Josue 5

1 Sa dihang nadungog sa tanang mga hari sa mga Amorihanon nga atua sa kasadpang bahin sa Jordan, ug sa tanang mga hari sa mga Canaanhon, nga atua duol sa baybayon sa Dakong Dagat, nga gipahubas ni Yahweh ang katubigan sa Jordan hangtod nga nakatabok ang katawhan sa Israel, nangatunaw ang ilang mga kasingkasing, ug wala nay espiritu sa kaisog diha kanila tungod sa mga tawo sa Israel.

And it cometh to pass when all the kings of the Amorite which [are] beyond the Jordan, towards the sea, and all the kings of the Canaanite which [are] by the sea, hear how that Jehovah hath dried up the waters of the Jordan at the presence of the sons of Israel till their passing over, that their heart is melted, and there hath not been in them any more spirit because of the presence of the sons of Israel.

2 Nianang panahona miingon si Yahweh kang Josue, “Paghimo ug santik nga mga kutsilyo ug sa makausa pa tulia ang tanang mga lalaki sa Israel.”

At that time said Jehovah unto Joshua, 'Make for thee knives of flint, and turn back, circumcise the sons of Israel a second time;'

3 Unya naghimo si Josue sa iyang kaugalingon ug santik nga mga kutsilyo ug gituli niya ang tanang mga lalaki sa Israel didto sa Gibeat Haaralot.

and Joshua maketh for him knives of flint, and circumciseth the sons of Israel at the height of the foreskins.

4 Ug mao kini ang hinungdan nga gituli sila ni Josue: ang tanang mga lalaki nga nanggula gikan sa Ehipto, lakip na ang tanang manggugubat nga kalalakin-an, nangamatay sa dalan didto sa kamingawan, human sila nakagula gikan sa Ehipto.

And this [is] the thing [for] which Joshua circumciseth [them]: all the people who are coming out of Egypt, who are males, all the men of war have died in the wilderness, in the way, in their coming out of Egypt,

5 Bisan tuod ang tanang kalalakin-an nga nanggula sa Ehipto nangatuli na, sa gihapon, wala pay natuli nga bata nga mga lalaki nga natawo didto sa kamingawan sa ilang dalan paggawas sa Ehipto.

for all the people who are coming out were circumcised, and all the people who [are] born in the wilderness, in the way, in their coming out from Egypt, they have not circumcised;

6 Kay ang mga tawo sa Israel nanglakaw man sulod sa 40 ka tuig sa kamingawan hangtod nga ang tanang katawhan, nga mao, ang tanang kalalakin-an nga manggugubat nga nanggula sa Ehipto, nangamatay, tungod kay wala man sila mituman sa tingog ni Yahweh. Nanumpa si Yahweh kanila nga dili niya sila tugotan nga makakita sa yuta nga iyang gisaad sa ilang mga katigulangan nga iyang ihatag kanato, ang yuta nga nagadagayday ang gatas ug dugos.

for forty years have the sons of Israel gone in the wilderness, till all the nation of the men of war who are coming out of Egypt, who hearkened not to the voice of Jehovah, to whom Jehovah hath sworn not to show them the land which Jehovah sware to their fathers to give to us, a land flowing with milk and honey, are consumed;

7 Ang ilang mga anak nga giamuma ni Yahweh puli kanila mao ang gituli ni Josue, tungod kay wala man sila natuli didto sa dalan.

and their sons He raised up in their stead, them hath Joshua circumcised, for they have been uncircumcised, for they have not circumcised them in the way.

8 Sa dihang natuli na silang tanan, nagpabilin sila didto sa ilang gipuy-an nga kampo hangtod nangaayo sila.

And it cometh to pass when all the nation have completed to be circumcised, that they abide in their places in the camp till their recovering;

9 Ug miingon si Yahweh kang Josue, “Niining adlawa gikuha ko na ang pagpakaulaw sa Ehipto diha kaninyo.” Busa, ang ngalan niana nga dapit gitawag ug Gilgal hangtod niining adlawa.

and Jehovah saith unto Joshua, 'To-day I have rolled the reproach of Egypt from off you;' and [one] calleth the name of that place Gilgal unto this day.

10 Ang mga tawo sa Israel nagkampo didto sa Gilgal. Nagsaulog sila sa Pagsaylo sa ikanapulo ug upat nga adlaw sa bulan, sa kagabhion, didto sa kapatagan sa Jerico.

And the sons of Israel encamp in Gilgal, and make the passover on the fourteenth day of the month, at evening, in the plains of Jericho;

11 Ug sa adlaw human ang Pagsaylo, niana gayod nga adlaw, nangaon sila sa pipila sa abot sa yuta, tinapay nga walay igpapatubo, ug sinanlag nga trigo.

and they eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow of the passover, unleavened things and roasted [corn], in this self-same day;

12 Sa adlaw human sila nangaon sa abot sa yuta mihunong ang mana. Wala na gayoy mana alang sa katawhan sa Israel, apan nangaon sila sa abot sa yuta sa Canaan niana nga tuig.

and the manna doth cease on the morrow in their eating of the old corn of the land, and there hath been no more manna to the sons of Israel, and they eat of the increase of the land of Canaan in that year.

13 Sa dihang atua si Josue duol sa Jerico, giyahat niya ang iyang mga mata ug mitan-aw, ug tan-awa, adunay tawo nga nagtindog diha sa iyang atubangan; gihulbot niya ang iyang espada ug anaa kini sa iyang kamot. Miadto si Josue kaniya ug miingon, “Dapig ka ba kanamo o sa among mga kaaway?”

And it cometh to pass in Joshua's being by Jericho, that he lifteth up his eyes, and looketh, and lo, one standing over-against him, and his drawn sword in his hand, and Joshua goeth unto him, and saith to him, 'Art thou for us or for our adversaries?'

14 Miingon siya, “Wala niana. Kay ako ang pangulo sa kasundalohan ni Yahweh. Karon mianhi ako.” Unya mihapa si Josue sa yuta aron sa pagsimba ug miingon kaniya, “Unsa man ang isulti sa akong agalon sa iyang alagad?”

And He saith, 'No, for I [am] Prince of Jehovah's host; now I have come;' and Joshua falleth on his face to the earth, and doth obeisance, and saith to Him, 'What is my Lord speaking unto His servant?'

15 Ang pangulo sa kasundalohan ni Yahweh miingon kang Josue, “Huboa ang imong sandalyas gikan sa imong mga tiil, tungod kay ang dapit nga imong gitindogan balaan.” Ug gibuhat kini ni Josue.

And the Prince of Jehovah's host saith unto Joshua, 'Cast off thy shoe from off thy foot, for the place on which thou art standing is holy;' and Joshua doth so;
