Josue 1
1 Nahitabo kini human sa kamatayon ni Moises nga alagad ni Yahweh, nagsulti si Yahweh kang Josue nga anak nga lalaki ni Nun, pangulo nga kaabag ni Moises, nga nag-ingon,
Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
2 “Si Moises, nga akong alagad, patay na. Busa karon, barog, latas niini nga Jordan, ikaw ug kining tanan nga katawhan, ngadto sa yuta nga akong ihatag kanila—ngadto sa katawhan sa Israel.
Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, [even] to the children of Israel.
3 Gihatag ko kaninyo ang tanang dapit kutob sa malaktan sa lapalapa sa inyong mga tiil. Gihatag ko kini kaninyo, ingon sa akong gisaad kang Moises.
Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
4 Gikan sa kamingawan ug sa Lebanon, paingon sa dako nga suba, nga Eufrates, ang tanan nga yuta sa mga Hetihanon, ug ngadto sa Dako nga Dagat, diin mosalop ang adlaw, mahimong inyong yuta.
From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
5 Walay bisan usa nga makaasdang kanimo sa tanang mga adlaw sa imong kinabuhi. Mag-uban ako kanimo ingon nga ako nag-uban kang Moises. Dili ko ikaw talikdan ni biyaan.
There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, [so] I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
6 Pagmalig-on ug pagmaisogon. Himoon mo kining katawhan nga makapanunod sa yuta nga akong gisaad sa ilang mga katigulangan nga ihatag ko kanila.
Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Pagmalig-on ug pagmaisogon gayod. Pag-amping sa pagtuman sa tanang balaod nga gimando kanimo ni Moises nga akong alagad. Ayaw pagliko gikan niini ngadto sa tuo o sa wala, aron nga ikaw magmalamposon bisan asa ka moadto.
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it [to] the right hand or [to] the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
8 Magasulti ka kanunay mahitungod niini nga basahon sa balaod. Magapamalandong ka niini sa adlaw ug sa gabii aron nga matuman mo ang tanan nga nahisulat niini. Unya magmauswagon ka ug magmalamposon.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
9 Wala ba ako nagmando kanimo? Pagmalig-on ug pagmaisogon! Ayaw kahadlok. Ayaw kaluya. Kay si Yahweh nga imong Dios mag-uban kanimo bisan asa ka moadto.”
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.
10 Unya gimandoan ni Josue ang mga pangulo sa Israel,
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
11 “Adto ngadto sa kampo ug mandoi ang katawhan, 'Andama ang mga gikinahanglan alang sa inyong kaugalingon. Sulod sa tulo ka adlaw maglatas kamo niini nga Jordan ug mosulod ug ilogon ang yuta nga gihatag ni Yahweh nga inyong Dios kaninyo aron panag-iyahon.'”
Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.
12 Ngadto sa mga Reubenhanon, mga Gadihanon ug katunga sa tribo ni Manases, miingon si Josue,
And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spake Joshua, saying,
13 “Hinumdomi ang pulong ni Moises nga alagad ni Yahweh, nagmando kaninyo sa dihang siya miingon, 'Si Yahweh nga inyong Dios maghatag kaninyo ug kapahulayan, ug ihatag kini nga yuta alang kanimo.'
Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this land.
14 Ang inyong mga asawa, ang gagmay ninyo nga mga anak, ug ang inyong binuhing mananap magapabilin sa yuta nga gihatag ni Moises kaninyo lapas sa Jordan. Apan ang inyong manggugubat nga kalalakin-an maga-uban sa inyong mga igsoon nga lalaki ug motabang kanila
Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them;
15 hangtod nga hatagan ni Yahweh ug kapahulayan ang inyong mga igsoon nga lalaki ingon nga gihatag niya kini kaninyo. Ug mapanag-iya usab nila ang yuta nga gihatag ni Yahweh kanila nga inyong Dios. Unya magabalik kamo sa inyong yuta ug manag-iya niini, lapas sa Jordan ang yuta nga gihatag kaninyo ni Moises nga alagad ni Yahweh, diin mosubang ang adlaw.”
Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as [he hath given] you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’s servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.
16 Ug mitubag sila kang Josue, nga nag-ingon, “Tumanon namo ang tanan nga imong gimando kanamo, ug bisan asa nimo kami ipadala moadto kami.
And they answered Joshua, saying, All that thou commandest us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us, we will go.
17 Magatuman kami kanimo ingon nga nagtuman kami kang Moises. Hinaot nga si Yahweh lamang nga imong Dios ang mag-uban kanimo, ingon nga siya nag-uban kang Moises kaniadto.
According as we hearkened unto Moses in all things, so will we hearken unto thee: only the LORD thy God be with thee, as he was with Moses.
18 Si bisan kinsa nga mosupak batok sa imong mga mando ug dili motuman sa imong mga pulong pagapatyon. Pagmalig-on lamang ug pagmaisogon.”
Whosoever [he be] that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.
