19 Sa pagkabuntag, namangon ang katawhan sa Israel ug namalhin sila ug kampo duol sa Gibea.

Then the children of Israel arose vp earely and camped against Gibeah.

20 Nangadto ang katawhan sa Israel aron sa pakig-away batok sa Benjamin. Giandam nila ang ilang linya sa pagpakiggubat batok sa Gibea.

And the men of Israel went out to battell against Beniamin, and the men of Israel put themselues in aray to fight against the beside Gibeah.

21 Migawas sa Gibea ang mga katawhan sa Benjamin, ug ilang gipamatay ang 22, 000 ka mga lalaking kasundalohan sa Israel nianang adlawa.

And the children of Beniamin came out of Gibeah, and slewe downe to the ground of the Israelites that day two and twentie thousand men.

22 Apan gilig-on sa mga katawhan sa Israel ang ilang kaugalingon, ug gipahiluna nila ang ilang linya sa pakiggubat sama sa daan nilang nahimutangan sa unang adlaw.

And the people, the men of Israel plucked vp their hearts, and set their battel againe in aray in the place where they put them in aray the first day.

23 Ug miadto ang mga katawhan sa Israel ug mihilak ngadto sa atubangan ni Yahweh hangtod sa gabii. Nangayo sila ug giya gikan kang Yahweh: “Moadto ba kami aron makig-away ug balik sa among mga kaigsoonan, ang mga katawhan ni Benjamin?” Ug miingon si Yahweh, “Sulonga sila!”

(For the children of Israel had gone vp and wept before the Lord vnto the euening, and had asked of the Lord, saying, Shall I goe againe to battel against the children of Beniamin my brethren? and the Lord said, Go vp against them)

24 Busa nangadto ang mga katawhan sa Israel aron makigbatok sa mga sundalo ni Benjamin.

Then the children of Israel came neere against the children of Beniamin the second day.

25 Sa ika-duhang adlaw, nanggawas ang mga Benjaminhon sa Gibea aron makigbatok kanila ug nakapatay sila ug 18, 000 ka mga kalalakin-an gikan sa mga katawhan sa Israel. Gibansay ang tanan nga mga kalalakin-an aron sa pakig-away pinaagi sa espada.

Also the second day Beniamin came forth to meete them out of Gibeah, and slewe downe to the grounde of the children of Israel againe eighteene thousand men: all they could handle the sword.

26 Ug ang tanang kasundalohan ug katawhan sa Israel miadto didto sa Betel ug nanghilak, ug didto nanglingkod sila atubangan ni Yahweh ug nagpuasa sila nianang adlawa hangtod sa pagkagabii ug naghalad sila ug sinunog nga halad ug pakigdait nga halad ngadto kang Yahweh.

Then al the children of Israel went vp and all the people came also vnto the house of God, and wept and sate there before the Lord and fasted that day vnto the euening, and offred burnt offrings and peace offrings before the Lord.

27 Nangutana ang mga katawhan sa Israel kang Yahweh—kay niadtong adlawa anaa kanila ang sudlanan sa kasabotan sa Dios,

And the children of Israel asked the Lord (for there was the Arke of the couenat of God in those dayes,

28 ug si Pinehas, ang anak nga lalaki ni Eleazar nga anak nga lalaki ni Aaron, nga nag-alagad atubangan sa sudlanan sa kasabotan niadtong mga adlawa— “Mangadto ba kami didto sa gubat pag-usab batok sa katawhan sa Benjamin, nga among mga igsoon, o mohunong na?” Miingon si Yahweh, “Sulonga sila, kay ugma tabangan ko kamo sa pagbuntog kanila.”

And Phinehas the sonne of Eleazar, the sonne of Aaron stoode before it at that time) saying, Shall I yet goe anie more to battel against the children of Beniamin my brethren, or shall I cease? And the Lord said, Go vp: for to morowe I will deliuer them into your hand.

29 Busa nagbutang ang Israel ug kalalakin-an sa matag tago nga mga dapit palibot sa Gibea.

And Israel set men to lie in waite round about Gibeah.

30 Sa ika-tulo nga adlaw nakig-away ang katawhan sa Israel batok sa mga katawhan sa Benjamin, ug gipahiluna nila ang ilang linya sa pakiggubat batok sa Gibea sama sa ilang gibuhat kaniadto.

And the children of Israel went vp against the children of Beniamin the third day, and put theselues in aray against Gibeah, as at other times.

31 Nangadto ang mga katawhan sa Benjamin ug nakig-away batok sa katawhan, ug gipalayo sila gikan sa siyudad. Gipamatay nila ang pipila ka mga tawo. Adunay mga 30 ka mga kalalakin-an sa Israel ang namatay didto sa kaumahan ug sa kadalanan. Ang usa ka dalan padulong sa Betel, ug ang pikas dalan padulong sa Gibea.

Then the children of Beniamin comming out against the people, were drawen from the citie: and they began to smite of ye people and kill as at other times, euen by the wayes in the fielde (whereof one goeth vp to the house of God, and the other to Gibeah) vpon a thirtie men of Israel.

32 Unya miingon ang katawhan sa Benjamin, “Napildi na sila ug nanagan sila kanato, sama niadtong unang higayon.” Apan miingon ang mga sundalo sa Israel, “Managan kita pagbalik ug ato silang palayason gikan sa siyudad hangtod sa kadalanan.”

(For the children of Beniamin sayd, They are fallen before vs, as at the first. But the children of Israel saide, Let vs flee and plucke them away from the citie vnto the hie wayes)

33 Mitindog ang tanang katawhan sa Israel gikan sa ilang nahimutangan ug gipahiluna ang ilang kaugalingon aron sa pakiggubat didto sa Baal Tamar. Ug kadtong mga sundalo sa Israel nga nanago didto sa tagong mga dapit midagan pagawas sa ilang nahimutangan gikan sa Maare Gibea.

And all the men of Israel rose vp out of their place, and put themselues in aray at Baal-tamar: and the men that lay in wayte of the Israelites came forth of their place, euen out of the medowes of Gibeah,

34 Adunay migula nga 10, 000 ka mga piniling kalalakin-an gikan sa Israel ang nakigbatok didto sa Gibea, ug hilabihan gayod ang gubat, apan wala masayod ang mga Benjaminhon nga haduol na ang ilang kalaglagan.

And they came ouer against Gibeah, ten thousande chosen men of all Israel, and the battell was sore: for they knewe not that the euill was neere them.

35 Gibuntog ni Yahweh ang Benjamin atubangan sa Israel. Nianang adlawa, ang kasundalohan sa Israel nakapatay ug 25, 100 ka mga lalaki sa Benjamin. Ang tanan nga namatay mao ang gibansay sa pakig-away pinaagi sa espada.

And the Lord smote Beniamin before Israel, and the children of Israel destroyed of the Beniamites the same day fiue and twenty thousand and an hundreth men: all they could handle the sword.

36 Nakita gayod sa mga kasundalohan sa Benjamin nga nabuntog na sila. Nangatras ang mga kalalakin-an sa Israel palayo sa Benjamin, nagsalig man sila sa mga kalalakin-an nga ilang gipatago gawas sa Gibea.

So the children of Beniamin sawe that they were striken downe: for the men of Israel gaue place to the Beniamites, because they trusted to the men that lay in waite, which they had laide beside Gibeah.

37 Unya ang nanago nga mga kalalakin-an mitindog ug midali ug dagan padulong sa Gibea. Ug pinaagi sa ilang espada ilang gipamatay ang tanan nga nagpuyo sa siyudad.

And they that lay in wait hasted, and brake forth toward Gibeah, and the ambushment drewe themselues along, and smote all the citie with the edge of the sword.

38 Ang nasabotan nga timailhan sa mga kasundalohan sa Israel ug sa mga lalaki nga nanago mao ang bagang gabon sa aso nga moutbo gikan didto sa siyudad.

Also the men of Israel had appoynted a certaine time with the ambushmentes, that they should make a great flame and smoke rise vp out of the citie.

39 Sa dihang makita na sa mga kasundalohan sa Israel ang timailhan mamalik na sila sa pagpakiggubat. Karon nag-sulong na ug sugod ang Benjamin ug napatay nila ang kapin 30 ka mga lalaki sa Israel, ug miingon sila, “Sigurado gayod nga mabuntog sila sa atong atubangan, sama sa unang gubat.”

And when the men of Israel retired in the battel, Beniamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about thirtie persons: for they said, Surely they are striken downe before vs, as in the first battell.

40 Apan sa dihang nagsugod na sa pag-utbo ang aso sa siyudad, milingi ang mga Benjaminhon ug nakita ang aso nga miutbo sa kawanangan gikan sa tibuok siyudad.

But when the flame bega to arise out of the citie, as a pillar of smoke, the Beniamites looked backe, and behold, the flame of the citie began to ascend vp to heauen.

41 Busa ang mga katawhan sa Israel misulong batok kanila. Nangalisang pag-ayo ang mga lalaki sa Benjamin, tungod kay ilang nakita nga miabot na ang dakong katalagman diha kanila.

Then the men of Israel turned againe, and the men of Beniamin were astonied: for they saw that euill was neere vnto them.

42 Busa nanagan sila gikan sa mga katawhan sa Israel, mikalagiw padulong sa kamingawan. Apan naapsan gihapon sila sa gubat. Nanggawas sa siyudad ang mga kasundalohan sa Israel ug ilang gipamatay sila kung asa sila nagtindog.

Therefore they fled before the men of Israel vnto the way of the wildernesse, but the battell ouertooke them: also they which came out of the cities, slew them among them.

43 Gipalibotan nila ang mga Benjaminhon ug gipanggukod sila. Ug gitamaktamakan nila sila sa Noha ug gipamatay silang tanan padulong didto sa sidlakang bahin sa Gibea.

Thus they compassed the Beniamites about, and chased them at ease, and ouerranne them, euen ouer against Gibeah on the Eastside.

44 Gikan sa tribo ni Benjamin, 18, 000 ka mga tawo ang nangamatay, ang tanan kanila hanas gayod sa pagpakiggubat.

And there were slaine of Beniamin eyghteene thousad men, which were all men of warre.

45 Namalik sila ug mikalagiw didto sa kamingawan sa mga bato sa Rimmon. Nakapatay pa gayod ug dugang 5, 000 ang mga Israelita diha sa kadalanan. Wala sila miundang sa paggukod kanila, gigukod sila pag-ayo hangtod sa Gidom, ug didto nakapatay pa sila ug dugang 2, 000.

And they turned and fled to the wildernes vnto the rocke of Rimmon: and the Israelites glayned of them by the way fiue thousand men, and pursued after them vnto Gidom, and slewe two thousand men of them,

46 Ang tanan kasundalohan sa Benjamin nga nangamatay nianang adlawa miabot ug 25, 000— mga kalalakin-an nga gibansay nga makig-away gamit ang espada; ang tanan kanila hanas gayod makiggubat.

So that all that were slayne that day of Beniamin, were fiue and twentie thousand men that drewe sword, which were all men of warre:

47 Apan 600 ka mga kalalakin-an ang namalik ug mikalagiw ngadto sa kamingawan, didto sa mga bato sa Rimmon. Ug nagpabilin sila didto sa mga bato sa Rimmon sulod sa upat ka bulan.

But sixe hundreth men turned and fled to the wildernesse vnto the rocke of Rimmon, and abode in the rocke of Rimmon foure moneths.

48 Namalik ang mga kasundalohan sa Israel aron makigbatok sa mga katawhan ni Benjamin ug gisulong ug gipamatay sila— ang tibuok siyudad, ang ilang mga kahayopan, ug ang tanan nga ilang nahikaplagan. Gipangsunog usab nila ang tagsa-tagsa ka mga lungsod nga ilang maagian.

Then the men of Israel returned vnto the children of Beniamin, and smote them with the edge of the sword from the men of the citie vnto the beasts, and all that came to hand: also they set on fire all the cities that they coulde come by.
