Jeremias 8

1 Nianang panahona—kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh—kuhaon nila gikan sa mga lubnganan ang mga bukog sa mga hari sa Juda ug sa mga opisyal niini, ang mga bukog sa mga pari ug sa mga propeta, ug ang mga bukog sa mga lumolupyo sa Jerusalem.

At that time, sayeth the Lord, they shall bring out the bones of the Kings of Iudah, and the bones of their princes, and the bones of the Priests and the bones of the Prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Ierusalem out of their graues.

2 Unya katagon nila kini ilalom sa kahayag sa adlaw ug bulan ug sa tanang mga bituon sa kalangitan; gisunod ug gialagaran nila kini nga mga butang sa kalangitan, nga gisundan nila ug gipangita, ug gisimba nila. Dili na tigomon ang mga bukog o ilubong pag-usab. Mahisama kini sa hugaw sa mga hayop ibabaw sa yuta.

And they shall spread them before the sunne and the moone, and all the host of heauen, whom they haue loued, and whome they haue serued, and whome they haue followed, and whome they haue sought, and whome they haue worshipped: they shall not be gathered nor be buried, but shall be as doung vpon the earth.

3 Sa matag nahibiling dapit diin giabog ko sila, mas pilion nila ang kamatayon kaysa kinabuhi alang sa ilang mga kaugalingon, kadtong tanan nga nahibilin gikan niining daotan nga nasod—kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh nga pangulo sa kasundalohang anghel.

And death shall bee desired rather then life of all the residue that remaineth of this wicked familie, which remaine in all the places where I haue scattered them, sayeth the Lord of hostes.

4 Busa sultihi sila, miingon si Yahweh niini: Dili ba mobangon si bisan kinsa nga matumba? Dili ba mosulay sa pagbalik si bisan kinsa nga nawala?

Thou shalt say vnto them also, Thus sayeth the Lord, Shall they fall and not arise? shall he turne away and not turne againe?

5 Nganong kini nga katawhan, sa Jerusalem, nagpadayon sa pagkawalay pagtuo? Nagpabilin sila sa pagkamabudhion ug nagdumili sa paghinulsol.

Wherefore is this people of Ierusalem turned backe by a perpetuall rebellion? they gaue themselues to deceit, and would not returne.

6 Nagpatalinghog ug naminaw ako, apan wala sila nagsulti ug matarong; walay usa nga nagbasol sa iyang pagkadotan, walay usa nga miingon, “Unsa man ang akong nabuhat?” Silang tanan mipadayon sa ilang gitinguha, sama sa laki nga kabayo nga nagdali padulong sa gubat.

I hearkened and heard, but none spake aright: no man repented him of his wickednesse, saying, What haue I done? euery one turned to their race, as the horse rusheth into the battell.

7 Bisan pa ang tolabong sa langit nasayod sa hustong mga panahon; ug ang mga salampati, mga sayaw, ug mga lapay. Moadto sila sa mga dapit nga ilang padulngan sa hustong panahon, apan wala masayod ang akong katawhan sa mga sugo ni Yahweh.

Euen the storke in the aire knoweth her appointed times, and the turtle and the crane and the swallowe obserue the time of their comming, but my people knoweth not the iudgement of the Lord.

8 Unsaon ninyo pag-ingon, nga “Maalamon kami, kay ang balaod ni Yahweh anaa kanato”? Sa pagkatinuod, tan-awa! Ang malimbongong pangsulat sa mga escriba nagbuhat ug bakak.

Howe doe yee say, Wee are wise, and the Lawe of the Lord is with vs? Loe, certeinly in vaine made hee it, the penne of the scribes is in vaine.

9 Maulaw ang maalamong mga tawo. Mahadlok ug malit-ag sila. Tan-awa! Gisalikway nila ang pulong ni Yahweh, busa unsa may kapuslanan sa ilang kaalam?

The wise men are ashamed: they are afraid and taken. loe, they haue reiected the word of the Lord, and what wisdome is in them?

10 Busa ihatag ko sa uban ang ilang mga asawa, ug ang ilang kaumahan ngadto sa mopanag-iya niini, tungod kay gikan sa yano ngadto sa pinakamahinungdanon, hakog silang tanan alang sa dili matinud-anon nga katuyoan! Gikan sa propeta ngadto sa pari, nagbuhat silang tanan ug bakak.

Therefore will I giue their wiues vnto others, and their fieldes to them that shall possesse them: for euery one from the least euen vnto the greatest is giuen to couetousnesse, and from the Prophet euen vnto the Priest, euery one dealeth falsely.

11 Giayo nila ang mga samad sa akong katawhan, sa pag-ingon “Kalinaw, Kalinaw” bisan walay kalinaw.

For they haue healed the hurt of the daughter of my people with sweete woordes, saying, Peace, peace, when there is no peace.

12 Naulaw ba sila sa dihang nagbuhat sila ug mga dulomtanan? Wala man gani sila naulaw! Busa mangapukan sila uban niadtong nangapukan; miingon si Yahweh, mapukan sila sa dihang silotan na sila.

Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not ashamed, neither coulde they haue any shame: therefore shall they fall among the slaine: when I shall visite them, they shall be cast downe, sayeth the Lord.

13 Papahawaon ko gayod sila sa hingpit—mao kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh—wala na unyay mga ubas sa paras, ni mga bunga sa mga kahoy nga igera. Kay malaya ang dahon, ug mangahanaw lamang ang gihatag ko kanila.

I wil surely consume them, sayth the Lord: there shalbe no grapes on the vine, nor figges on the figtree, and the leafe shall fade, and the things that I haue giuen them, shall depart from them.

14 Nganong nanglingkod man kita dinhi? magtigom kita; mangadto kita sa pinarilang mga siyudad, ug mangahilom kita didto sa kamatayon. Kay pahilomon kita ni Yahweh nga atong Dios. Paimnon niya kita ug hilo, tungod kay nakasala man kita batok kaniya.

Why doe we stay? assemble your selues, and let vs enter into the strong cities, and let vs be quiet there: for the Lord our God hath put vs to silence and giuen vs water with gall to drinke, because we haue sinned against the Lord.

15 Naghandom kita ug kalinaw, apan wala gayoy maayo. Naghandom kita ug panahon sa pagkaayo, apan tan-awa, adunay kalisang.

We looked for peace, but no good came, and for a time of health, and behold troubles.

16 Ang kinusmo sa iyang mga lalaking kabayo nadungog gikan sa Dan. Nauyog ang tibuok kalibotan sa dinahunog sa pagbahihi sa iyang kusgang mga kabayo. Kay moabot sila ug molamoy sa yuta ug sa kabtangan niini, ang siyudad ug sa nagpuyo niini.

The neying of his horses was heard from Dan, the whole lande trembled at the noyse of the neying of his strong horses: for they are come, and haue deuoured the land with all that is in it, the citie, and those that dwell therein.

17 Kay tan-awa, magpadala ako ug mga bitin sa inyong taliwala, mga malala nga bitin nga dili ninyo maorasyonan. Paakon nila kamo—kini ang gipahayag ni Yahweh.”'

For beholde, I will sende serpents, and cockatrices among you, which will not be charmed, and they shall sting you, sayth the Lord.

18 Walay kataposan ang akong kasubo, ug nasakitan ang akong kasingkasing.

I would haue comforted my selfe against sorowe, but mine heart is heauie in me.

19 Tan-awa! Ang pagtuaw sa anak nga babaye sa akong katawhan gikan sa layong yuta! Wala ba si Yahweh sa Zion? O wala ba ang iyang hari? Nganong gipasuko man nila ako pinaagi sa ilang kinulit nga mga larawan ug walay bili nga langyaw nga mga diosdios?

Behold, the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people for feare of them of a farre countrey, Is not the Lord in Zion? is not her king in her? Why haue they prouoked mee to anger with their grauen images, and with the vanities of a strange god?

20 Milabay na ang ting-ani ug nahuman na ang ting-init. Apan wala pa kita naluwas.

The haruest is past, the sommer is ended, and we are not holpen.

21 Nasakitan ako tungod kay nasakitan ang anak nga babaye sa akong katawhan. Nasubo ako sa makalilisang nga mga butang nga nahitabo kaniya; nadismaya ako.

I am sore vexed for the hurt of ye daughter of my people: I am heauie, and astonishment hath taken me.

22 Wala bay tambal sa Gilead? Wala bay mananambal didto? Nganong wala man naayo ang anak nga babaye sa akong katawhan?

Is there no balme at Gilead? is there no Physition there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recouered.
