Jonas 2
1 Unya nag-ampo si Jonas kang Yahweh nga iyang Dios sulod sa tiyan sa isda.
Then prayed Jonah unto the Lord his God out of the belly of the fish.
2 Miingon siya, “Nagtawag ako kang Yahweh sa panahon sa akong kalisdanan ug gitubag niya ako; sulod sa tiyan sa seol misinggit ako sa pakitabang! Nadungog mo ang akong tingog. (Sheol h7585)
And he said, I called from the midst of my distress unto the Lord, and he hath answered me: out of the depth of the grave have I cried, and thou hast heard my voice. (Sheol h7585)
3 Gitambog mo ako ngadto sa kinahiladman, ngadto sa kasingkasing sa dagat, ug ang mga balod nagpalibot kanako; tanang gagmay ug dagkong mga balod miagi kanako.
For thou hast cast me into the deep, in the heart of the seas; and the stream compasseth me about: all thy billows and thy waves have passed over me.
4 Ug miingon ako, “Gipapahawa ako gikan sa imong mga mata; unsaon ko na man pagkakita pag-usab sa imong balaang templo?'
And I thought indeed, I am driven out from before thy eyes: yet I again shall look toward thy holy temple.
5 Nagpalibot ang tubig kanako aron sa pagkuha sa akong kinabuhi; ang kalawom anaa sa akong palibot; naputos ang akong ulo sa mga sagbot sa dagat.
The waters surrounded me, to the peril of my life; the deep compassed me about: sea-weeds were bound about my head.
6 Miadto ako sa mga patukoranan sa kinahiladman sa mga kabukiran; ang kalibotan uban sa mga babag niini misirado kanako sa kahangtoran. Apan gidala mo ang akong kinabuhi gikan sa bung-aw, Yahweh, akong Dios!
To the bottoms of the mountains did I go down; the earth [closed] her bars about me for ever: when thou broughtest up my life from the pit, O Lord my God!
7 Sa dihang hapit na mawad-an sa panimuot ang akong kalag, nahinumdoman ko si Yahweh; unya ang akong pag-ampo miabot kanimo, sa imong balaang templo.
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord: and my prayer came unto thee, unto thy holy temple.
8 Kadtong naminaw sa walay pulos nga mga dios nagsalikway sa imong pagkamatarong ngadto sa ilang mga kaugalingon.
They that guard false vanities forsake [the source of] their kindness.
9 Apan alang kanako, akong ihalad kanimo uban ang tingog sa pagpasalamat; akong tumanon kung unsa ang akong gisaad. Ang kaluwasan moabot gikan kang Yahweh!”
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; that which I have vowed will I pay; [for] help is with the Lord.
10 Unya gisultian ni Yahweh ang isda, ug giluwa niini si Jonas didto sa yuta.
And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.
