Jeremias 40

1 Miabot ang pulong ngadto kang Jeremias gikan kang Yahweh human nga gibuhian siya ni Nebuzaradan nga pangulo sa mga tigpanalipod sa hari didto sa Rama. Nakita niya si Jeremias nga gikadenahan uban sa tanang mga binihag sa Jerusalem ug sa Juda nga gidala ngadto sa pagkabihag sa Babilonia.

The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye, aftir that he was delyuered of Nabusardan, maister of chyualrie, fro Rama, whanne he took hym boundun with chaynes, in the myddis of alle men that passiden fro Jerusalem, and fro Juda, and weren led in to Babyloyne.

2 Gikuha si Jeremias sa pangulo sa guwardiya ug miingon ngadto kaniya, “Gitakda ni Yahweh nga imong Dios kini nga katalagman alang niini nga dapit.

Therfor the prince of chyualrie took Jeremye, and seide to hym, Thi Lord God spak this yuel on this place,

3 Busa gituman gayod kini ni Yahweh. Gibuhat gayod niya sumala sa iyang gisugo, sanglit nakasala man kamong katawhan batok kaniya ug wala magtuman sa iyang tingog. Mao nga nahitabo kini nga butang kaninyo.

and the Lord hath brouyt, and hath do, as he spak; for ye synneden to the Lord, and herden not the vois of hym, and this word is doon to you.

4 Apan karon tan-awa! Gitanggalan ko ikaw gikan sa mga kadena nga anaa sa imong mga kamot. Kung maayo kini alang kanimo nga mouban ka kanako didto sa Babilonia, uban, ug atimanon ko ikaw. Apan kung dili kini maayo alang kanimo nga mouban kanako sa Babilonia, ayaw kana buhata. Tan-awa ang tibuok yuta sa imong atubangan. Lakaw kung asa ang maayo ug husto sa imong panan-aw nga adtoan.”

Now therfor lo! Y haue releessid thee to dai fro the chaynes that ben in thin hondis; if it plesith thee to come with me in to Babiloyne, come thou, and Y schal sette myn iyen on thee; sotheli if it displesith thee to come with me in to Babiloyne, sitte thou here; lo! al the lond is in thi siyt, that that thou chesist, and whidur it plesith thee to go, thidur go thou,

5 Sa dihang wala mitubag si Jeremias, miingon si Nebuzaradan, “Lakaw ngadto kang Gedalia nga anak nga lalaki ni Ahikam nga anak nga lalaki ni Shafan, nga maoy gipadumala sa hari sa Babilonia sa mga siyudad sa Juda. Pabilin ngadto kaniya uban sa katawhan o lakaw bisan asa nga maayo sa imong panan-aw nga adtoan.” Gihatagan siya sa pangulo sa mga tigpanalipod sa hari ug pagkaon ug gasa, ug unya gipalakaw siya.

and nyle thou come with me. But dwelle thou with Godolie, sone of Aicham, sone of Saphan, whom the kyng of Babiloyne made souereyn to the citees of Juda; therfor dwelle thou with hym in the myddis of the puple, ether go thou, whidir euer it plesith thee to go. And the maister of chyualrie yaf to hym metis, and yiftis, and lefte hym.

6 Busa miadto si Jeremias kang Gedalia nga anak nga lalaki ni Ahikam, sa Mizpa. Mipuyo siya uban kaniya ug uban sa katawhan nga nahibilin sa yuta.

Forsothe Jeremye cam to Godolie, sone of Aicham, in to Masphat, and dwellide with hym, in the myddis of the puple that was left in the lond.

7 Karon, nakadungog ang ubang mga pangulo sa kasundalohan nga taga-Juda—sila ug ang ilang mga katawhan—nga atua pa gihapon sa kabukiran, nga gihimo sa hari sa Babilonia nga gobernador sa tibuok yuta si Gedalia nga anak nga lalaki ni Ahikam. Nadunggan usab nila nga siya ang gibutang aron magdumala sa mga kalalakin-an, kababayen-an ug mga kabataan nga labing kabos sa tanang katawhan sa yuta, kadtong wala nabihag didto sa Babilonia.

And whanne alle princes of the oost hadden herd, that weren scatered bi cuntreis, thei and the felowis of hem, that the kyng of Babiloyne hadde maad Godolie souereyn of the lond, the sone of Aicham, and that he hadde bitake to Godolie men, and wymmen, and litle children, and of pore men of the lond, that weren not translatid in to Babiloyne,

8 Busa miadto sila kang Gedalia didto sa Mizpa. Kining mga tawhana mao sila Ismael nga anak nga lalaki ni Netania; si Johanan ug Jonatan nga mga anak nga lalaki ni Karea; Seraya nga anak nga lalaki ni Tanhumet; mga anak nga lalaki ni Efai nga taga-Netofa; ug Jaazania nga anak nga lalaki sa taga-Maaca—sila ug ilang mga katawhan.

thei camen to Godolie in Masphat; and Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, and Johannan, the sone of Caree, and Jonathan, and Sareas, the sone of Tenoemeth, and the sones of Offi, that weren of Nethophati, and Jeconye, the sone of Machati; bothe thei and her men camen to Godolie.

9 Nanumpa si Gedalia nga anak nga lalaki ni Ahikam nga anak nga lalaki ni Shafan ngadto kanila ug sa ilang mga katawhan ug miingon ngadto kanila, “Ayaw kahadlok sa pag-alagad sa mga opisyal sa Caldeanhon. Puyo kamo sa yuta ug alagari ang hari sa Babilonia, ug maghatag kini ug kaayohan nganha kaninyo.

And Godolie, sone of Aicham, sone of Saphan, swoor to hem, and to the felowis of hem, and seide, Nyle ye drede to serue Caldeis; but dwelle ye in the lond, and serue ye the kyng of Babiloyne, and it schal be wel to you.

10 Tan-awa, magpuyo ako sa Mizpa aron makigtagbo sa mga Caldeanhon nga mianhi kanato. Busa, pamupo ug ubas aron himoong bino, pag-ani ug mga prutas sa ting-init, ug lana ug tipigi kini sa inyong mga sudlanan. Puyo kamo sa mga siyudad nga inyo nang gipuy-an.”

Lo! Y dwelle in Mesphath, for to answere to the comaundement of Caldeis, that ben sent to vs; forsothe gadere ye vyndage, and ripe corn, and oile, and kepe ye in youre vessels, and dwelle ye in youre citees whiche ye holden.

11 Unya nadunggan sa tanang taga-Juda sa Moab, nga kauban sa katawhan sa Amon, ug sa Edom, ug sa tanang yuta, nga gitugotan sa hari sa Babilonia ang nahibilin nga taga-Juda nga magpabilin, ug gipili niya si Gedalia nga anak nga lalaki ni Ahikam nga anak nga lalaki ni Shafan nga magdumala kanila.

But also alle the Jewis, that weren in Moab, and in the oostis of Amon, and in Ydumee, and in alle the cuntreis, whanne it is herd, that the kyng of Babiloyne hadde youe residues, ether remenauntis, in Judee, and that he hadde maad souereyn on hem Godolie, the sone of Aicham, sone of Saphan,

12 Busa namalik ang tanang taga-Juda gikan sa tanang dapit diin sila nagkatibulaag. Mibalik sila sa yuta sa Juda, ngadto kang Gedalia sa Mizpa. Namupo sila ug mga ubas aron himoong bino ug nag-ani ug mga bunga sa ting-init sa hilabihan nga kadagaya.

sotheli alle Jewis turneden ayen fro alle places, to whiche thei hadden fled; and thei camen in to the lond of Juda, to Godolie in Masphat, and gaderiden wyn and ripe corn ful myche.

13 Miadto si Johanan nga anak nga lalaki ni Karea ug ang tanang pangulo sa kasundalohan nga anaa sa kabukiran ngadto kang Gedalia sa Mizpa.

Forsothe Johannan, the sone of Caree, and alle the princes of the oost, that weren scaterid in the cuntreis, camen to Godolie in Masphath,

14 Miingon sila kaniya, “Nasayod ka ba nga gipadala ni Baalis nga hari sa katawhan sa Amon si Ismael nga anak nga lalaki ni Netania aron sa pagpatay kanimo?” Apan wala mituo kanila si Gedalia nga anak nga lalaki ni Ahikam.

and seiden to hym, Wite thou, that Bahalis, kyng of the sones of Amon, hath sent Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, to smyte thi lijf. And Godolie, the sone of Aicham, bileuyde not to hem.

15 Busa gisultihan sa hilom ni Johanan nga anak nga lalaki ni Karea si Gedalia sa Mizpa ug miingon, “Tugoti ako sa pagpatay kang Ismael nga anak nga lalaki ni Netania. Walay maghunahuna nga ako ang mibuhat. Ug nganong patyon ka man niya? Nganong tugotan man ang tanang taga-Juda nga nagkatigom nganha kanimo aron magkatibulaag ug mapuo ang nahibilin sa Juda?”

Forsothe Johannan, the sone of Caree, seide to Godolie asidis half in Masphath, and spak, Y schal go, and sle Ismael, the sone of Nathanye, while no man knowith, lest he sle thi lijf, and alle the Jewis ben scatered, that ben gaderid to thee, and the remenauntis of Juda schulen perische.

16 Apan miingon si Gedalia nga anak nga lalaki ni Ahikam kang Johanan nga anak nga lalaki ni Karea, “Ayaw buhata kining butanga, tungod kay nagsulti ka lang ug bakak mahitungod kang Ismael.”

And Godolie, the sone of Aicham, seide to Johannan, the sone of Caree, Nyle thou do this word, for thou spekist fals of Ismael.
