Job 28
1 Sigurado gayod nga adunay minahan sa plata, ang dapit diin nila ginalunsay ang bulawan.
"Surely there is a mine for silver, and a place for gold which they refine.
2 Ginakuha ang puthaw gikan sa yuta; Pulpogon nila ang bato ug tunawon aron mogawas ang tumbaga gikan sa bato.
Iron is taken out of the earth, and copper is smelted out of the ore.
3 Ang tawo modala ug suga sa ngitngit nga dapit ug magapangita, sa kinalayoan nga kinutoban, ang mga bato sa hilit ug baga nga kangitngit.
Man sets an end to darkness, and searches out, to the furthest bound, the stones of obscurity and of thick darkness.
4 Giablihan niya ang sigpit nga lungag layo sa puy-anan sa mga tawo, dapit nga wala matultoli ni bisan kinsang tiil. Magkumbitay siya layo gikan sa mga tawo; nagalabyog siya padulong ug pabalik.
He breaks open a shaft away from where people live. They are forgotten by the foot. They hang far from men, they swing back and forth.
5 Alang sa yuta, gikan niini ang tinapay, apan ingon nga gibaliktad kini pinaagi sa kalayo.
As for the earth, out of it comes bread; Underneath it is turned up as it were by fire.
6 Sa mga bato niini ang dapit kung asa makita ang safiro, ug ang abog niini adunay bulawan.
Sapphires come from its rocks. It has dust of gold.
7 Walay dumadagit nga langgam ang nasayod niini nga dalan, ni wala kini nakita sa mata sa banog.
That path no bird of prey knows, neither has the falcon's eye seen it.
8 Ang magarbohon nga mga mananap wala nilakaw niini nga dalan, ni ang bangis nga liyon wala nakaagi didto.
The proud animals have not trodden it, nor has the fierce lion passed by there.
9 Gigunitan sa tawo ang gahi nga bato; gilintuwad niya ang mga bukid hangtod sa mga gamot.
He puts forth his hand on the flinty rock, and he overturns the mountains by the roots.
10 Nagkalot siyag kanal taliwala sa mga bato; ang iyang mga mata nakakita sa mga bililhong mga butang didto.
He cuts out channels among the rocks. His eye sees every precious thing.
11 Sampongan niya ang mga tubod aron nga dili kini makaagas; kung unsa ang nakatago didto dalahon niya sa kahayag.
He binds the streams that they do not trickle. The thing that is hidden he brings forth to light.
12 Asa man makaplagan ang kaalam? Asa man ang dapit sa panabot?
"But where shall wisdom be found? Where is the place of understanding?
13 Wala nasayod ang tawo sa kantidad niini; ni makita kini sa yuta sa mga buhi.
Man doesn't know its price; Neither is it found in the land of the living.
14 Ang lawom nga mga tubig ilalom sa yuta moingon, 'Wala kini kanako'; ang dagat moingon, 'Wala kini uban kanako.'
The deep says, 'It isn't in me.' The sea says, 'It isn't with me.'
15 Dili kini makuha pinaagi sa bulawan; ni ang plata timbangon aron mahimong makatupong sa kantidad niini.
It can't be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for its price.
16 Dili kini bililhon uban ang bulawan sa Ophir, uban ang bililhon nga onyx o safiro.
It can't be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
17 Ang bulawan ug kristal dili makatupong sa bili niini; ni ibaylo kini alang sa mga alahas nga hinimo sa lunsay nga bulawan.
Gold and glass can't equal it, neither shall it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.
18 Wala pa naingon ang kabililhon sa mga coral o haspe; sa pagkatinuod, ang kantidad sa kaalam labaw pa kay sa mga rubi.
No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal. Yes, the price of wisdom is above rubies.
19 Ang topaz sa Ethiopia wala nakatandi niini; ni kini mahimong sama ka bililhon sa lunsay nga bulawan.
The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, Neither shall it be valued with pure gold.
20 Asa man gikan ang kaalam? Asa man ang dapit sa panabot?
From where then comes wisdom? Where is the place of understanding?
21 Ang kaalam dili makita sa mga mata sa tanang buhing butang ug dili makita sa mga langgam sa kalangitan.
Seeing it is hidden from the eyes of all living, and kept close from the birds of the sky.
22 Ang Pagkaguba ug Kamatayon moingon, 'Nadungog namo ang hungihong mahitungod niini sa among mga dalunggan.'
Destruction and Death say, 'We have heard a rumor of it with our ears.'
23 Nakasabot ang Dios niini nga paagi; nakakita siya niini nga dapit.
"God understands its way, and he knows its place.
24 Kay siya nagtan-aw sa kinatumyan sa yuta ug nakakita ang tanan nga anaa sa ilalom sa kalangitan.
For he looks to the farthest parts of the earth, and sees under the whole sky.
25 Kaniadto, gihimo niya ang hangin ug gibahinbahin ang katubigan pinaagi sa taksanan.
He establishes the force of the wind. Yes, he measures out the waters by measure.
26 Naghimo siya ug balaod sa mga ulan ug agianan sa kilat ug dalugdog.
When he made a decree for the rain, and a way for the lightning of the thunder;
27 Unya nakita niya ang kaalam ug nagpasayod niini; gipahiluna niya kini, tinuod, ug gisuta niya kini.
then he saw it, and declared it. He established it, yes, and searched it out.
28 Miingon siya ngadto sa mga tawo, 'Tan-awa, ang kahadlok sa Ginoo—mao ang kaalam; ang pagpahilayo sa daotan mao ang panabot.”
To man he said, 'Look, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom. To depart from evil is understanding.'"
